the x-men origins unfinished workprint? It's been on torrent sites since 2009, but the torrents dont seem to work.

>Origins is literally 13 years old
bros...

took me three seconds

Why didn't they use the props for that scene? He never stops making a fist anyway, so him holding the real claw props would work there so well. Why make really fake looking claws running at a lower framerate than everything else for a close up shot??

It’s so odd, because the claws from the early 2000s x men movies still look good. For some reason they decided to switch to shitty CGI

>that once scene where the guy teleports behind Wolverine

damn dog he went into battle with only bad CG to assist him, thank god those guards all died of covid at the same time while he was doing his flip move

Unironically my favorite character in the movie

Origins? It's not really different outside of having unfinished SFX

Yeah the unfinished SFX are the reason to see it. They make scenes in an already crummy and dumb movie hilarious.

Th reason why it looks like this is fucking bizarre too. It's in the behind the scenes material. They actually filmed this scene on a beautiful outdoor location, but Jackson thought it was too overcast compared to when they had photographed the place while location scouting. So he literally surrounded them with green screens so he could add the backgrounds from the photos in post.

And the result is a fakeass looking scene. Well done.

Quick summary on the differences?

Man I remember watching some cast member of the lotr movies talking about how keen jackson was in doing as much as he could in cg and what a bad idea it would be. Well I guess he hasn't learned from the hobbit series

It's a leaked work in progress cut, tons of unfinished effects and shit. It is probably the only way to enjoy that shit movie.

This has to be from the notorious leaked workprint.. Pls tell me it is

I never saw the final version tho

>I never saw the final version tho
Same

Almost all the special effects in the film were unfinished.

OP's clip is absolutely one hundred percent from the final finished film

Lol the intro feels like an even bigger shitpost

wtf is this real?

Hackson

wtf is this real?

unfinished cgi and alternate credits scene.

>the incredibly stiff prop cat in some of the shots

>For some reason they decided to switch to shitty CGI

Probably because of liability concerns. They don't want actors to accidentally cut themselves.

But he has practical props for his bone claws before that

>NANOMACHINES SON, HARDEN ON IMPACT TO PHYSICAL TRAUMA

lmao what? Prop blades arent sharp idiot

Not even the worst CGI in the movie. De aged Patrick Stewart and the shot of the mutants running to the helicopter was worse. Everything looked so fake

thanks to the producers he wasn't allowed to have an opinion on the first film

Christ user

imagine grey low res cgi figures and wires from harnesses etc

Yeah nobody's been killed by a prop before right

So the actual reason they are CG here is because they had an idea that they were brand new claws he just got in the previous scene and they should have this gleaming sheen or something. The execution was clearly appalling but that was the idea.

man TWD got so cheap after season 2

a blank shooting gun is still a gun
a prop blade is just a steel stick

Might be a little overlap on the later webms, but I finally just organized the ones I had saved.

optic blasts can't melt adamantium claws

glad to see i wasnt the only one who watched this shit years ago

I saw a workprint screening of the Dark Tower like a year or two before it came out. It looked exactly like this if not worse. Really shitty CGI and there was even a fight scene that mixed live action with storyboard art. The theater erupted into laughter. Some producers were there too. I kinda felt bad for them as obviously that wasn't the reaction they were going for but what do they expect? Was a dogshit movie anyways. Never ended up seeing the final cut.

The idea is pretty retarded too though, aren't those things inside of him?

SOVL

This is just a Bollywood film

Still doesn't explain why they didn't go practical
