Even though I enjoyed it, after the dark signers arc the series really loses direction. Even after all the unnecessary filler is out of the way the writers just do the most dull by the numbers storyline imaginable that makes you question wtf was the point of all those filler episodes if the end result still looks like they couldn't decide how to properly end it.

Honestly every YGO is like that. We have a slow starter into a great arc or two, and then it just all goes downhill quick. Zexal is the one rare exception because its entire first half is dogshit and the second half is...well it's better.
