The original script had Ripley land on a literal wooden planet populated by monks.

Wasn't there a version where the Alien became a computer virus or something like that?

>wooden planet populated by monks.

kino

First I've heard of that. Sounds pretty wild.

i might believe it, there were like 15 treaments for alien 3

Something that outlandishly interesting and backed by insanely creative individuals with a passion for doing it, and you think its a bad idea. this is why generic capeshit infested for so many years.

>literal wooden planet populated by monks
Was this before or after the floating wooden space monastery populated by monks? Sounds kino in either case.

Don't be a moron. This isn't a Marvel franchise where you can introduce shit like wooden planets out of nowhere. There's an internal logic to these movies and suddenly having cartoon physics ruins the immersion. It's like suddenly giving the xenos actual magic powers like this YOU are the reason why modern movies are so fucking retarded. You've grown up on superhero movies and you expect all movies to now follow that same formula.

user, space travel is cartoon physics.

Maybe but space travel is a staple of the sci-fi genre. It's not on the same level of disbelief as a wooden planet.

why would they not use wood in space?

think we all realize what a masterpiece the island of dr. moreau is

Not when Aliens exists and contradicts basically every aspect of Alien.

Literal brainlet.

How so?
The xeno from Alien is a different caste from the ones in Aliens and Alien3.

Are you drunk?

There was a script where Ripley became the new MOTHER ai.

Alien 3 was the worst pile of shit next to "The Predator". The worst movie ever made.
Part4 was good bc part 3 was so bad.

>As Sam and his family flee, the town begins to collapse in on itself. Along the way, they are attacked by a huge Xenomorph, consisting of twenty human/Xenomorph hybrids all fused together into one enormous amorphous creature. Sam, Mary, Mark, and Karen manage to outrun it before reaching the remaining ship on the station, a small fighter craft, as the entire structure beneath them begins to tear apart and reform. Unfortunately, the ship sits on the far side of a chasm and they cannot reach it. The mutated John reappears and prepares to attack, but Sam pleads with his father's remaining humanity; the creature relents, lifting his family gently onto the shuttle. They take off, and behind them the disintegrating remains of the station fuse with John and the remaining Xenomorphs to become one giant biomechanical creature.

>Aboard the shuttle, Sam puts his family into hypersleep and records a final distress message for the incoming rescue ship. Suddenly, the shuttle itself comes alive, itself infected by the Xenomorph virus. The creature that was the space station reappears, closing in on them fast, forming into a colossal mouth. Sam and his family don spacesuits, and before ejecting themselves from the transforming fighter craft, Sam fires its nuclear warheads. The resulting explosion kills both Xenomorph creatures. Sam, Mary, Mark, and Karen drift in space as the rescue ship arrives.

The script sounds like it would be right up his alley.

Alien3 is kino.

This! The only safe option was to remake Alien with a grimy 90s aesthetic instead of a kino 70s aesthetic.

now THAT would have been kino
>Ripley land on a wood forest planet populated by monkeys

Turns out... little monkey alien.

DON'T TALK SHIT!

>now THAT would have been kino
David Twohy did one of the early drafts, it was his idea to have it set on a prison planet called Fury where they would experiment on prisoners.
Twohy then went on to make Pitch Black featuring a character (who turns out to be from a planet called Furya) named Riddick, who has undergone a surgical procedure which allows him to see in the dark, which gives him an edge when fighting feral space niggers in the dark.
i 100% believe Riddick was originally going to be a prisoner in alien3.
no idea if true but that woulda been cool right?
also this

This but unironically.

but where's the monkeys

also Twohy's draft didn't include Ellen Ripley and would feature a male lead.
Ripley with a dick
Riddick
think about it

mind = blown

There was another version where Xenomorphism was a virus and it took place in like a space station and people would rip their skins off and become xenomorphs and Hicks was the MC in it

might be the one by william gibson. they didn't know if sigourney weaver was gonna come back so she's in a coma

my only problem with alien3 is this fucking egg. i only let it slide because the rest of the movie, especially the ending is kino.

forgot to post egg

I can't remember if it was that script treatment or another that had a space station that was so big, it had a highway that a high-speed chase took place on with Hicks. Been looking for that draft for ages.

>that woulda been cool right?
Not really because Riddick was unbelievable cringe. The game was cool though.
Anyway that script is available online so you can see for yourself if a Riddick character is in it.

Annie Hall was supposed to be a close to three hours long murder mystery before the editor stopped Woody and they turned it into a Romantic comedy.

You're right
>The Xenomorph material aboard Anchorpoint exhibits an ability to alter other genetic material on contact. Hicks and Bishop break into the labs to destroy the samples there. They succeed and are detained, but unbeknownst to them they are already too late — Tully and Welles have been "infected" by the airborne Xenomorph contagion in an earlier accident. During a briefing between the senior personnel into the incident, it transpires that some of the material recovered from Bishop's legs has been sent on to Earth aboard the Sulaco. The infection within Welles then manifests itself as she undergoes "the change", tearing off her skin and revealing a new form of Xenomorph beneath. The creature assaults the meeting's attendees, killing Fox before itself being destroyed. Hicks is released from detention by Rosetti when it is discovered Tully has disappeared.

both the Riddick movies were gay but Pitch Black was decent

>it's the chance of a lifetime
>you must let me have it

The studio nearly went with a Woody Allen comedy of errors script for Alien 3 but the deal fell through at the last minute.

How can he speak without opening his mouth?

Sounds like a ripoff of the weak "infection" subtext of The Thing (which was never really developed and didn't make sense in context)

Kek boomers literally hate this entire film because they dared to kill the kid from aliens. shit was kino and aliens is dogshit

>tfw Kenner gorilla alien was my favorite aliens toy as a kid

This sounds familiar but I genuinely think this was a fanfic written in the late 90s or 2000s

The logic in that version of Alien 3 is that if you inject alien DNA with anything, it'll rapidly evolve into a monster. Like rats or humans and androids.

>Alien 3
>saved

How the fuck would one be able to breathe on a wooden structure in outer fucking space?

>Xenomorphism was a virus
Sounds like something Ridley Scott stole for that black goo shit in Prometheus.

Trees create oxygen retard

>Trees create oxygen retard
Not enough to protect you from space, idiot.

Sounds like something directed by JJ abrams

Not in the context of a vacuum, nimrod.

Reminder: the real Alien 3 is titled Isolation

cool it with the antisemitism

>Isolation
top kek
That shitty game was just a fucking Outlast rip off.

Best story, scenes, tech, aesthetic, and characters since the first two. Don't care if there was another similar game unrelated to alien at all

It kind of hams up the 70s aesthetic though in a way that doesn't make sense. It's like Bioshock at times with its lampshading of bygone aesthetic. Also the parts with the shitty knockoff bots (Wernstrom Corp or something) go on too long.
