Is there a more poorly written, more retarded, boring character in the history of entertainment? Hurr u die imma kill you nerd. Just boring, everything he says is predictable, with the most boring vanilla backstory. He’s literally just like an autistic child tried to write Vegeta into a superhero book. The whole fucking show is aids but this dude, he really just makes it unwatchable.

I know he's supposed to be fit the angsty rival archetype, but he just comes off as an asshole lunatic.

It’s not even angst it’s like autism

He’s a chad. You wouldn’t understand.

What is he actual problem, anyway?

He doesn’t get girls tho

Hey, fujos love him. Corporations couldn't ask for a better money-making machine of a character.

>He doesn’t get girls tho
>what is jirou, camie, ochako, frog

I didn't like him at all but after the O MY reveal with my already building resent I can empathize with him for hating Deku.

Take a break from BNHA threads user, before you start citing shitposts.

beta cuck japs love chads

The only romance plot is Ochako and Deku and perhaps Jiro and Pikachu guy

Yes that's the point.

So we're supposed to dislike him?

Seething beta male

Bakuchad will have bred all the females by the time BnHA ends

Exactly.
And his road to redemption is a long one, the first step being him accepting that he's not going to reach the same heights as Deku.

At least he and his boyfriend are hot and make for good porn

>I'll handle his character with care

Attached: 1537826138721.jpg (200x200, 13K)

>tfw that alternate Bakugou reminds me of myself motivating people
So I'm an a asshole apparently.

Bakugo is a pretty good character himself. The problem is the way people react to his behavior. No one really ever gets upset with his anti-social bullshit enough for it to ever interfere with anything so he rarely faces consequences for it. Like if I told you someone was going to fail a major exam for failing to put aside petty bullshit and be a team player would you expect that person to be Todoroki or Bakugo? He also commits straight up crimes and never sees any punishment for it.

>Hey this student aimed a deadly explosive at another student and continued to fire it after he was warned not to. Should we expel him or call the police or have a parent/teacher conference or something?
>Of course not, that just shows how passionate young Bakugo is! And wasn't he so brilliant knowing that Deku wouldn't die if he wasn't hit. Such a genius...

I realize Hori has said that he wish he wrote Bakugo a little nicer from the start, but just pretending that you did while still leaving his bullshit past as canon just makes everyone around him seem like a weak willed moron for putting up with him.

Yup.

Hero society is rotten, what did you expect?

>i still love u, bakubaku

there are way more female characters that are poorly written due to poor gender equality in japan and sexism. why do you pick up on this guy particular? jealous much? you fucking neckbeard incel.

Fuck off, Stain. Who let you use a computer?

Lose some weight, hambeast.

I think I would have like it more if he was like All Might. Where everything is so easy for him, so he's rather insensitive in areas that other people struggle. But him being basically a big, bullying jock with an overactive pituitary gland works too.

What is the MC Teppu.

>Bakugo is a pretty good character himself.
he's fucking terrible, his fans keep parroting this stuff about him being so "interesting" but I never saw an argument actually explaining why

just slapping an inferiority complex on a turbocunt who gets away with everything doesn't make for a good character, it creates a power fantasy for retarded fangirls and cucks who think this is what masculinity looks like

Based and accurate

They just find his chimpouts funny.

nah you've got plenty of spergs who insist he's like a genuinely brilliant insight on human nature or some shit

Bakugo's inferiority complex does make sense in context. His motivations and reactions are extreme, but logical in the sense of who he is, this is what I mean by a good character himself. His actions are believable.

> who gets away with everything

Now that's the problem because a character isn't just their actions, they're also the effect those actions have on other people and this is where Hori fails. No one should be taking the amount of bullshit they do from Bakugo and his come to Jesus moment after getting kidnapped should have been a lot harder on him. Also treating his "I wanna beat up everyone!" motive as equal to Deku's "I want to save everyone!" motive is stupid as fuck.

>Bakugo's inferiority complex does make sense in context
but no, it doesn't

there's no real justification for his inferiority complex, it just is

fuck even vegeta had a better explanation for the way he was, and we're talking about dragonball here which has super basic writing

Hurrr durr Kachad durr hgnn fucking retard.

I literally can't think of any rational reason to justify Bakugo's behavior, and he's supposedly a 150IQ Chad genius with superior natural skills, yet seethes when someone is both better or worse at anything than he is.

He's only there to be fed to Deku when he unlocks the true POWAH of OfA.
He's gonna be Deku's personal jobber and serve as a reminder as to why Deku will be #1.

What's predictable about him?
Sometimes he screams like an autist and is the best at everything and succeeds while everyone comments about how much he needs to grow, but other times he screams like an autist and is the best at everything and succeeds while everyone comments on how much he's grown.
If that doesn't keep you engaged, I don't know what will.

I'm just astonished people defend him. This isn't some Nardo Sasuage edge "Il kill you Narutooooooo!!!!" nonsense. This is genuine hate and Deku constantly running after him put me off so much. I've never seen a shonen MC more pathetic.

