Relatively. Just a hobbyist. And not really good at it myself. (I was the one who did the templates and the Tarantula edit.) I know a few people who I'd consider artists though.

Depends on how much time you can invest. Apparently, people have managed to become pretty good within half a year, but that requires that you basically make it your main job for a while. 8 hours a day or more.

Definitely. I just think that adults tend to give up faster than children do, and are far too critical towards themselves. Children just draw.
But you can try to use that critical approach to your advantage and actively seek to learn from your errors.

Going into it systematically does help. Studying anatomy if you want to draw humans, studying architecture id you want to draw buildings, studying nature if you want to draw landscapes, and so on.
Keeping it simple in the beginning, adding in complex stuff like lighting and unusual perspectives later on. (And I, personally, suck at that latter stuff.)
