The show probably pull the same move as GuP, in that WW2 happened exactly as real life, with the same battles and the same weapons, but absolutely everything else non-war was different.

Depends on the plane to be honest, early war british fiighters had problems with Negative-G manuevers but german 109s didn't. And the problems with the british planes where fixed with a device invented by a female engineer Beatrice Shilling. I am not too versed with japanese planes but both Hayabusa and Zero where well known their maneuveribility and I don't think I have read that they had the same problems british had.

That's... incredibly stupid. The 262 had wings on the pods because they grew too big too fit the fuselage and they had to stick them on the wings... but they left the fuselage fat for them. The wings were swept to compensate for the center of gravity change from that- which also increases drag at the speeds it would fly at.
The 162? Are we defending the aerodynamics of that thing? It didn't even have a straight wing, which increases drag, because of a similar lack of time to redesign to fix stability issues properly.

The P-80? Split flaps, fuselage-mounted engine, no retarded slapped-on fixes to aerodynamics, dive flaps, airbrake, bubble canopy, powered ailerons. But apparently that's primitive.

That's just the fault of Kylie and the other pancake fanatics.

Also: the wing drop tanks were there because they provided increased efficiency over drop tanks at centerline, for similar reasons to efficiency increases from winglets. If you're going to carry drop tanks, how is it primitive to put them where they're useful?

No, but it does make use of a lot of the ideas common to battle harems. I wasn't expecting much from it at first because of that, but it's really grown on me in a way Kotobuki hasn't. The 162 was specifically mentioned in a conversation about the german jets being far superior to the P-80, aerodynamically. Not including a revolutionary new feature that literally only one other plane at the time made use of, and that not even intentionally, is not "absurdly primitive" design.

That configuration would definitely make more sense for dogfighting, given the greater rate of fire and ammo capacity.
I’d just never heard of a design for a single-engine fighter with more than 4x30mm’s before.

The reason their world is so fucked up is because it’s actually the Gears of War planet set in the distant future. Chika just so happens to be the new Locust queen.

Japanese had a habit to estimate and test their plane's max speed with military power, while others used war emergency power and other boost systems for it. Fuel quality mattered too.
J2M, N1K2-J, Ki-84 and Ki-83 were all notably faster in allied tests than in initial Japanese tests.

The combat is kinda shit because you don't get to do anything but watch and the AI is beyond retarded.
Some of the 3* characters are retardedly broken and there's a huge power gap between them and normal characters in general so if you don't whale or get lucky you're gonna have a bad time.

Not much of a grind as it gets done in few clicks. Especially if you use instant fight tickets.
Gameplay consists mainly of judging your opponent's strengths and weaknesses, fielding right girls in right planes as a counter, and gambling upon AI's ability to do the right things. It's pretty fun. I'd suggest you to try it out.
Tbh it's probably the first mobage where I enjoy doing the pvp and am kinda successful despite being f2p and using 2*s.

They don't carry much crew or cargo that we've seen, in excess of what's needed to service their very small air wing. Based on size estimates relative to hindenburg, you have about 3 times the available mass to carry. Pretty feasible for a small 6-12 fighters, especially when you can do mild landings given the airship's speed and the much shorter range the airship would need compared to transatlantic crossings.

My global rank is consistently dropping but the people I get matched against get increasingly higher leveled characters despite my team not changing

You have to change your team manually for some reason.
I'm currently 3638th in pvp, my best was 3447th. Feels like I hit a wall, everybody's got a full 4/5 stars teams that spam healing and invincibility skills.

Yeah, I mean that I'm not leveling my team (haven't increased the limit beyond 60 yet anyway) but the level of enemies I have to fight keeps going up and there's always at least 1 lv70 in at this point. Usually at least 1 5* in the team as well.

I remember the thread where some pixel counting anons determined the size of the Hagoromo (and by extension the other identical airships we’ve seen so far) relative to the Hindenburg, and I agree with them having about 3x the total displacement. However, due to their nature as aircraft carriers, there wouldn’t be room to devote as large a percentage of their total volume to lifting gas as the Hindenburg, so I doubt they could actually triple its payload.

As for plane capacity, some game footage I’ve watched leads me to believe it might actually be at least 30. In the opening scene where you can look around 360 degrees while getting ready for takeoff, the hangar bays on each side of the runway looked way longer than necessary for only 6 planes apiece. They went on for at least a third of the runway’s total length, plenty for 15 planes per side. Meanwhile in the bar, it looks like there’s a space for each of the 5 teams to congregate. This suggests the ultimate goal is to collect all 30 girls and their planes on your ship.

Last, pic related. These ships may have been repurposed into various roles over the years, but whoever originally designed them wanted to build a fucking Battlestar. Those bays behind the retractable doors contain 24 heavy looking guns per side, in addition to the 10 external turrets located fore and aft. (It would make sense that the side guns on the Hagoromo weren’t manned or loaded due to its nature as a cargo hauler, but why were the doors open when it was under attack?)

It seems damn near impossible that one of these things in its original role as a dedicated warship could even get off the ground with a full combat load. At least according to our laws of physics, that is. Either way, hope we’ll eventually get more info about how the airships work in this world, like with that OVA about schoolships in GuP.

You can always choose to not fight whales. There's no limit on clicking the "refresh" button until someone weak appears. I'm at 1900 rating and people here rarely have more stars on their team than you can obtain from quests. I see occasional whale with like 75k rating coming through but not often at all.
