Jimmy just wanted the Sandpiper money asap by settling out of court, but Howard is holding the case hostage, so he needs HHM to take a hit which forces them to take the settlement instead of playing the long game.

Kim is pissed at Howard for being complicit in all of Chuck's bullshit which fell back on her personally, so she feels Howard is a deserving target of Jim's shenanigans. She's also hooked on scams thanks to Jimmy, it gets her all hot and bothered.

I'd say he's fairly similar to Jimmy, especially the way Jimmy is in the show right now, but Saul Goodman is the exact opposite of Bob. Bob does seem to be one of those sad clown comedians, unlike Bryan Cranston for example, who's bursting with energy at all times.
