The crime was its foul existence.
The sentence is death

>will be the last. What went wrong?
Source? I hope it's true

It's not going to last because the show is actually a documentary and Picard is made up of assorted robotic parts but also gets hit by cars.

Can anyone find the old interview where they say it's a 5 season plan?
Would be funny to post when the final ep airs

I have no idea what they thoguht the premise should be.

I enjoyed the season, Jurati was killing it for me, how fuck they messed her Queen design up so badly is beyond me, real potential wasted.

There's like 10 plots and all of them would make nice episodes, movies, or two parters. Instead they do all of them for 10 eps with little focus.

I think the entire show should have been Picard on the Stargazer and they go on adventures.

ITT we predict how bad the fuck the rest of the TNG crew in Season 3.

>Beverly Crusher
>Was always in love with Picard (of course, as this would please Patrick Stewart's ego)
>When she first became pregnant with Wesley, she considered abortion, has been living with that guilt ever since (topical, guaranteed to please the butch pro-life bulldykes)

>old trek
>techno babble
>new trek
>emo babble
don't steal my new scathing buzzword please.

I thought it was always planned for 3 seasons? Mostly because they didn't want to dedicate more due to the chance of Stewart keeling over or just being unable to continue. He's already admitted that simple on set stuff like dry ice causes him issues.

>>Was always in love with Picard (of course, as this would please Patrick Stewart's ego)

Picard is hooked up with this half his age Romulan house-maid. A character made up for the show that he has no connection to. Beverley was always the best option for him.

>When she first became pregnant with Wesley, she considered abortion, has been living with that guilt ever since (topical, guaranteed to please the butch pro-life bulldykes)

Can we call Wesley in-canon a failed abortion?

three seasons too many

>Picard is hooked up with this half his age Romulan house-maid.
Hear me out user: LOVE TRIANGLE!!!!!

riveting stuff

So Wesley supposedly became a time-god or something since we last saw him? You'd think somewhere in the like 5 movies she'd mention that.

>Wesley's vanished and no one can find him. I'm worried Picard!

>What went wrong?

everything.

Patrick Stewart is directly responsible for this and it's retroactively ruined TNG.

not because of the plot, but knowing how retarded the guy playing picard actually is. He sounds so smart because he's british.

>Picard's friends get kidnapped by ICE in the year 2022
>the Borg joins the federation by being offered friendship for the first time
>Picards mom killed herself
>Seven and her lesbian lover fight and get in a car chase with the LAPD, followed by them killing a dozen armed men with ice picks
>Q sends 80 year old Brent Spiner to hit Patrick Stewart with a car
>picards ancestor can't go to Jupiter because she is depressed and she is the only hope for Earth
>Guinan is a girlboss in 2022 and holds a gun to an 80 year old man's head because she doesn't recognize him
Yes user, lots of potential here

coined and minted, been there coined that.

too late user I'm going to co-opt it just so you have someone to point at and blame when other people start using it
you should thank me

Riker will be treated as the muscle and physically fight people along with Work, despite their elderly age.
Who will they fight? They teased Khan at the end. However I could also see him fist fighting Lore

Second season was waaay to far up it's own arse.

>Guinan works in different bars for millennia.

>Retire/Kill off Patrick Stewart’s character because he’s too old
>Bring him back ten years older still
>Just to retire him/kill him off again ASAP, as a gag even

Why does he put up with this crap

dude the first season ends with him being fucking space jesus.

Makes it seem like Guinan is some sort of alcoholic. I always assumed the Enterprise job was her retiring after doing great things

he's an executive producer on the show user. he didn't agree to do it unless they did exactly what he wanted.

>>Seven and her lesbian lover

We're seeing feminist writing here. 7 was always a top tier scientist, as being borg gave her that scientific edge. She had trouble with emotions. She was like borg Spock in that regard. Many book continuities have her working in the Daystrum Institute. You'd think a story with Robotics would have incorporated her in that regard right? Now we have the male captain unceremoniously killed OFF SCREEN, entirely so that Seven can become a captain. Someone who has never really had a command position, and I'm not even sure if she is even a starfleet officer.

