There are circumstances you forget it's acting. If you are preoccupied by your own sympathy or aspiration with the situation or character you stop talking about acting. That's what art is supposed to do. It should break down distance and make you forget yourself

2. The actor's acting alone delivers the story and entertains audience

For a scene of One table two chairs:
Establishing shot then Shot reverse. That constitutes as editing because it might entertain audience and hide the fact that two actors talking are boring.

Closeup is also cheating. It might distract or entertain audience with pleasant facial features, and show hand gestures that are normally boring. It might also show cleavage which is considered porn by me.

True acting can only deliver and entertain using the performance itself.
