It really doesn't get more kino in the genre of space weapons than Aliens and Starship Troopers.

Elysium and district 9... Especially the rail gun in elysium. Best part of an otherwise shit film

what is the red dot for?

button I mean

it deploys the inflatable whore

self destruct button

This would be the greatest weapon ever if it actually sounded like it does in the film.

The counter on the side is a bit retarded.
Also did they have sex in between the action scenes?

phase plasma rifle in the 40 watt range

why didn't they just make a sack of fake flesh, fill it with future weapons, and send it along with Arnold?

I'm the opposite. The more I think about the Aliens Pulse Rifle, the less i like it.

1. LED ammo display on the side, not useful. In the front is more. Plus, an LED display will light up and show your postiion in the dark.
2. The size and ammo suggest it's actually a SMG-Shotgun combo rather than a proper assault rifle. This is ideal for police situations but not military. It looks like it'd fit the role of MP5 than an M16 or M4.
3. Further proof is that the prop is built from a Thompson machine gun prop with SPAS shotgun parts.
4. The M4 already has a huge list of attachments possible. The Pulse Rifle seems to have them built in and not customizable like the real gun. So in effect we have something that already does the job better than the fantasy.
5. Real world the Pulse Rifle might see some use similar to P90. Small compact for tank crews.

>Hey, just what you see, pal.

Having an ammo counter isn’t a terrible idea, especially when your gun holds over 90 rounds of ammunition per mag. That said having it below the sight similar to halos assault rifle would be better for the user, but it doesn’t take that much effort to check by the mag for an ammo count

sentence: 2 weeks in the based department

kek.

Hey it's the security guard from the Bell protests episode of DS9

Starfury is a weapon

Did anyone else have the NERF gun that looked just like this? It had a collapsible butt and a barrel attachment.

I don’t think it’s really comparable to an smg, it uses 10mm caseless ammo that can apparently penetrate Standard marine body armor and also is explosive, not exactly something you want for a sub machine gun

>first two movies lay out this aesthetic for the future war
>later movies somehow keep fucking it up

The recent movies make T3 look like a masterpiece - I didn't mind T3 though.

>ammo counter on side where shooter can't see it

I just realized how fucking dumb this is.

how in the hell did we get terminator dark fat and terminator genesis beffore a future war movie?

fucking Protoss shits

The ending of T3 is one of the best scenes in the franchise

But there's also the rest of the film

learn hungarian and read the bootleg novells. 10/10 hopeless kino future wars

I didn't mind Elysium. Kino weapons at least.

the cinematography and direction in this scene is just incredible

Gun-fu.

what a waste

kek. It is a shame the whole movie is so dark.

ya but that plot and messaging

>1% have a decent quality of life
>the brown masses destroy it
>now everybody lives in shit

don't tell me those 2 dozen medical droids will make any dent in the public health on that barren earth

Well comparing it to other scenes of the film

Attached: blank.jpg (520x293, 3.17K)

did he really think this was going to be as good as the matrix?

One of the cheapest movies I've seen in a long time. The CG monster looks ok but the rest of the film is just like one set and a load of repeating zombie extras, with plastic looking weapons.

Nogunz here, are you allowed to stick your head out of the booth at the shooting range?

Military uses what is cheapest to run and not what is best. Modular is the name of the game so they use as many common parts as possible. Enter ar15. They use if from anything like marksman rifle (m16) to carbine (m4) to dmr (mk12) to some retarded smg replacement for CQC that waste half of its energy on blast because of some stupid 10 inch barrel. They are modular because if they aren't they will suck so much they will be borderline unusable.

The only sin of the alien rifles is its too long. They go to some place that will 100% not have anything to shoot at long distance. The longest distance is ~ 50 yards getting rifle makes no sense. SMG shotgun combo makes perfect sense it just too long in the movie. Imagine something like kriss vector in 10mm auto loaded extra hot. Combine it with shotgun like HK CAWS that shoot frag12 to defeat some light armor because 10mm sucks at this. You get the aliens rifle.

lmao @ the missing gunflash at the second shot

of all the things the designers bothered to think of- the fucking suit just gets implanted onto his skin over whatever shirt he's wearing

Did you miss the part where they drill it into his bones?

/thread

I can't wait to see movie about this war... oh shit

that's what I mean, he gets it fucking drilled into him over a T-shirt. He now has to wear that shirt forever or rip it off and have a shirt thickness of difference between his skin and the tech no?

Not really. Since anybody who gets their hand on one is going to the isocubes or the morgue. Makes it hard for word to get out.

What is this? That joke of a Doom straight to video movie?

correct answer
wrong. rich people are fucking up everything on earth and already planning on how to gtfo before it gets bad. if we lived in the elysium future it would be extremely based to just pillage elysium of anything useful and then blow the entire thing out of orbit with all the rich people inside.

You'd get yelled at.