Smart scientist lady becomes screaming queer woman firing guns. It's YAS SLAY SQUEEN writing.

Q, a higher dimensional being outside time and space, immortal with near omnipotence and omniscience, also fucking dies of old age.

Can you imagine being able to live for hundred of years and you spend them pouring alcohol to strangers and mopping vomit off the floor?

That's the level of depth the writers on Picard gave Guinan.

>>When she first became pregnant with Wesley, she considered abortion,
This is spot on for the pointless Current Year issue injection. Whatever space age medicine they have regarding reproduction will not be considered even once. Somehow there are abortion rights problems in TNGs era. How about they find a pod in space, defrost it and it's a MAGA hat wearing Republican christian who tells her to her face she's a whore and murderer for abortion Wesley's brother.

That's the subtle political commentary I've come to enjoy in Trek.

>What went wrong?
Patrick Stewarts aids ridden body wont last until season 4.

>Makes it seem like Guinan is some sort of alcoholic. I always assumed the Enterprise job was her retiring after doing great things

Like in RoboCop there's an entire executive board and a bunch of junior executives. This is an entirely realistic and believable setup to a real company. Johnson was the only one who got any focus out of the board, so Johnson ends up being the only executive shown in 2-3.

Is there a name for this phenomenon in lazy writing? They just half-remember what was most notable, but forget the context. Yes, I assumed Guinan was running around the galaxy. Do they know she's not from Earth? She was only in the 19th century flashback ep because she was running from her father.

>That's the subtle political commentary I've come to enjoy in Trek.
Isn't that depressing? I kind of miss the pointless action from the TNG movies. As out of brand as that was, it was better than the woke shit they keep shoving down our throats with these new shows.

At the exact same time Picard is about to. What a coincidence. No mention of his recent child

I haven't watched a single episode of this, Discovery, or any of these other nu-Trek spinoff shows. Their mere existence offends me.

>How about they find a pod in space, defrost it and it's a MAGA hat wearing Republican christian who tells her to her face she's a whore and murderer for abortion Wesley's brother.

They sorta did that in TNG season 2, and even that is meant to be ham-fisted somewhat. The business guy is all about making deals and making money, so he initially buts heads with the crew. Then at the end, he's shown to be an expert at negotiation with the Romulans, showing that he has some traits that would serve him well in this time period. The ep is meant to be a critique of 80's capitalist guys, but even then it ends up showing that they have some positive traits.

I imagine the guy went on to the Starfleet diplomacy core.

He had a cameo as a gold shirt lieutenant in Nemesis. Might be referenced since the Kurtzman timeline seems to only care about the movies (if that)

Which is fine, but it is now at odds that he went off with the Traveler to be a time-god. Honestly that entire plotline was so lame as hell and all the GOOD Wesley episodes were just as him as a regular kid not as a super genius or super god.

>Riker will be treated as the muscle and physically fight people along with Work
We already saw that in every TNG movie. We need something more current year.

Riker is accused of sexual harassment. Battery of a young cadet even. Yeah, thats it.

>What went wrong?
You really have to ask?

Attached: Trek.jpg (1280x720, 180.53K)

Babe, new plot thread just dropped.

Attached: 1652106341552.png (588x441, 211.79K)

Jonathan Frakes wouldn't come back if they did that. However, they already saddled Riker and Troi with needless PAIN AND SUFFERING with an off-screen teenage son who died of some illness. My god, can't characters just walk off into the sunset and reitre in hapiness until they die?

Riker-Troi's son would be a fine character to show up in modern trek but only as an unimportant side character for a single ep. Not as some CHOSEN ONE or some shit like most writers want to do.

kurtzman or whatever that fucking cunts name is

Every episode being based on ludicrous past episodes. Like a snowball going down a snowy steep hill, the bullshit narrative and illogical plot devices built up and up until it smashed into pieces with friendly Borg Queen with terrible CGI face. Lazy writers hoping you’ll just turn your brain off bro.

>In this case, what the story reveals to us is that Q, in his dying moments, wanted to let Picard know that his mother’s death wasn’t his fault. (Why is Q dying? Of what? It’s never explained.) And that the first step to Picard finding love was for him to love himself. It’s a wonderful lesson, except, as Picard points out, there were innocent people who died along the way for a life lesson.

