>I NEED TO CONSOOM ALL THE LATEST MEDIA
I NEED TO CONSOOM ALL THE LATEST MEDIA
>I can't consoom
There is fuck all worth watching.
>I mustn't miss another HOT take
This is true and not enough people talk about it. There’s simply too much media today. The reason all these streaming services are struggling is because they chose a quantity over quality approach and now there’s an abundance of content that no one wants to watch. 99% of media is mediocre or bad.
I don't even watch anything new tv. Mostly watch older shows
This is why I live in a cave, drink the dew of the mountain and fap to billboards (free).

too much tv to keep up?
i feel starved for good content
there are good shows that i cant be bothered to start but still
Investing in a tv show is difficult for people. You don’t want to keep watching 1 hour episodes wondering if this shit will get good/stay good or go to shit
>netflix basedjak is overwhelmed
>There’s simply too much media today
You must be a child, because there was more media than we could watch, when we were kids in the 90s. It's literally never been a problem, because no one used to think they had to watch every show. There's thousands of shows that I don't care that I will never watch them.
There's been 1 show worth watching so far in 2022, and it's BCS.
>in the 90s
you had like 15 tv channels. in 2022 you have 500, you have 40 streaming services, you have youtube, youi have tiktok, and a million other servicces vying for your attention on platforms that didn't exist 30 years ago
w/e im gonna watch Gossip Girl for the 5th time and you'll have to deal with it
>THERE'S JUST NO ROOM TO LOOK AT ANYTHING THAT ISN'T MADE BY THE SAME TWO DOZEN HOLLYWOOD JEWS GODDAMNIT
>NPR
Reason number 1307 our country is fucked

To be fair there's too much wrestling for me to watch every week, so I ended up dropping every single TV show I was watching because most of them were either shit or went to complete shit and now I just watch endless hours of wrestling instead.
This
You’re wrong and have no real response, sad! There is exponentially more media and content today than the past and very little of it is actually artistic and valuable
Especially if it has an awful finale.
It's true. Even in terms of stuff worth watching, there's too much to keep up with though I agree modern stuff is generally bad, British studios are still churning out modern stuff that is worth watching especially their mysteries.
But the real reason is the vast backlog of stuff from past years worth watching/listening to. There's a huge backlog of radio drama from the golden age of radio, then a huge backlog of TV and movies from the '50s to '90s that are still good, but it depends on what your definition of worth is. I'm still looking for the old episodes of Sesame Street that have never been properly released and probably never will be due to music rights and will probably all be destroyed in a studio fire one day.
thank you for keeping us updated on reddit op
there's not nearly enough GOOD tv to consume. I preferred when I had 5 options and 4 of them were good. now we have 1000 options but 999 of them are shit.
Built for bgc
wrestling is like soap operas for men. i don't get the appeal.
we have overshot the limit
I only watch kweens.
by the mid 90's I had three hundred channels
There really are NPC bugmen who get upset they can't consoom everything advertised to them. How did we get to this point?
Too much slop for our stream piggies to gobble up they're getting nice and fat for slaughter
dude its 2022
get a new argument
There hasnt been a hit show since GOT ended
The problem is the good shows don't get the attention they deserve while they're airing, so Netflix or whoever cancels them before they have their chance to hit their peak. So everything just falls into this homogeneous pit of one season half baked shows.
For real, I feel like there's only been a handful of shows in the last decade that are actually good and worth watching. Guess I'll just rewatch Mad Men again
Zoomie retard has no idea that we had hundreds of channels in the 90s. There was already an overwhelming amount of garbage in the 90s. the 2020s having triple or quadruple the mount doesn't really change anything, because we already had too much to reasonably be expected to ever watch.
It's spelled "consume", retards.
Arguably GOT might've killed the hit show, the ending was so disappointing it might be hard for general audiences to get back into great long running television again.
Severance was great
From was ok but kinda shit the bed
There's been a few decent movies
It's definitely a slow period but I feel like the last year or two has been better than the year or two before that.
>turns 360° and walks away
I havnt watched tv in years.
There's too many movies/tv shows
There's too much anime
There's too much music
There's too many books
Yes. The modern world is the reign of quantity. we need less content
>Severance was great
That show is a little gold nugget in a landfill. I hope Apple TV will give us new quality shows, I fuck despise apple products but they've been pretty consistent so far in their streaming venture. It's almost like they don't care about apple plus making money because they're already so profitable.
>There's too many movies/tv shows that suck
>There's too much anime that suck
>There's too much music that suck
>There's too many books that suck
That's what the problem.
i didnt watch mad men until 2019 and thought 'wow its over now what else can i watch thats as good?'
nothing, the answer was nothing. i dont know why i browse this board, i hate most tv and film
There certainly is a lot of crap out there, especially on Netflix.
maybe making every some political was a bad idea?
I saw 'upcoming' on netflix and there was a trailer for something called 'human resources' and it was advertised as their next big exciting thing.
watched the trailer and unsubscribed.
For every mainstream show you are aware of, I would estimate there are thousands shows you're not aware of, and that's restricting it to current year AND productions in English. For instance, I haven't heard of the majority of Apple TV productions. Have you heard of Schmigadoon!? If I didn't see it mentioned here one time I wouldn't have.
For previous years, anywhere from '50s to '90s, the ratio of TV shows you haven't heard of versus those you have becomes even more exaggerated. I would estimate for every show you've heard of from each past decade, there are upwards of 5000 to 10000 shows you haven't heard of (us/uk/can/aus/nz). For instance have you ever heard of Promised Land (1996, Touched by an Angel spinoff)? Or Jennifer Elept Here (1983)?
Just the usual money-grubbing execs with no creative talent and blinded by dollar signs in their eyes. We ended the 2000s with mega hits like Lost, Sopranos and Breaking Bad and it was grimly predictable that every miserable hack in an overpriced suit would flood the market chasing that success. We have finally reached the crash. Netflix is the first, possibly of many, to sink.
Literally what is worth watching right now?
Yep. I think only Disney plus and HBO max will make it out of this alive, everyone else has fucking lost the plot.
Netflix show=network show
There's literally nothing distinguishing them currently. Gone are the days of House of cards
> Netflix cancels good show
> Netflix

Apple is unironically the best streaming service in terms of original content right now
Severance is great
See is pretty dumb but can be fun
There's one other too but I forget at the moment
It's not like this is a massive library but it still mogs any other service
(not that I pay for services anyway, kek)
literally anything good that's ever been on TV that you haven't seen yet.
Good shows need time to develop, imagine if they had canceled TNG after the disastrous first season. Streaming services just don't fucking get it.
Not only did we have 100-500 channels in the 90s, you also had a limited window in which to watch them. In short, you are aoomer retard
I liked "For All Mankind" Cool alternate universe stuff, season 3 has a teaser now
I want the government to tell me what I can and can't watch. I'm a leftist.
that's what I was thinking of
Yeah it's okay
Although the lesbian diversity drama really gets in the way of my russia-us moon war
