Teru's specialty is actually versatility. Ritsu is also a little bit more versatile than Mob.

The thing is, Mob is so powerful he usually doesn't need to be versatile or learn new tricks. He can simply brute-force through mostly anything.

Mob's true power is actually stockpiling power like a giant battery and since ESP comes from emotions, and considering he's always containing his emotions and refusing to use his powers, he always has a huge reserve of power in him. If he decided to drain his power all the time he'd probably be more like Ritsu or Teru (who are powerful espers, too.)

I hope this isn't just one arc that gets dropped for other psychic shenanigans. Does having his entire family burn to death in front of him actually affect the story long-term?
