Cumberbatch lucked out in that he gets to wear cool cloaks and act with enough actual sets as his flicks are about magicians, so you need the old books, staircases, etc. Whereas others are stuck with only green screens.
It seems so. They can't stretch it much longer, so another decade with 3-4 FF flicks and a slew of X-Men stuff, all building up to the big multiversal clash makes sense. In the DS2 post-credits scene they have Theron playing Clea namedrop the Incursions, which were the reason why the 2015 Secret Wars happened. It's the most logical scenario.

Strange is a needed part too so he'll stick around till the end and make massive bank for Cumberbatch.

Then Spider-Man joins the FF in Future Foundation or something and then shit hits the fan with the Secret Wars/Incursions.
