No son, that's not how you do it

haha

My 90 year old grandpa has driven with both feet all of his life

Driving with one foot is a manual transmission thing, which is a skill americans cannot comprehend

Season 2 is peak comfy

There is no stopping this man!

we have car arcade machines retard we know how to clutch

I’m like the guy from Drive except I can’t drive so I just walk everywhere instead

Euro here, I took the American pill and got myself an automatic.

It's honestly better and everyone trying to say otherwise is wrong

>but muh dynamic driving isn't fun anymore

Well, you might be right there, but honestly, there is nothing really engaging in adding clutching as an extra thing to do.

manual is for people who like driving, automatic is for ppl who just want to get from point A to point B

They dont even sell manuals in the US anymore except for a few cars, and it's usually an expensive trim level

what the fuck was the point of walter jr. in this show
>b-breakfes

Usually Euros first cars are cheap and manuals. (Chesper to repair). Once they make some money they buy automatic

This scene was so ridiculous. How can you slam both feet on the pedals

fucking Americans

I think in an emergency it's important to step on the brakes and only the brakes.
Using both feet you might step on the gas by accident.

>driving is synchronising your foot and your hand correctly at the right time, once every 5 seconds

no

There isn't much difference honestly, a couple hundred maybe. Some cars only have automatic transmissions on their expensive models, that's true though.

This

How does manual work?

>Normies will never learn how to do the easiest form of burnout because they train themselves to only use 1 foot all the time
Doing a burnout in a stick shift was so embarrassing for me for a while, I couldn't get my cobra to spin for the longest time. Now I've got the hang of it though.

Good thing there are millions of exceptional used cars on the market every single year that don't involve getting jewed by the dealership, and up to your mechanical level, can last longer than some piece of shit plastic oil pump sack of shit new car.

You have one extra pedal that you have to press to change gears, it has to be coordinated with the shift stick. You have to lift your foot off the gas every time you shift.

It's more dynamic and engaging, and in the past was actually better for saving fuel because you can hit low RPMs before shifting, but that has changed a few decades ago.

>Automatics now have 6-10 gears
>Stick shifts only have 6 gears
>automatics now have so much investment
>They're now extremely strong
>extremely responsive
>some of them even SELF LEARN to the driver
>they shift faster
>more gears means better power at request
>the best stick shift can really only take 700lb-ft of torque
>the average automatic you find inside of an f-150 can take 800lb-ft of torque

manualcucks finally lost, face it, the only reason to own stick shift now is for your own pleasure. You have no other argument, and that's fine, but just accept it.

>but just accept it.
No.

why the fuck would you ever buy a manual car over an automatic?

Attached: 1400050481109.png (444x287, 49.26K)

When the automatic transmission has recalls and is garbage, for example, the Ford Powershift Transmissions for the Ford Focus and Ford Fiesta.
So I bought the 5 speed.
And hilariously I got 2 warranty replacement transmissions, so, I don't know if that's considered winning. Holy fuck I hate new cars. I bought a 66' Ford Galaxie recently because of how shit new cars are. Fix almost everything on the car with a fucking screwdriver.

That's anecdotal at best user.

Just because a piece of shit with zero quality control had some issues doesn't mean all brands and models are the same.

yeah nah i don't make enough money to be buying new model cars

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ford_PowerShift_transmission#Faulty_operation

>usually
No not really, only in the case of boomers buying expensive BMWs or Mercedes', or faggots buying electric cars

>Buy stick shift
>Have to replace clutch in 60,000 to 100,000 miles
>automatic
>200,000 miles never even looked at the bellhousing once

What? With manual transmission you need to use two feet when you go from neutral to 1st gear. Otherwise your car turns off

subscription models are stupid af. It was stupid when software tried to do it, it is stupid when big auto and scooters try to do it, but the stupidest is the bigpharma immunsystem as a service. Holy shit, imagine how dumb one must be to fall for it

One foot driving is so retards don't panic and slam both pedals when surprised as retards tend to do. Funnily enough those same people will argue against it because they're too stupid to understand why it's bad.

More like people just don't want to live in the past and do extra work when they don't have to.

Americans literally invented the car so it baffles me that euros can even pretend to be smug about something that none of them were able to create themselves let alone feign superiority over obsolete tech that they themselves had no had in.

Do Europeans even drive cars ? I thought they all had walking cities and took the train (or Trainy Wainy as they say in UK)

Nicolas Joseph Cugnot invented the "car" in the 18th century

More control, easier to maintain, and demands full attention which should be priority behind the wheel. But I get it. You need to be on your phone and you need to consume media constantly so god forbid you faggot limp wristed zoomers actually pay attention to anything ever

automatics only work on plains, I wouldn't trust them in a mountainous region

>t.

Euro here too. Fuck driving and the entire culture around it. When I am forced to drive, I prefer automatic because yanking a mechanical dick for transport doesn't turn me on.

>My 1L shitbox has a manual transmission instead of automatic, this means I like driving more than you.

if Americans drove manual they couldn't be eating their mcburguers when they are stuck one hour in traffic going from the downtown to their suburbia, basically its a consequence of niggers, people would rather eat inside their cars with the doors closed than to go to a restaurant and be afraid of niggers.
Niggers created suburbia when white people hat to get away from downtown, they created traffic and they creayed people eating in cars and thus having to drive automatic.

Now hold on, I am constantly dangerously shoving food into my mouth while in rush hour traffic while driving a stick shift. I've got no problem with it at all.

You stick drivers have more complexes than a tranny.

why do you manual fags think driving manual is some profound skill? i'm not drag racing so i don't need to drive with "more control".

>Your face when drag racing with a stick shift is intentionally gimping yourself and there isn't a good stick shift for high power drag racing

Attached: 3000000.png (88x78, 12.8K)

>funny joke from tv show gets posted
>you all immediately start sperging out about americans

Attached: 1652365854785.gif (411x227, 3.76M)

Why don't you just stop buying shitty American cars?

american roads are so long and straight, and if you drive automatic I dont get how you are not falling sleep and crashing every day

this is why I daily drive stick but race automatic.
I drive to work so tired, and back extremely tired, so the stick shift helps keep me awake. When I race though, automatics are better. Nothing beats a high stall torque converter perfectly releasing you everytime when your camshaft is starting to reach peak power.

theft prevention

Usually I post on Yea Forums, I could be driving right now for all you know

>Hank, I want to Breaking Bad
what the fuck were they thinking?

Attached: Breaking Bad - S04E01 - Box Cutter Bluray-720p.x265-BMF.mkv_snapshot_43.46_[2021.07.02_02.00.47].jpg (1280x720, 282.08K)

I have an automatic car and i can agree with this.

>this is what Europeans consider a car
Oof

There's one thing I hate about car-fags: The way they have meltdowns over a car not having a stick.
You are retarded.

the skill of being poor

I'm a europoor, and as such have a manual car. And I gotta say I see nothing wrong with autos. A car mains purpose is to get you to a place. So what's the big deal? Why do people act like it matters?
>B-But I have more control
Unless you're planning to do some street races or some shit, it literally doesn't matter. My GF is getting an auto soon, so I'm going to drive that around for shits and giggles, it'll be my first time. And apart from the initial habit of wanting to change gears, it probably won't be a big deal. Because it really fucking isn't.
