The 00's had some great Hellenickinos like Troy (although butchered) and 300 (although mostly a comic film) and Alexander (although too short). There are many more ancient wars that can be covered like the Peloponnesian War, the Anabasis of the 10000, or the Greco-Indian and Bactrian kingdoms or the Diadochi Wars for example. And that's without even touching the myths and legends.
But as that user said, I wouldn't like modern Hollywood touching anything about Ancient Greece or even older. Let them go after the Romans.
