It's not just the quality of materials. If you look at her waist there is fabric creases, and at her pelvis the design allows for actually lifting your legs up. Her costume is designed to move in a lot more, which means the production took that into account and made alterations. They didn't need to alter Thor's because he probably wears it once, does nothing in it, and then spend the rest of the movie in Hawaiian shirts while meditating and visiting Buddhist temples.
