I have lost the will to give a fuck anymore about star trek. I want this nightmare we call the Kurtzman era to end.

So, Rich, what did you think of Star Trek: Strange New Worlds episode 1: Strange New Worlds?

Attached: end of trek.png (844x563, 562.88K)

Well, considering they appear to be under orders to make a decent Star Trek series for once. It might not be that bad.

I doubt they'll review it until mid-season in the event it turns bad.

Mike gave up on star trek, he quite clearly said so. I doubt we will see any more from them

>he quite clearly said so
He and Rich quite clearly said they wouldn't do second seasons of STD and Picard either at one point.

I thought he just said he wasn't reviewing S3 of Picard.

Man, I can't get over the fact that Data is the bad guy in Piccard

>Dead Franchise, but British incels keep posting at 50.

What would /trek/ recommend for this situation?

Fall in line, or fall overboard.

Is that T'Pring? Hot damn...

I am so happy that Star Trek is back, bros...

If I were captain, I would never give my subordinates permission to speak freely.

No way this is real…

DISCO had full on naked Klingon titties in a sex scene.

Are those vulcan breast implants?

Big fake ones would be illogical. Vulcan breasts just naturally look like that.

Strange New Worlds is actually ... good?
It still had a few of rough spots, but holy shit is it a far-cry from the drivel of Discovery and Picard (but so did TNG when it first aired). Please don't fuck this up.

Uniform customization is at Captains discretion so I agree and give everyone deep cut V necks.

Cautiously optimistic right now. Just hoping it doesn't shit the bed in the following episodes.

The SNW writers have had to learn some hard lessons about star trek but season one is a gamechanger
and I'm really looking forward to seeing how this pans out.

Insider here, here are some MASSIVE shifts Picard S3 is making, half of work done is literally being thrown out:
>Producers and writers already decided to shift focus to talk about Ukraine and Russia situation
>Patrick Stewart not only agreed with shift in course, he demanded to double down on it
>What they agreed on is that Klingons will try to conquer some newly discovered planet for their resources, but if you take away the resources the race will die because everything on that planet is interconnected
>Some writers realize, but no one wants to point out some similarities to Avatar to Patrick Stewart
>Picard and co are trying to protect the planet after discovering infinite wisdom and benevolence of Zelen people, green cat aliens of that planet.

My bet is that they will do a summary of snw ep1 in their Picard ep10 video with mild praise(noting how modern TV front loads the good episodes into the start of the season like what they did with discovery s2) and will only do further snw videos if it is a good season all the way through.

I'm absolutely FIENDING for some Ketracel white right now.

Simple. "We have a uniform code. I expect you to adhere to Starfeelt regulations. That's an order". And then I would look around for a new officer.

But Vulcans would never do this, because ultimately they have a very strong stance on public decency. In SNW, Spock and his wife were told firmly to go kiss somewhere else in one of the opening scenes.

How low do your standards have to be to say
>well this is kind-of sort-of Star Trek so it's good!

How low do your standards have to be to say
>well this has a white man in the lead role so it's good!

Why was Wil just wearing his own clothes in Picard. You’d think dimension traveller Wesley would dress in something more interesting than the “ambush Wil at the Ready Room catering table and bring him onto the set for a cameo” drip

Armus, the minecraft skin.
