Literally 0 HYPE

what went wrong marvelsisters

Is that true? Wouldn't surprise me, considering what came before it

MoM is Marvel in peak "banging action figures together" mode. No Way Home was charming as a tribute to Spider-Man's history in live action cinema, MoM is the MCU at its most self congratulatory and its most unambitious.

>"banging action figures together"
holy shit lmao

They are marvel movies, what else are they supposed to be?

They released like 10 million teaser for this no wonder why...i hope thor love and thunder isnt the same because it will literally kill the hype

i know everyone wanted to see this for tugboat but honestly i enjoyed Alfred Molina more. he slipped right back into that role like he'd never left. a consummate actor.
Dafoe was similarly good but for some reason his scenes never jelled for me.

story was generic MCU but it oozed Raimi's style so it was a lot of fun

Strange is a weak main character and normies dont care about him
Wanda is also weak dogshit antagonist character that was already
Inherently retarded premise that would have been much better if executed as a straight up Raimi action comedy, but trying to make it have serious epic tone reads like fanfiction written by an autistic 14 year old

>that was already
fully explored in wandavision. what i meant to say

its an amazing subliminal because it is released mothers day weekend

the multiverse part was wasted on cheap cameos it was just about wanda starting her menopause

>introduce multiverse bullshit in loki and spiderman
>endless possibilities
>you can have a RDJ fanservice cameo, deadpool, introduce the xmen universe, having fun with a terrence howard or edward norton cameo, bring back tobey again, connect the sony venom/morbius universe with the mcu, and most importantly introduce the new big multiversal/intergalactic threat for the next phase
>end up with a small illuminati cameo who all get killed
>movie basically wraps up all the multiverse crap after that
So…now what?

It most certainly did not start this way. They kept trying to make each movie it's own story, but Avengers shit makes too much money. Now they need to have an epic crossover every 6 months, as though that doesn't suck all the fun out of it.

No ironman no buy

the multiverse isn't wrapped up, user

Next dr strange movir will probably have some multiversal war, post credit scene reveals that strange / wanda caused an incursion in the multiverse and they gotta fix it.

I think thor love and thunder will have a post credit scene with kang / more multiverse shenanigans to set up the next big bad threat.

I just watched the cam version, and had to look up the post credits scene
What Bruce Campbell said at the second post credit scene is what I think of the MCU now, it's like Raimi did it on purpose to completely trash the MCU and the fact that phase 4 was so weak, aside from the death blow that was NWH, helped his cause

Holy fuck, was this movie just a fuck you to the audience?

i've heard nothing but bad/mediocre things about this movie and it will still probably do well because of marvel drones.

It seems people wanted formula action flick #17 instead of an interesting and refreshing new approach. Remember how older MCU movies were all different? Iron Man sci-fi, Cap 2 political thriller, Thor heavy, GotG an opera etc. Strange has the perfect setting for horror, and they did well. Guess people don't like changes.

Pure kino.

People said that would happen in this movie. We are already 6 movies in, after endgame (8 if you count venom 2 and morbius) and 6 shows, and its still going nowhere.

Heard the same so I didn't watch it in theaters and it was actually great. I regret not having gone to the cinema. Don't trust people here or on review sites.

It's projected to have 400 million WW opening, so I don't really see anything going wrong.

Are you telling me they DIDN'T put a RDJ closure cameo with spiderman in that?
Holy shit its over

For me, its Iron Man 2

>it was actually great.
loving every laugh

Put Cap 2 in S, Thor in B, Ragnarok in C, and I agree with this.

>Spider-Man 2 in S

A boomer made this.

If it opens really big the drop will be massive, this was Disney's response to No Way Home, it was the Endgame to Infinity War and they fucked it up real bad

It also all feels so disconnected, it's like Marvel turned into DC.

Meanwhile in reality

How did the peggy carter cap britain made any sense? Was it the same one from What if? Or was there also a ww2 in this bizarro universe?

>muh money
I'm not a shareholder so I don't give a fuck, I want good movies and this one was trash

The movie is easily one of the best MCU flicks

DCucks are already seething in advance when this outgrosses batman in less than 2 weeks

Not true. Lots of people are saying Olsen should get an award for her performance. An oscar even.

GRIM if true

>b-but DC
You lost that one big time though, get new material shill

>Exposes himself that easily

Thought that too, it was such a pointless cameo, and I also think the Reed Richards thing was done only because Tom Cruise didn't do the Iron Man thing, because they both felt like meta fanservice with the audience

Also I feel so sad that they literally introduced Charles Xavier, Reed Richards and Black Bolt in such a pointless and shitty way, what a shame, they shoudl've all been alternate versions of the Avengers but they decided to do the dumbest thing imaginable

>the movie is shit
>oof what about DC?????
>they won a golden lion not two years ago
>H-HAHA EXPOSED
???

Were people in your cinema constantly clapping during the movie?
Mine did and they weren't even American

Im American and no lol

no
only "ooohh" and "yaayyy"

Infinity War was mediocre. No way homo was trash. Kill yourself

>Admittedly a marvel cuck

There have been bad MCU films, but this is the first one that I found physically painful to sit through. Apparently it was originally supposed to be a horror film, which I think would have been better.

Got a friend who enjoyed it though.

>He's a capeshitter
End yourself

but it was a horror movie, just not the horror movie you were thinking of

Me too and it ended up being one of the few Marvel films I've ever enjoyed.

Star Beaner still exists user, the multiverse can still be used

It was a meta horror movie, the scary part is when you see this shit making hundreds of millions at the box office and think about how every movie will be as bad as this one or even worse god help us all in a couple of years

Mine had a few people start to clap but no one joined in and they ended up looking dumb

Dafoe has become a meme. His face is so bogged, spiderman shoulda been like oh no, da foe !

Watched a video with Bruce Campbell and he said that Raimi was constantly told to add and remove scenes because Marvel is changing shit all over the place. Might explain some of the dumb multiverse shit.

They didn't change enough, all of it feels disjointed

yeah maybe if you're 5
imagine not being able to comprehend a cape movie

Everybody "comprehends" these movies shill they're aimed at kids and brown people, they're still a fucking mess because of the horrible writing. By the way the writing on these turds is getting worse isn't it?

this was much better than their last few duds tbqh

>gotta fix it
>Casts another magic spell using a plot device

One thing I liked is how they kept framing Wanda's villainy.

The movie made back its budget on a day
I'm starting to think Yea Forums is genuinely delusional to not even check the box office numbers.
