Trek kino is back

It took them 22 years after the end of DS9.

But OP, after deeesnine you had Enterprise.
That's as kino as it gets.

why this guy? the pilot for the original series failed and he was replaced with the superior Kirk.

no one likes this officer

I hear it is bad.
I have seen the Borg episode of, supposedly this is peak Enterprise and I found even that mediocre. So, I suspect the average quality of Enterprise is on same level as VOY.

The Cage is better than the rest of TOS.
Gene wanted the entire series to be like the Cage, but producers forced him to make wacky adventurer of Kirk.
TNG finally became what Gene wanted.

There is no way this could be even tolerable. The modern woke millennials making this shit dont even understand Star Trek , did not grow up with it and cant resist shitting on IP that was popular with boomers.

I really enjoyed it. Brings me back to when I first discovered TNG.

>supposedly this is peak Enterprise and I found even that mediocre
It is not. As an ENT lover, the borg episode is kinda shitty. That's like pointing TNG to someone and not bringing on Darmok or Measure of a man.
Watch Dear Doctor, I believe it is s01e13. If you don't like that one well, then don't watch ENT, but that would be one of the best.

That's what I thought, but it really surprised me

>Watch Dear Doctor, I believe it is s01e13. If you don't like that one well, then don't watch ENT, but that would be one of the best.
I hear SF Debris bring up "Night In Sickbay" a lot, he seems to think it awful overrated episode that describes the average ENT.

Night In Sickbay is a GREAT episode of sci fi tv period, but I don't think if it's a good representation of ENT.
It can work the same with, say, captain Kirk and a kid.
It's an emotional episode and shows some problems with commanding a ship and humbling things only the captain can take for the sake of the crew.
But that is hardly ENT specific.

you have shit taste

The best part of Today is watching Rios stay in the past in the Picard finale and then in the SNW Premier Pike uses footage of that past crumbling into nuclear war and millions dying I think a couple years after they leave that timeline.

>Yea Forums only likes it because it's a straight white male
Typical.

And he literally dies in a bar fight because that's a good ending for his character.

Those crazy drunk and violent latinos!

When did Picard finale air? I thought there few more hours.

>everyone said this series would be episodic
>they setup multiple story threads that aren't going to resolved in an episode or two straight out the gate ("Bye dad, see you in the season 1 cliffhanger to set up your demise in season two!")
>Season 1 promo looks like a single fucking episode
With Kurtzman and Goldsmith still alive I knew this would be dogshit, but I chose to believe otherwise for some damn reason...

So this is what the GrubHub bots have been repurposed to do.

My take on captains:
>The Cage Pike: kino
>Kirk: cringe
>Picard (TNG): kino
>Virgin Sisko (season 1): cringe
>Pimp Sisko (post-season 1): kino
>Janeway: cringe
>Locha: kino
>Pike (STD season 2): kino
>Saru (STD season 3): kino
>Picard (PIC): cringe

Trust has been broken and I'm not going to be tricked into watching a couple of carefully crafted early episodes designed to lure in classic fans that will then lead into yet more Woke Trek. If it can go three seasons without flying a freak flag, then I'll binge watch it and catch up.

I hope it stays good. But the shadow of the Kurtz looms over it.

>something made after 2010 is gonna be good, guys!
Go tongue fuck a nigger's anus, shill.

Are you even talking about SNW?
Because I don't recall anybody's dad appearing in episode 1. Do you mean Spock's wife?

>Do you mean Spock's wife?
The white bitch in the cabin going off to Starfleet.

just looked it up and saw Akiva directed the first episode. Not worth the risk.

Yes, that is she.

>DS9
That's not how you spell Voyager. But yes, it was pretty good.

This is better than voyager and you’re a nostalgia blind fag if you say otherwise

Yes.

Guys, it's been ONE episode.

/facepalm

VOY has fewer than five good episodes, cope.

Bable one, shuttle pod one, the andorian incident, these are all great trek episodes, ENT has some bangers throughout but it got screwed by it’s over arcing story and was then canceled just as it hit its stride

I'll try not to slit my wrists, user. As for you, Cheers in Space has none.

Like this morning? All the treks go live at the same time on streaming

It took TNG 20 episodes to produce one good episode. STD has produced 40 episodes without anyone being decent, so I'd say even a single good episode is an accompolishment.

If they pull off three good episodes in a row they already have a better average than VOY

The Xindi arc is the best Trek ever filmed. Fite me.

