Last time, Kanade and Sakura had their showdown with both dancing Aurora. However in the end the winner wound up not mattering when Sakura admitted defeat because she found watching Kanade too enjoyable leading Ema to observe that Kanade had "tamed" her. Sakura admitted that she's started caring more about getting positive reactions from the audiences than competitions as she prepares to leave to study ballet abroad for a year. At the same time, inspired by both Sakura and Kanade, Ema seems to have found her own resolve, taking note of her own weaknesses as she solidifies her goal to receive validation as a dancer by winning a prize at the YAGP.
This time, we start volume 7 with a little bit more of a low key chapter. The YAGP preliminaries are only a few months a way and as training ramps up we'll be introduced (and re-introduced) to some new characters.
For whatever reason I'm having trouble remembering if this teacher's showed up previously and I don't think he's named for a while, if at all, but he's low key a pretty cool dude.
So with only a few months left, Kanade's getting fired up.
That's all for this chapter. Next time Kanade, like she said, pays a visit to the kyuudo club. We'll see Kanade at her geekiest and one of my favorite tertiary characters as a result.
