Loved the dub more than Pokemon/Digimon as a child, can't stand it now but the JP is still amazing.
This was way deserving of a remake, especially now in the era of isekai, since the premise was very similar.

A soulless cash grab adaptation of a video game that had 2 (TWO) good episodes out of a total of 26.
Incidentally, both of those episodes deal with body horror as their major theme. In one of those episodes the MC is mindbroken after witnessing said body horror.

My most stand out memory of this show was when the MC dreamt that he woke up back in the real world and that his experience in the monster rancher world was all a dream. He freaked out and ran around screaming his friends names because he was so distraught by the fact that he had to go back to his shitty normal life.
Then he woke up.
