Zarc was just a big dragon, so he's the weakest of the other final bosses (Zorc being an invincible god with power over time and souls, Darkness banishing the entire world's population to another world, Z-One having power over time, and Don Thousand being a world-destroying reality warping god) in terms of actual power. Further, his deck strategy is to simply sit on Zarc and try to ignore everything his opponent does. Bakura's mill strategy could kill him, but it's unlikely he'd survive long enough for that. Darkness doesn't have much of a way to beat him either. But Z-One and Don Thousand shouldn't have much trouble with him.

Nas may pretend the anime is made in it's own separate bubble from the industry, but it's not. It's stupid to ignore actual probabilities even if they're rough, and be ignorant.
Compared to the time zexal started production, even the big and reputable studios in recent years have had trouble finding enough competent key animators for each project due to the notable increase of anime made each season. The use of cgi is still either niche like polygon pictures anime or only used for vehicles and such, which doesnt help alleviate the problems much.
And because animators are still people in the end, why should the good ones feel attracted to working on a cheap weekly children's commercial and sell 3 years of their life? That's a pretty big deterrent to attracting more talent to work on the show. The producers and/or director has to have an amazing network or be insanely charismatic as a person (like super cult leader level) to pull off another zexal tier production. Yugioh anime has only continued to bleed its animation talent since zexal.

Yes, Superheavy Samurai decks do not play any spells besides Sekka's Light, Galaxy Cyclone, Breakthrough Skill, or the occasional meme build with Berserker Soul, basically.

Because they're genuine trash. The entirety of Xyz and Fusion arc was shit, the "final" boss battle against Zarc was terrible and making the last arc about making a baby smile with a series of bad duels was a mistake. The only decent things to come from that was the last duel against Dennis and the moment when Super Ultra Hyper Strong Duelist Sawatari almost beat Zarc.
They still cared for one another just like Aoi and Akira do.
