One thing I never understood is, when it comes to the multiverse, why a higher power like the living Tribunal or the One Above All never intervened when the multiverse is being attacked by some autistic retard
One thing I never understood is, when it comes to the multiverse...
They sent team America universe police
they only care if the person attacking has a chance of actually doing any damage
Plot convenience and none is a perfect writer.
Living Tribunal was in one of the dozen random multiverses Strange and America zip through near the start. The scene with the paint universe, the animated universe, etc
One thing I never understood is, why did Rachel McAdams marry a black guy 5 minutes into the movie?
living tribunal only directly acts on anything that specifically threatens to unravel or doom the entire multiverse. wanda was just on roastie mission to get her kids, and only violated what, 3 universes?
because they came up with tribunal and the one above all after coming up with the other plots
That's way too esoteric for mainstream content, plus it would be too difficult to deal with the implications of apparent divinity.
BBC, big bit coin, she was a gold digger.
Humans are so self-destructive
>durr why did pale hoomin fug darker one
Shut the fucking fuck up and go back to your containment board
>why a higher power like the living Tribunal
might be mentioned or show up in Eternals 2.
It did have a cameo in Doctor Strange 2
> or the One Above All
They are never, ever going to mention God as a being that exists in the MCU.
Having a multiverse kills any stakes that there may have previously been. If there are infinite realities then why should I give a shit if the heroes lose in the one they’re currently showing me
>They are never, ever going to mention God as a being that exists in the MCU.
This guy gets it.
>It did have a cameo in Doctor Strange 2
Really? What does he do?
because hollywood hates you
It was a valid question, no need to spike your oestrogen over it buddy, chill.
Why didnt Strange just use the Book of Vishanti in the previous movie to kill Thanos?
>Really? What does he do?
It was in the background of one of the universes Strange and America were flying through.
This is what I hate about comics too. I'm fine with alternative realities existing, but the moment you merge them and crossover you've completely lost me.
Like Captain Carter, is she meant to be the one from that cartoon too or is it yet another one?
It was in the first 60 seconds of the first cut but Raimi made them push it back to five mins
>One thing I never understood is, why did Rachel McAdams marry a black guy 5 minutes into the movie?
Because hollywood loves to see white people go extinct.
>Like Captain Carter, is she meant to be the one from that cartoon too or is it yet another one?
Another another one. all those cameos come from the same universe so we can see them again in the future in the main MCU universe
I see, thanks for the explanation.
I get it, but this sort of stuff sours me on characters. I understand Reed will return, but I just saw him get turned into a popped balloon.
Why does every single minority female in the MCU hook up with a white guy? Sorry but you can't get 100% of the women.
>but I just saw him get turned into a popped balloon.
And that's why it was a gigantic fuck up because if you've never read the comics or never seen the other movies, Reed is now dead in your mind. We're also at least 2 years away from a FF movie, probably 3-4.
There's no canon explanation given, but if you want my own headcanon, the One Above All created the MCU and is content to watch it play out, however that might be. If someone comes along and destroys it, then so be it. He can wipe everything and start again, as he has probably already done several times anyway
I don't even know where they're going or what they're trying to set up. Wasn't Kang some big deal?
>I don't even know where they're going or what they're trying to set up.
No one does. They really don't have a plan. Hell we're not even getting an Avengers movie to end Phase 4.
>Wasn't Kang some big deal?
In Loki. Only in Loki.
>One thing I never understood is
Dude, Kevin Feige doesn't know what this is, he just follows Victoria Alonso's orders, you think the MCU is organized and planned but it's not the MCU is just their vehicle to get the message across
Christ man. Makes you wonder if they changed tact to these less successful characters (Jane Thor, Riri, Chavez) to kill it off or something
>Shang Chi's rings are calling out like a beacon for something or some shit like that
>Half the Eternals are setting off to rescue the others
>Strange is in the dark dimension with a fuckbuddy doing fuck knows what
None of it feels linked. Maybe Thor might add some big arc connections but it feels like they really have no plan for an end of phase thing.
>Makes you wonder if they changed tact to these less successful characters (Jane Thor, Riri, Chavez) to kill it off or something
No, they largely only care about it being diverse and woke. They're changing all the character to women and minorities because that's what they want the MCU to look like.
For some reason they think they'll still make the same amount of money but in reality, they're on their way to killing the franchise.
Just buy Phases 1-3 on 4K and pretend everything after Endgame doesn't exist.