Attached: yeah... sorry.png (1350x475, 821K)

>made him explosively rotten and detestably, and I'm glad I did.
Fucking why though

This. It's not that Bakugo's archetype is inherently shitty (though I do hate it), but the way Hori writes everyone around just makes him that much worse.

Their relationship is like spongebob and squidward's.

If Squidward beat on Sponebob everyday.

I just get a figurative boner from bully characters that's why he is my favorite

Attached: 1525215687224.jpg (1200x1428, 157K)

Squidward never goes out of his way to bully and maim Spongebob. Hell, Squidward has actually admitted to Spongebob being in the right from time to time.

Also, Sasuke is a villain. Having him be blatantly evil is fine because he actually is evil and needed to be redeemed. He's still punishing himself for his actions by choosing to live with one arm and not live in the village.
With Bakugou, we're expected to believe that a violent lunatic who ruthlessly tormented a handicapped kid for 10 years and has yet to show any remorse whatsoever is a good guy.
The only reason he wants to be a hero is because he wants to be able to beat the shit out of people legally and is willing to reluctantly rescue people if it means he can satisfy his bloodlust.
That could be an interesting character and an exploration of the idea of pro heroes if he was presented as the piece of shit his actions make him out to be, but the paragon of heroism thinks he's the bees knees and the child he's been bullying since they've been old enough to form memories worships the ground he walks on.

I don't think Deku still looking up to Bombboy is that unrealistic, I use to do that even through highschool thinking the asshole kids were just the coolest and bringing then food, pop and shit
just to even be yelled at for being a faggot felt good if it was them doing it till I grew up out of that mentality

All Might's reaction to Bakugou is even worse than Midoriya's. How am I supposed to take him seriously as a hero when he thinks Bakugou is a good friend and not a danger to those around him?
At least Deku has the excuse of being a naive kid and a giant cuck.

it's more like itchy and scratchy

except we're supposed to think it's an exciting rivalry between two estranged friends or some shit

I mean the problem is that they're said to be "childhood friends" but we never actually see Bakugo do anything friendly for Deku. He's a prick to him if he even acknowledges him at all. And the one time we see Deku do something genuinely friendly it triggers Bakugo so much it makes him into a psychopath for the rest of his life.

Everyone can admire a dick occasionally, but to put up with constant abuse with no positive feedback whatsoever for a decade is ludicrous. If nothing else you think a parent or someone would have gotten involved at some point.

>"childhood friends"
That's just what Deku thinks of him. Not sure how everyone else believes it too.

Yeah that's why he's based.

> "childhood friends"
yes from dekus point of pov I highly doubt Bakugo feels the same way back

I like him because he's part of the MC crew but he's not going to be a hyper faggot who becomes the MCs cuck like Piccolo, Vegeta, Kuwabara, Sanosuke, Neiji, and the hundreds of other "antagonist" characters who become allies of the MC and become watered down characters. The writing isn't always perfect and like others have said, the fact that he gets away with so much without any consequence is bullshit and the writing is obviously a bit poor. But a kid who hate to lose and has an inferiority complex is a neat idea on someone who is obviously supposed to grow through the series. I like that he HAS warmed up to someone and that only 1, maybe 2 if you count Pikachu boy seem to actually like being around him while the rest of the class seem to think he's a psycho asshole and they're more than content to ignore him for the most part. Out of the 19 other students, 18 of them suck Deku's dick and Bakugo is the only one who isn't. I also like how he shits on the other classes and treats certain characters with a modicum of respect, like Todoroki and Ochako in the sports festival fights. Sure he says dumb edgy shit like I'll kill you but he clearly wants to BEAT Todoroki because of how strong he is, to prove himself. And he doesn't treat Ochako like some background canon fodder either. He's a faggot and he needs some work to be a BETTER character, but at his base I think he's interesting at the very least. In fact, my BIGGEST issue with Bakugo lies in Deku and Allmight. I understand both of them want to save him from himself and/or the league of villains. Deku trying to help him in episode 1 makes a lot of sense. But that episode where Bakugo is storming off crying like a bitch, Deku should have completely stood up to him. Drop the faggy Kacchan nickname, stop trying to interact with him and at least PRETEND you're not pissing your pants when he looks in your direction. Treat him like a rival type.

>That could be an interesting character and an exploration of the idea of pro heroes if he was presented as the piece of shit his actions make him out to be
exactly

the character COULD be interesting, you could write something good with a premise like "guy who despises the weak and wants to dominate others wants to be a hero" but the thing immediately collapses when you solely portray it as an admirable thing and an example for other characters to follow

>And he doesn't treat Ochako like some background canon fodder either
abandon the thread here come the tumblr landwhales

Chill nigger, I like that he took her seriously when her friends were telling him to lay off or not go so hard. Would have been a similar situation if it was even someone shitty like Mineta. I really enjoyed a peek at his personality that he doesn't see everyone as literally garbage not worth my time tier.
