My biggest problem with Touma is honestly how he's written. If he wasn't repeatedly called a normal highschool boy, and actually classified as a legitimately powerful esper, then I wouldn't dislike Touma as much as I do. Honestly if Touma was replaced with Kakine, then I could honestly enjoy Index a whole lot more. Of course, I guess you'd have to swap Touma's personality with Kakine's. Or not, that might be fun.

I like Touma. I like the cheesy speeches, and I'm the kind of faggot who actually tears up when an anime baits it. I liked the Misaka-clones and Accelerator, that was a pretty fun arc. Solo Accelerator arc was also interesting. I'm watching it pretty slow and I think that you need to take a few days off every couple of episodes because otherwise it could become a bit repetitive. I don't really like any of the girls, but that's not the reason I'm watching. I'm here for the "you're not living your life correctly". Can Touma slap me through the screen?

Kamachi doesn't put much emphasis on the girls either. It's the males that shine.

Though Accelerator has a tendency to play a large role when he appears, there's some reasonable gaps in the timeline where he doesn't appear at all to play with. I think it's more of a powerlevel thing. Even though the spinoff is set when Accelerator is weakest (right after brain damage) they still admitted that they brought magic into the first arc because there's so little on the science side that can even challenge him. So I think Accelerator is being shoved to the side so characters like Himegi and Yumi can struggle before Accelerator cleans everything up.

He's about to fight a demon. The anime serves as reminder how Fiamma simply implying he was lying to Index shook him. How's he gonna deal with a demon telling him he's lying to the entire world? And manages to cut him off from everyone - no Othinus, no Lessar cheer up, no Will headpat, no Mikoto/Misaki speechzap, not even Accelerator with a "Hey, hero! Weren't you the one that said "do what you want"?" That situation could get pretty nasty, especially considering it could be NT9 without the safety "understanding" button.

Another thing I wanted to respond to was "what if Coronzon pulled out a possibility of Accelerator that went futher down the Sisters experiment and actually went Level 6"

Well, the clones were NEVER gonna all be killed no matter what. No matter how many clones he killed he would have never "leveled" up, at least not in the sense of Level 6.

1. Look up "real world magic"
2. Create power that can negate magic.
3. Create protagonist that can use that power.
4. Create setting where that power can be easily put to use.
5. Create AC, with a more familiar power system, to serve as a contrast to magic.

You could also tell IB was supposed to be extremely pivotal to the main plot by the end of OT2 with Aleister's remarks about it being the proof for the existence of something.
