Kimi no wa

What's his name again?

Bomberman Clusterfuck

hikitani hachiman

It's in the image.

taki?

generico

Well after the adaptation he'll be Blacki

I think it's suki.

Shoya Ishida?

and she will be native american... i hate this gay earth

I find it funny how this anime has so many ratings on MAL. Yet the two main characters have less favorites than both from a silent voice. Just goes to show how forgetable and generic they really are.

because it's actually not that good, even Shinkai said it himself

The whole film kind of sucks beyond it's marketing.
Think about it, they actually skip over all of the body swap fun in favor of some shitty music video and try to sell us an uninspired love story that's full of plot holes.
It's such a mild movie in the end...

Fuck you, I like Mitsuha. I want to musubi with her.

5cm/s was better.

who

5cm deserved Kimi no Na wa's ending and Kimi no Na wa deserved 5cm's ending.

Classic pleb opinion. 5cm is beautiful but it's not much more than all the rough elements of Kimi no na wa haphazardly strung together

did this have any ntr? i heard the ending was sad

It's really not that great of a film
This movie hurts for me because I asked my ex out to see this with me when we first met

Imagine trying to convince yourself you didn't like Kimi no Na wa

(it's meant for the poster above but it applies to what you said too)
I disagree. The film's only good because it ends the way it does. From the end of the first arc/chapter where they're separated to the very end shows how the protagonist shuts himself off from the world and from that gorgeous okinawan chick in favour of what's essentially some fantasy version of his former friend and crush. He's miserable because of it and nothing comes of it at the end. In fact, nothing could ever come of it at the end because guess what? He hasn't seen this chick for the majority of his life (at the end of the film that is). He doesn't know her. She can't compete with the fantasy version of her in his head the same way no one else can. It would never have worked out, and that's the point of the film and why I love it so much. It's the complete opposite of Kimi no na wa. 5cm is a more sombre take on that sort of story, where life just gets in the way, instead of adding some fantasy time travel bullshit for the star-crossed lovers. You've gotta cherish what you had - just like the Okinawan cutie does at the end of the second chapter/arc - and move on. If the protagonist of Byousoku just reconnected with the girl at the end then the rest of the film would have been a complete waste.

No and yes. The film is sad because the struggle of the protagonist is very relatable (especially to anons). But there's no actual NTR even though the protagonist may feel that way. Basically He and a girl are very close as kids, but they have to move away. They stop having contact and the girl moves on and gets married. The guy clings to her memory

Just goes to show how good they are without being literal pity parties if you ask me.
They don't need so incredibly edgy backstory to make them interesting, they are just relatable, 3 dimensional fleshed out everyday people in an anime.
That's one of many reasons why this film edgies out weak melodramatic shit like a slient voice.

i cry everytime

This but unironically. I would go as far as crying but I do get pretty emotional. I also love the music video for "one more time, one more chance"

Wow a good post on Yea Forums

JUST A CITY BOY

The girl's town looks comfy as fuck. And so does the rural village in 5cm/s. Riding a little scooter to school sounds like fun.

KIMI NO SEI KIMI NO SEI

Some user said that apparently the notion of body swapping is offensive in many Native American cultures so at least we have some outrage porn to look forward to.

This movie was a pile of fucking garbage, overdrawn out crap during the first part, shitty metaphoric sophistry during the second, 1 minute of the third act spent on a virgin loser crying

Do you mean in general, or in comparison to your name? Because anime movies in general are lower quality than other media, yet 5cm is definitely one of the better ones

> overdrawn
The film needed to get the viewer at least partially invested in their relationship, and that can't be done just by telling us "hey these two really like each other, now moving on".
> shitty metaphoric sophistry during the second
What are you referring to? There's no metaphors or any kind of philosophy in this film.
> 1 minute of the third act spent on a virgin loser crying
Imagine actually believing that a film isn't worth watching because it's about a "loser". I guess that's why Isekai is so popular nowadays.

its i love you

The doujin where Mitsuha uses his body to have gay sex is fantastic

It didn’t have a cute deaf girl that made you want to sexually a cute deaf girl so it’s a shit movie.

It is said that deaf people make some wild noises in bed because they were never exposed to pornography so they don't know the proper noises and can't restrain themselves for the obvious reason that they can't hear themselves. Imagine having sex with that shy girl from A Silent Voice when she starts making these primal animal noises while you fuck her.

Jamal and Pocahontas

>they actually skip over all of the body swap fun
I was so disillusioned when I saw the movie because I expected it to be mainly about this. Where the fuck did that meteorite even come from? What a dumb idea.

Taka? Pretty easy to remember since it's so short

Tyrone.

>HAHAHAHA HE GRITTED HIS BREASTS I WOULD DO THAT OFF I WAS A GIRL TOO AND I WOULD DO GUY THINGS IF I WAS A GIRL HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
Come on I know anime watchers don't have the most mature tastes, but you really wanted to watch hours more of that shit

>implying you didn't
