Twilight

Why didn't Yea Forums tell me how good these movies are?

you just know

Why does she always look disgusted?

know what?

>ywn be bros with Robert Pattinson
>ywn fuck Kristen Stewart
Suffering.

The vampires make no sense.

>Run so fast friction somehow vanishes
>Drive cars so well stop lights just poof
>Fire is the only thing that rapidly hurts them, but they can't grow hair back- but somehow still not terrified of fucking pocket lighters because of this
>the transformation/venom is so painful it is likened to being on fire for 3 days except 10x worse- and somehow you don't develop PTSD from this unrealistic agony
>vampires are explicitly stated not to be able to change in any way (even mentally) - and yet Edward is capable of producing vamp-sperm
>Vampires are so smart they can translate a language on a whim in like a fucking minute, or play 4d chess

Meyers is weird. She has weird assumptions.

It's magic

>vampires are explicitly stated not to be able to change in any way (even mentally)
Wait what?
That would imply they can't fall in love.

Magic is just physics we don't understand.

>movies promote white girl/white guy having a traditional family

No wonder (((they))) tried so hard to shit on these movies

It's why vampire children are banned by the Volturi. They will never 'grow up'. This is also weird since this is not at all how the psyche works/develops. It's like something is forcing them into a template of a personality to the detriment of acquired information in the long-run.

Whatever. Again, Meyers is weird.

Your IQ is 85 at best. Go watch Rick & Morty

Surprisingly insightful, user

Are you being ironic on purpose.

I guarantee you can't solve a basic physics equation and get your "science knowledge" watching clips of popsci on youtube

sorry I just mean that I'm trans and that you should know that.

That's a lot of projection, user.

I only watched the first movie and it was ok considering its basically a dumb fantasy romance for teenage girls, it was also very comfy. Are the others worth watching at least for that late 2000s comfy feel?

They're very comfy. I'm on the 3rd movie right now.

>MAAAN I LOVE TWILIGHT AND NICKLEBACK AND JUSTIN BIEBER HAH I’M NOT LIKE THOSE BOOMERS
So weird

It's not hard (for some) to acknowledge that computers are magic.

user, if it exists, it has to be first be present. If it exists, it is natural. I don't care how surreal the 'magic' is - there is something present, objective, allowing it to occur.

Nothing is truly supernatural. The supernatural is just the unfamiliar. What is 'magic' to one is not magic to another. A cell-phone is going to be magic to the caveman who doesn't *get* what went into it. He is unexposed.

is this series still hated tho?
i feel like zoomers dont give a fuck about this and all the jaded millennials who hated this moved on already

No, it was all a jewish psyop
See

i thought the hates were a meme

HOW DID WE GET HEEEERE
WHEN I UUSEEEED TO KNOOOW SOOO WELLLLLL

computers are not magic

"supernatural" is that which doesn't obey the laws of reality. that's what it means. that's what magic is. muh dungeons & dragons systematized manipulation of natural forces isn't "magic", that's video game mechanics

>It's not hard (for some) to acknowledge that computers are magic.
very true

>computers are not magic
Yes, they bloody are, to the caveman who only had one hour to talk to the time-traveler.

>"supernatural" is that which doesn't obey the laws of reality.
That makes no sense. If it exists, it's not supernatural. Nothing supersedes the natural. It is just existence as it is. This isn't hard.

> that's what magic is.
Magic is whatever you make it, you sorry sod. It is nothing.

based

I understand all that you're saying and agree and I genuinely wish that people who write supernatural stories actually make the effort to describe the laws and mechanisms that would make them "natural". But they never do, they continue with only the surface-level presentation of the magic which leaves it entirely within the realm of supernatural horseshit that isn't explained and they make ass-pulls for when they need the magic to be more than what they establish it to be or just outright break what few rules they do describe.

Alice a cute

I like how comfy they are. They're pretty, but the writing isn't very good, at least in the movies. The vampires are contradictory, and the conflict/resolution with the Voltori makes no sense.

It is a genuine problem, yeah. It's all just surface paint to these people.

>supernatural horseshit
Some of us happen to like supernatural horseshit and don't care about wasted paragraphs of pseudoscientific explanation that almost definitely won't hold up to scrutiny. The real issue is when writers don't maintain internal consistency.

she's looking at you

These movies did not deserve the hate they got. It's harmless fun.

very true

I hope you realize physics still contains mystery and bewilders physicists today. Start there.

See

Take me back

>Start there.
How 'bout no.
Nevermind the fact that your personal preferences don't dictate what or how everyone else should write, what you're asking is for anyone writing urban fantasy to have a deep enough understanding of modern science to not only know what is and isn't presently understood about reality but also how to adapt what they're writing within that framework in a believable manner. And if that is your genuine expectation, then you're massively underestimating the undertaking that is. Not to mention that when the author inevitably fucks up, the described impossibilities within that story will become more immersion breaking than if the author had just written a somewhat vague magic system with a defined ruleset and well held consistency.

This from the man defending the blatant pseud. Peak ironing.

>renesmee
this was the peak of western civilization by the way
our alien-han chinese overlords will reminisce of renesmee when their genetic problems become insurmountable

That wasn't me.

(((They))) hate the female and male fantasies. Women got shit on for wanting a protective white bf, a big family and children as "harmful". They shat on jupiter rising for being a harmless white female fantasy too.

>ywn have a perma-loli, vampire, qt3.14 gf.

You sound so retarded right now and it kills me (as in, it's a lot funnier) that you don't understand *why*.

Vampiya baybey

>Fire is the only thing that rapidly hurts them, but they can't grow hair back- but somehow still not terrified of fucking pocket lighters because of this
I don't remember the hair thing, was that a thing? So are all vampire haircuts permanent? I don't remember these movies very well, just watched them because my gf wanted to at the time.

You didn't post your own image? Wow. Neat

(you)

>So are all vampire haircuts permanent?
Yes. That's why Alice has such short hair. She was in a mental institution. She had to make do.

So they all have 19th century bushes? Noice

Until they get burned, yes. And then its a partially burnt bush, forever.

The muffin man

first one is ok as it actually has a story
rest are shit and cringey (in a bad way)

>Renesmee (pronounced Ruh-nez-may) Carlie Cullen was born on September 11, 2006
>September 11
wtf why?

mostly boring except for the last movie which is like some weird ultra-violent comedy with some great overacting from Michael Sheen

>watch last movie with then gf (now wife)
>niggas getting there necks snapped and ripped off
>giant dogs being fucking murdered
