At first that's kind of what she is - an aggressive loudmouth so clumsy that you feel bad for her. Over time, though, it becomes clear that she's more than that. It pretty effectively mirrors her relationship with Ryuuji - how he helped her at first out of something like pity but grew over time to genuinely like her.
And when I say "over time" I mean within a few episodes, so I don't know how you watched four entire episodes without finding at least one reason to care about her.
I heard about that, but it's a non-canon VN with multiple routes, and I doubt it's of the same quality. Also, it's not like I could find it to play it anyway.
