No I think its actually oddly clever she doesnt really give that much of a shit about Vision.
Yeah she uses his death as justifications for her actions but through exposure to the Dark Hold and from her own madness the obsession she has is the children she wants, the family she had a taste of and ants to make real. She secretly wants her cake and to eat it despite her claims otherwise.
And seeing all these weaker Wandas having what she has only drives her fury and corruption further and further.
I think the movie is kino, especially with the parallel of Strange resisting temptation and learning to not be so much of a glory hogging masochist.
The What If episodes with Strange in actually add quite a lot to this movie. Arguably moreso than Wandavision.

Probably some and they were trying to play to some of his strengths with the horror stuff. If he even is allowed to direct another MCU movie, they will mostly definitely tell him to knock it off and just direct a more conventional Marvel movie. Taika and Gunn were given more control it seems, might be the opposite with Zhao and Raimi, if they even get another gig.

The movie is clearly marketed as some huge event like NWH. If it has poor word on the street, it might end up being pretty front loaded which isn’t good.

He had enough control to do what he's known for, for better or worse, but the main problem with the movie for me was the plot and characters. And my biggest issue was that they shoehorned and wasted Black Bolt, Reed Richards and Charles Xavier, they killed these characters interest in the eyes of the general audience, they shouldn't have introduced new characters and have them get killed off so pathetically
