The main problem is Saul was never meant to be a main character, he is comic relief for a main character. His brother's electricity storyline was silly and uninteresting for the most part, and the new Jimmy and Kim get Howard storyline is even sillier.

i kind of agree with this. Instead of focussing on what led up to the events of breaking bad they should have told the story of saul moving on from breaking bad and inlcude mike, hector and the rest in flashbacks to set the narrative for the episode they appear in. you know gus won't die, mike won't die, saul won't die. all of the big players are safe, only new ones like Kim or Enchilada could die.
