Attention /trek/ posters!

PRIME DIRECTIVE: /trek/ is the Star Trek GENERAL thread on Yea Forums - Television & Film. You may post about ANY official Star Trek content that is Yea Forums related (i.e., live-action content). Conversations pertaining to set and prop design, visual effects, and sound are welcome as long as they remain on-topic in relation to their respective shows or movies (more on that in GENERAL ORDER THREE).

GENERAL ORDER TWO: If you wish to discuss animated content (e.g., The Animated Series, Lower Decks, Prodigy) proceed to Yea Forums - Comics & Cartoons and make a thread for the show you wish to discuss, or participate in a pre-existing one. From now on, failure to adhere to this rule will be met with extreme prejudice due to previous abuse. Reporting off-topic content is encouraged.

GENERAL ORDER THREE: Other Star Trek content, relating to Yea Forums - Video Games (e.g., Star Trek Online) or /tg/ - Traditional Games (e.g., Star Trek Adventures) should be discussed on their respective boards.

GENERAL ORDER FOUR: The television programs known as "Enterprise," "Discovery," "Picard," and "Strange New Worlds" can be discussed in /trek/, but they are not part of the main line Star Trek continuity.

GENERAL ORDER FIVE: While the use of a username and a tripcode is not strictly forbidden, you should refrain from using them in /trek/ if you wish to avoid targeted harassment. Anonymity is an integral aspect of Yea Forums's unique culture, and attempts to create a persona are generally frowned upon. Furthermore, the use of avatars--images that become a user's signature--is against the board rules, and should be reported as such.

GENRAL ORDER SIX: Respect board rules; they are here for a reason. Contrary to popular belief, Yea Forums is not lawless, and users are still expected to follow a certain set of guidelines. Reporting content that violates the rules is your absolute obligation as a /trek/ poster, as it ensures the continuing quality and integrity of Star Trek discussion on Yea Forums.

This one can stay.

Who would win, Kirk or Solo?

PRIME DIRECTIVE: /trek/ is the Star Trek GENERAL thread on Yea Forums. You may post about ANY official or fan-made Star Trek show, movie, or short film. If you aren't comfortable with a thread where people discuss the ENTIRETY of Star Trek then this GENERAL thread is not for you. Feel free to make your own specific-topic Star Trek thread instead. New thread creation at 310 posts.

GENERAL ORDER TWO: Typically, all images posted in /trek/ must be Star Trek themed.

GENERAL ORDER THREE: The television program known as "Enterprise" is an in-universe holonovel like Captain Proton or Photons Be Free. Feel free to discuss it, but be aware that it is a "show-within-a-show" and does not necessarily reflect "real" events within the Star Trek multiverse.

GENERAL ORDER FOUR: If you suffer from a serious mental disorder such as paranoid schizophrenia or autism, please obtain your caregiver's permission prior to posting in /trek/.

Kirk is an expert at all forms of combat. Solo is just a smuggler with a few tricks up his sleeve. Kirk would BTFO Solo and it wouldn't be close.

I'm the only person left in the world who actually understands Spock's character.

Replace the bongs with pretty women, but Gemma can stay.

No you're not. I also understand Spock [Family Name Unpronounceable].

Holy shit that’s fucking annoying

I think that's the point.

Trans woman Jazz Jennings joins the cast of Star Trek Prodigy, reality show star stated that she’s a Star Trek fan as a young child.
Jazz spoke at the CBS Kids’ panel for the recent Star Trek Beyond event at Comic-Con International in San Diego. Afterward, Star Trek Prodigy’s producer Jeri Lee stopped by her and posed the question of what made her want to join the new reality show.
“I like Star Trek,” she said in response, “and I liked the one with the captain who was black… and she was a woman.”
Jazz wasn’t sure if it would be safe for her to reveal that her favorite captain had been Uhura.
“She was the first one I remember watching on TV.”
Prodigy will be the first television reality show about trans people since Logo’s Emmy award-winning Transparent.
I always believed that he would do a rebooted series starring a transgender person. I really love all of his new shows. I am looking forward to seeing what happens in the future! Good for you Jazz, I’m sure all of us will be proud to see a trans woman on one of our favorite television shows! :)
Jazz really does love Star Trek. Her mother sent her a few episodes while she was getting surgery, I just had a feeling she would love it. I’m glad she will be part of it.
"I watched those shows. They were the first “mainstream” shows to show a female character who didn’t come off as over-sexualized, in a positive light. They were so ahead of their time." They are much less sexualized than anything that came after, such as Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Even today there are a lot of shows on TV that portray trans characters negatively. We’ve come a long way from those early days.

TREK GEEZER GENERAL ORDER FOUR THOUSAND: Ja, that's right. It was a bad time for some, but for others, this time of change and growth brings about new opportunities. So let's welcome our new general, who has already started doing some great things. General Geezler is your new general manager and CEO. The world is his oyster. I've been informed that he's also started a new company in the new economy, called The Geezer Network. No joke. That's right, the Geezer Network. The Geezer Network is a website, an app and a company that will change the way we look at everything. You see, it's not all about big hair and stupid jokes. It's about a better world, a better product and a better experience. If that's not good enough, then we will give you your money back. All I ask is that you watch some of the sites and apps he's produced. Now, what can you expect from a site, you ask?

She cute

What is her endgame? Is it just as a wife and mother to herself? It seems that her actions have all been carefully calculated to get what she wants and that her motivations are nothing more than selfish.

I also think the "I don't feel like doing it" doesn't really ring true... the fact that she would choose such a time, when in a relationship with someone else, just to say she wasn't up to it is telling.

She was upset about the baby's death and the husband took a lot of abuse. The mother of his children was a liar, too, so they divorced. She's had a few other boyfriends and she's been with his brother... this isn't a woman who has had her heart broken at all. She seems to be using this baby as a way to get revenge.

I don't think that you have to be a serial killer to kill someone who is a threat.

Autism in all but the most extreme (and rare) cases is not a "serious mental disorder."

The ultimate goal for the geezers is to destroy /trek/. They think if they shit up enough threads, mods will kill /trek/. That's obviously not going to happen but that's the goal. It's absolute derangement over Paramount+ Trek, which has broken them.

I suspected as much

They don't. /trek/ was never about Star Trek discussion for them. It was a social club for weirdo /pol/ rejects.

The new P+ Trek shows coming out and, after a slow start, some of them actually being good... that made people want to talk about Star Trek in /trek/ and that mind-broke the geezers. Very much like Trump Derangement Syndrome and Qanon insanity.

The ultimate goal for the geezers is to destroy /trek/. They think if they shit up enough threads, mods will kill /trek/. That's obviously not going to happen but that's the goal. It's absolute derangement over Paramount+ Trek, which has broken them.
