So let me see if I get this right, originally there were 7 sisters:

All of them came from the "First Person" but ??? died right away after they were born, so the other 6 just tried to survive in this world but 3 of them died along the way, at some point Rina divided into 6 Rinas, 2 died and then Wakaba appeared from nowhere leaving the group like:

Right? Still have many questions but in general the story of the sisters isn't that complicated, I think. My bigger question would be what the hell Wakaba is since he doesn't seem to be related to the "First Person".

Originally, there was one girl. This girl drank 'a pink liquid' and became seven sisters. The first sister, ???, threw herself into the red fog and (presumably) died shortly after being born. Ryoku wrote everything down into the yellow Kemurikusa and was presumed dead by the rest after disappearing. Riku also disappeared at some point and was presumed dead, but appears to have joined up with Ryoku to do something. The only actually dead sisters (currently) are Ryou, two Rinas, and ???. Wakaba somehow came about, but has no prior memories and has the personality of a young child despite appearing older than Rina, who all bully him like older sisters do to their younger brother. It's possible Wakaba is a fruit born from Midori-chan and it's also possible that green kemurikusa can bring back the dead if he is a dead human who came into contact with green kemurikusa somehow while being transported back to Midori-chan. We just don't know who or what Wakaba is, just that he's a fucking silly dork and that he's the only one in the group that knows how to use the kemurikusa.

What we have no idea about is what exactly kemurikusa are, what started this whole situation, what their original mission was, what Ryoku and Riku are doing, and what the fuck will happen in the next six episodes.

For me the line in ED suggests otherwise.
Though I can't explain why he popped out of the tank instead of splitting off the First person like the rest of them.
First Person had a mission, likely connected to this whole grass catastrophe, chances are s/he wasn't a grass being but maybe she was some kind of human / kemurikusa hybrid.

Nah. The Rinas happen to have the ability to split apart and come together at will. They can also store an endless amount of matter inside them and I think they also said they can split and make more if they eat enough, I don't remember. It's why they can pull girders from themselves to maul red bugs during combat.

Thank you user. Having watched it, I do wonder how some of the information in the last couple minutes will come into play here? Specifically, Wakaba being a fruit of Midori-chan and that the red bugs' goal is to purify the land of kemurikusa. Also the disappearance order is different too (Ryuko -> Riku -> a Rin -> Ryou in the ONA and Ryuko -> Ryou -> a Rin -> Riku) in the EDs, so it's possible Ryou's death may have been a direct influence on Riku's decision to fake her own death and find/follow Ryuko?
Looking closer at the ED in the anime too, I do think it's pretty subtle of them to have Wakaba's silhouette come from a gust of Midori-chan's leaves. It's also pretty cool seeing what things they decided to expand upon and what changed between the ONA and the anime. Ritsu being frail and sickly and depending more on Midori-chan and its roots makes more sense than her being able to project herself, and I do think changing their color schemes to separate themselves from Midori-chan to avoid confusing their origins with Wakaba's is also a pretty good choice too. Also, changing the number of Rinas from seven to six was a good idea too since they couldn't fit five at once on the same screen when doing close-up shots.

Also, them being aliens still hasn't really come up. Wonder what significance there is in that?

So on the twitter shorts, two things are happening with the logo: One is that the petals are becoming gray one by one and that the logo is getting brighter.
The things of interest I see is the "." added, likely representing Midori and that from 0.7 to 0.8, none of the sisters dissapeared but a petal does lose it's color leaving 3 left, staying the same when Riku disappears from 0.8 to 0.9
I think the logo getting brighter is just a fancy way of saying "The show is coming y'all" but I wonder if the petal numbering means something or it's just a simple mistake. Just considering the possibility of it being on purpose because of Riku's weird mid-show appearance despise being considered dead.
Well, in the end it's doing the same job as the ED unless I'm missing something.

Ryou, Riku, and Ryoku were resurrected by ??? who had merged with the red tree to accomplish their mission on her own and are now working with her to ensure the complete purification of the world so humanity can resettle upon the surface, as the other color kemurikusa are responsible for the pollution of the skies to begin with. I don't really want the sisters to beat the shit out of each other, but I kind of do as well, but at the end of the day I'd be happy if no one turned to the other side.

Don't know what you mean by frame number but if you want more details
0.5 and 0.6 the logo disappears instantly, screen turns black right before the video ends, remains the same opacity through.
0.7 the logo disappears with a slow fade in, little bit of dialogue while it's fading, I took the screenshot from before it starts fading.
0.8 logo disappears instantly as well
0.9 logo appears from within the smoke and then it disappears instantly as screen turns black

First short just ends with "はじまり" (Start, beggining etc etc)
Interesting how the only short where the logo fades is the Rina short since it's the only one that doesn't lead to a sister disappearing on the next one.
But at this point it really do feel like thinking this detail standing out is overthinking

By the way, I'd like for you to look at this scene. Looking carefully, you can see that something akin to a white robe and photograph (or book/ID card) is on the ground. White robes bring to mind researchers, and the two who would match that description the most is these two characters. They appeared at the start of the doujin version of Kemurikusa in a flashback with the line "Why can't I remember?", and do not appear elsewhere. The owner of the white robe probably stopped at Nana-shima for some reason. Midori has withered, and he is no longer around.

From here, the speculation begins. He is the original version of Wakaba, and he fused with the previous Midori at Nana-shima in order to stop the encroaching red fog. The woman is the original form of all the Rins, named "Rin" in kanji. In order to help the man out, she split herself into multiple people formed by the kemurikusa at Ichi-shima. Since we don't know the motivations behind the First Person, it's hard to tell how accurate this is... Even though their forms have changes and they've lost their memories, they're still attracted to each other, which is pretty romantic...

Things were different in the shorts when the crew was still mostly together.
The common theme was that every one of the sisters has found something she likes and focused on that besides Rin who's priority was always the well being of others even at the expense of her own.

It's also importannt to note that none of the sisters except Rin describe any of the Kemurikusa or the fog by color. Riku describes Kemurikusa by touch since thst's her most riable sense and the Rinas describe everything by taste since it's the sense they use the most, etc. Those aren't just their favorite senses, but it's the only sense that isn't dulled or hampered.

She had interest in seeing new places but I think that was just a normal interest rather than the thing that she loves, to the point sparkles come out.

It's unironically a very high level show. It won't appeal to people who are new or even intermediate to anime.

I'm not entirely sure nor am I sure that it even matters on what number they are. It's an interesting thing to think about, either way, and probably something I'll keep in the back of my mind while watching. If the next episode kills off a few of them, it'll definitely narrow it down.

She's a interesting tsun because she doesn't know what love is, so rather than trying to hide her feelings in a wall of mixed signals, she just doesn't understand them and doesn't know how to act. The tsun comes from not trusting someone outside her circle of sisters.

Would you say Tatsuki mismanaged his fanbase by making KK first? I'm not complaining because i personally loved it, but i still remember how much shit came in the first threads from (Supossedly) KF fans.

Well honestly I wasn't too impressed with the first few episodes (mainly due to Wakaba) but the series has slowly come into its own. I mean it's no KF but I never expected it to be and I can enjoy it on its own merits.

KF2 made the massive mistake of messing with the original series in the worst way possible and I was (sort of) enjoying it until that part.

Bringing back Kaban was that bad?
I'm not currently watching the show btw.

They were basically strangers to each other the entire episode (Kaban remembers but probably has PTSD)
She has a whole drawer of Lucky Beast watches, we don't know what happened to S1 Lucky
The main cast leaves her behind at the end of the episode, she probably won't show up again until the end