>Not that Q cares. And neither does Picard, it turns out, because Picard gives his soon-to-be-deceased tormentor a hug.

what the fuck

Attached: 201923323.jpg (454x454, 41.93K)

Mike mentioned in the last re:view that casuals all think the Borg to be the most dangerous foe of TNG, if the Borg isn't then who is? The Romulans?

Why would there be a need for abortions in Star Trek? Ah who am I kidding they would totally write a story involving that for nu Trek.

>friendly Borg Queen

I'm still not clear if this is some faction or the ENTIRE Borg. If they were always like this then how does it explain everything? Or did all of borg history change?

God damn feminist writing is such garbage. All the female villains have to be tragic and misunderstood, or not actually that bad. "Queer coding" all over the Jurati-Queen relationship too.

>Everyone is a lesbian because women dont' need men!

>(Why is Q dying? Of what? It’s never explained.)

This would be a great premise for a two-parter send off. Entirely wasted. I can totally imagine A Q somehow getting something that would kill them, or being sentenced to death by other Q for his shenanigans.

It was terrible that’s what went wrong

rick berman

LMAO

It's just that when people think TNG they think "Borg". Meanwhile they were major threats in a few episodes, and two sets of two-parters. The last one was not even normal Borg but some off-shoots who got rejected by the collective for forming personalities. It was the retard Borg Brigade. Then the most popular and well received film was Borg focused.

However, in terms of screen time Cardassians and Romulans are in more episodes. They were just not as memorable.

So..........Brent Spiner is coming back as Data for Season 3 or another fucking Soong?

I love how the lesbo couple fight and hate each other the entire time and certainly never have sex. 100% accurate writing for dykes.

they have a spare data in the form of B4 from star trek nemesis, should they choose to go the android route

WHAT IS IT WITH RICKS?!

Why did the Lady Gary Seven in 2024 have the same actress as Picard's Romulan housemaid? What was the story reason? Did they do this just because the actress had some sort of contract that guaranteed her being in several episodes? Why did they write such a retarded contract and fulfill it in such a stupid way with no given explanation?! It's driving me crazy!

He's going to be Andy "Anchovy" Soong, a nephew of Data's dad, who makes android animals. Literally not even kidding. He will get in conflict with the 1701-F crew (which will be the TNG crew plus Seven as Captain and Picard as "Visiting Admiral") over a plan to eliminate all biological life in the universe and replace them with little robot animals who never fight or anything.

This is literally what goldenrod-version script says right now. Don't ask me how I know.

>they have a spare data in the form of B4 from star trek nemesis
jfc

Attached: picard dies.webm (1200x804, 2.1M)

No reason is ever given, just that she is a distant ancestor. That's literally it. And they aren't going to follow it up since the actress isn't in season 3.

Maybe for these writers they want to promote altruism. That the Borg only assimilate terminal illness people, ones that modern science can’t help, so Queen Jurati “saves” them by offering an infinite collective life.

“Resistance to fatal disease is futile. Would you like to subscribe to Assimilation Weekly user? Current offer is 30 days Borg and if you’re not entirely happy you can be returned to your previous state.”

Reminder that by posting in this thread, you've probably put in more effort into this show than the writers did.

That's not really a spare though, he became Data after real Data died but has his memories or whatever.

it was always a 3 season project. no more. no less

W1: So what are we going to do with Kore?
W2: We haven’t referenced the boy from Next Gen, have we.
W1: Can’t remember. I’ll look on Wiki and see if he’s alive and we can pair them up.
W2: Perfect, the fans will love that.

I bet he will build Guinan a new bar.

She was only in so many shots, they could have taken all the fat out of her face with VFX or something

They showed Ukraine stuff too. No plot continuity here at all! The scenes from Earth are shown much later in the episode.

Attached: Strange New Worlds.png (1280x533, 519.58K)

You guys didn't watch Picard. he was in the last episode so we know his fate. He's one of the overseers to the Gary 7 type people and tries to keep reality/time intact. He's not a god at all.