I just finished the first episode. I've waited decades for a good modern star trek. This 1 episode shits all over STD.

9 for a good episode and 12 for a banger. user this is the 90th over all episode of kurtztrek, this show is going to be insulting to us and the franchise like the rest of them

>This 1 episode shits all over STD.
It kinda hurts that they felt the need to acknowledge Milky Spock's existence, but I guess they had to. Hopefully, they tone down references to STD season 2. It will get really tired if every episode is Pike having PTSD and Spock talking about how he misses his "sister".

>trek kino is back
>kurtzman
stop falling for it.

Its paramount. They need to advertise their failure some how. They dont seem to lean on it as a crutch and just a shitty reference. I'm sure they will eventually drop it.

What will you do if the entire season 1 is great?

What will you do when it isn’t?

not act shocked.

nothing

I might actually pay for Paramount Plus.

But let's see where this going even, first episode of PIC season 2 showed some promise and then went to absolute shit.

Regardless everything in the first episode of SNW is different to nyTrek that it seems like it wasn't even made by them. Maybe they finally got some competent people who were able to fix what Cuckman and Goldsmith throw at them.

I feel it would need to be at least acknowledged at some point that they are both carrying this super classified secret trauma they can't really discuss with anyone else. I'm happy they got it out of the way early and used it effectively for Pike's arc in the episode

star trek was always woke. You would screech about the cast of TOS if it released today.

Don't be stupid. It's shaping up to be a decent series as long as they don't go full retard, but... pay? For P+?

wut

>this is that wokesters say to cope
have you ever had an original thought in your head?

Or maybe Kuzman and Goldsman were busy in producing STD season 4 and PIC season 2, that they didn't have time to micromanage SNW, and it allowed the team autonomy.
The same thing happened with Berman, because he micromanaged VOY, DS9 was allowed to go off the rails and question Gene's vision.

>pandering to chinks
>pandering to ruskies
>of course there is a black woman why not. You can't make a show without black people this day and age. It's impossible. Frankfurt school, postmodernism, da jooz. You name it.

The xindi themselves were great, but the temporal Cold War wasn’t

>Rated TV-MA

Nah. Star Trek is supposed to be family friendly.

Really? The pilot was TV-MA?
Why? It didn't have cursing, nudity, gore, or violence. It literally could be TNG episode.

Punished Archer mogs all other captains though.

why is every single character so goddamn nonchalant and unprofessional, its annoying

>no Jellico
>no Archer

They probably don't want to feel restricted by a lower rating so they can show more adult stuff if they feel its necessary.

Ill wait till the first 3 episodes are released and see how trek fans like it before I take a look myself. Right now I just see a lot of "coming from Picard this is great", which doesn't tell me anything except its not total garbage. A plain piece of white bread would taste amazing if I just come off of eating a plate of shit everyday for the last year. I figure by episode 3 if fans arent saying "oh wait, this actually is shit", then it might be good.

Not even close.

Attached: The Queen.jpg (557x428, 30.71K)

Example?
The only case I think of is the nurse and doctor letting the guy run away.

Not how rating work right?
Studios don't pick their rating, it is picked for them by a committee that watches the produce. This is why some movie like King's Speech have additional scenes with the sole purpose of increasing the rating.

>1 episode
>was just an imaginary historical figure with no basis in reality

Naw

>"coming from Picard this is great"
I don't think even people who watch STD like Picard.

>prequel
>that cringe in trailer
i won't even bother. Star trek ended with Voyager.

I liked Archer well enough, but he's a commoner next to Arachnia. Meaning Janeway had a hell of a lot of good episodes and several variations on her theme.

Attached: bride_279.jpg (705x530, 87.73K)

Star Trek ended with Enterprise.

ENT is not a trek. It has more in common with disco than it has with ds9, voy, tng, tos and tas

I mean that at some point in the season there's going to be something that justifies the rating, but outside of that it's not something they're specifically going for. At the very least it could just be a few utterances of "fuck".

>another fictional character within an already fictional show

Punished Archer still supreme.

The five good in no particular order:
1. Warship Voyager, where EMH is left behind
2. episode where EMH is teleported to Alpha Quadrant and has work with newer EMH
3. episode where the hunters takeover VOY and use the holodeck to larp as nazies
4. episode where Janeway's decision to give the hunters holo technology backfires
5. episode Kes comes back and kills everybody, forcing time travel
The Hunters, 7/9, EMH were literally the only good thing in VOY.

the biggest thing being how everybody acts and the difference of their ship

watch it