I'm starting to buy into this sort of thinking, but obviously they must know outside of the odd film, there will never be the consistent peaks of the prior phases. Its almost like it's going to slowly tank off anyway and they're going to blame the audience for not engaging due to sexism or something.
>Disney made billions of dollars adapting the characters and storylines from the 1960s to early 1990s that made Marvel a dominant force in comics
>Disney has now moved on to adapting the disastrous flop comics that forced Marvel to the brink of bankruptcy in the first place
They have to be well aware of the yawning chasm in front of them
Why are they willfully choosing to step into it?
They have so many other universes they could pull stories from or retrofit. Fuck, make OC. Its bizarre they're happily walking towards this
Has these been ran through and back in a translator?
>I'm starting to buy into this sort of thinking, but obviously they must know outside of the odd film, there will never be the consistent peaks of the prior phases.
Absolutely. MCU has peaked. We'll never get something as cool as Endgame ever again.
At best there'll accidentally be a real good movie. Like No Way Home.
Best buy the old stuff while it's in print and before they release special editions and discontinue the old stuff ala Star Wars.
>They have to be well aware of the yawning chasm in front of them
The have doublethink getting them through this.
When their shit fails, they say "this is why we need more woke stuff"
If their shit succeeds, they say "this is why we need more woke stuff".
>Why are they willfully choosing to step into it?
Because they care more about their message than appealing to the broad base of fans (which they consider many of them to be racists that need to be erased).
Cause it's capeshit. They only live if you give them your money and watch their repetitive films again and again.
I'd point out that the first Iron Man and Ed Norton Hulk movies had no "universe building" besides the extremely vague Samuel L. Jackson cameos to hint "Oh yeah this is going somewhere"
But by the time Thor and Captain America came along, both in films centering on a specific Magic Rock From Space, it became clear that they were doing Infinity War. Then they spent the next decade meandering around but gradually filling out Infinity War.
Since Thanos and Tony's big exit, there have now been three years, six movies and six seasons of television and there's still nothing concrete about what the fuck is going on or where it's headed
>there was a fake gauntlet based on what Thanos would wear
>It somehow predated the creation of Thanos' actual gauntlet
>But by the time Thor and Captain America came along, both in films centering on a specific Magic Rock From Space, it became clear that they were doing Infinity War. Then they spent the next decade meandering around but gradually filling out Infinity War.
yeah at the end of the first avengers movie, we knew where we were going (thanos + infinity war)
we have no idea where they're going and phase 4 already has 11 movies released or scheduled (phase 1 only had like 6) not counting the myriad of tv shows.
because these movies are made to push an agenda against family, procreation etc
It was a minor detail but still an unnecessary retcon, when I saw the glove in Asgard my first thought was that Odin had beaten the shit out of Thanos centuries ago and taken it and at some point Thanos would reclaim it (maybe even just have Loki steal it back for him)
Before he got old and sick Odin definitely could have done that right?
You don't need to be a perfect writer to be aware of inconsistencies in your story.
yeah, eternity should have intervened but the guys making the stories dont know the character exists.
also kill yourself if you give shekels to the mouse.
He thought it didn't exist.
>how will this help us sell movie tickets?
I immediately shouted BLACKED when I saw this in theater, and dropped my pants and began to pleasuring myself
They do, you just don't see them at work, dumb human.
Did supreme strange even show up in the movie?
He was one of the best characters in What If, along with ultron
No. Only captain carter, and she was a different one.
>Did supreme strange even show up in the movie?
Nope.
This is why they should cast different actors for most multiversal versions, it takes a lot of the oomph out of the character to have seen what is essentially the same guy, played by the same actor, get killed as a gag/dick swinging moment for another character. Not to mention the first intro of the multiverse in No Way Home had different actors and markedly different personalities for each Peter.
I like the theory that Thanos intentionally waited until Odin, Hela and The Ancient One were dead to make his move because he knew any of them would have stomped his purple dick off
Well, that's disappointing
Do you intervene when society is being attacked by some autistic retard?
I don't see how Odin or Hela could stand up to Thanos with the power stone (which was the first and easiest one to get), even more considering that he could just skip the space stone and go directly to the reality one, and maybe even the soul one without stumbling into them
He'd be fucked if he fought the ancient one though, as she's considerably stronger than normal Strange
OP is not an all-powerful celestial entity
Raimi likes it
i am the autistic retard who attacks
