If you weren't a newfag you would know that the Yea Forums "culture" was always about shit they themselves helped to normalize, it took them nearly 10 years but it happened, Yea Forums didn't became stale or was downgraded, the other websites simply evolved and caught up with Yea Forums.
If you don't believe me, you should know that back on the early 2000s Yea Forums loved trannies (they still somewhat do) they used to call them irl traps, a lot of people who were there are in denial that "traps" simply got normalized into trannies but the reality is that both are the same.

I would make a Supes movie based in the 50s or so, have him explore his powers against the backdrop of boomer americana and be the pure hearted all a merican boy scout then if it goes well make him the catalyst for all capes going forward and expand it out, have batman introduced in the 80s etc eventually having the JL in the late 90s in universe

similarly I would handle the X-Men generationally and make an
anthology of decades, where actors age up and out of the series or become the teachers in the school for the next gen

This might be cool if they come up with enough material for it and would lend more weight to Superman being the last kryptonian.

As for the Superman film itself, tone Superman's power level down, give him strength comparable to a terminator. He can be slightly slowed by certain weapons and hurt by others. If he crashes through enough buildings he'll get hurt and won't be able to fight as good. This gives his fights some tension. Do a quick montage of the growing up stuff. The first villain is Lex Luthor and emulate the Donner films. You can do some interesting stuff with the modern day with how cynical we are now, the anxiety from COVID, inflation and current state of America and how Superman is a throwback to a simpler, happier and optimistic time.

Orpheus going into hell to get his wife back but instead it’s superman going into phantom zone to get Lois after Lex sends her there because he knows it’s the only way to get rid of supes. Once there you get some fanservice where he runs into the dudes from superman 3 but they’re like crazy cause they’ve been there for forever and superman gets to have an all out full powered fight with them since he doesn’t have to worry about destroying anything there. Eventually the battle gets so insane that it temporarily rips a whole between dimensions so that superman and lois can escape, getting back just in time to stop lex from whatever crazy shit he had planned for once superman was out of the picture.

Unironically I would take a page out of Smallville and Birthright. I would make the central conflict between Lex and Clark tie back to their past friendship in Smallville. Casting would be really important cause it all hang on the relationship between Lex and Clark, going from friends to enemies. Maybe have Brainiac show up in favor of the faux Kryptonian invasion from Birthright. Have Lex figure out Superman's identity and make it so he is seriously conflicted about it. I think this would be the way to go.

Animation is hard work, cell painting is meticulous and laborious and takes time.
Studios would rather make films easier and cheaper and the public doesn't care.
The interesting thing is that, as the japs prove, you can make use of the improved technology to make great looking shit on a budget more limited than before, that's why you have good looking anime that lacks a film size budget, but since we live in the age fo consoom in the west the end result is just mediocrity
