A bunch of 12 year olds takes down an entire empire

>a bunch of 12 year olds takes down an entire empire

that's why korra is the far superior series

They had the successor to the empire on their side, they didn't take it down they committed a coup detat.

the avatar isnt just a 12 year old though, and the rest of the main cast are in their teens too

Wow, cool. What are you going to do when you're 12, OP?

yeah that's basically the point of the avatars
a superman to keep the nation in check

That happens more or less in star wars and the lord of the rings too

? The fire nation never lost. The senile leader only got replaced by his son.

It's actually better than Star Wars

Based

>Star Wars
A teenager with space magic saves the galaxy
>The Lord of the Rings
Two midgets save the world
>Star Trek
Is better than all of the above. Applies to Enterprise and previous entries only.

>on par with
It's better actually.

>Star Wars, Trek and Lord of the Rings!

wow, what high-level literary examples

I loved how completely overwhelmed Ozai was by the end of that fight. That shot of Aang using every single element and breathing fire was great.

Isn't one of those 12 year old like god or something? Also those 12 year old got help from lots of people.

Superior brain dead take

>that say this is on par with Star Wars
hue

They actually went full OSS

>Star Trek
They make a bullshit macguffin every episode, it’s like macguyver

You're ignoring the army that went with them and he was OP controlling 4 elements at once plus the founder of metal bending who was also OP

Also Ozai wasn't at his prime,.he was mad with power, same with his dumbass daughter who was also insane so they were probably schizos

>a bunch of 12 year olds takes down an entire empire
Happened in real life, why wouldn't it happen in fiction?

The show is massively overrated but the Star Wars Empire fell to a teenager, an elderly man with a respirator and a bunch teddy bears throwing rocks. The LOTR empire fell to a couple of midgets.

>Also Ozai wasn't at his prime
Dude. Sozin's COmet supercharged all of the firebenders. Ozai was undoutedly at the peak of his power at that time. Same with Azula, and Zuko, incidentally.

>group of old, powerful masters liberates the biggest occupied city
>the emperor’s formerly disgraced son reclaims the throne while his father is away, committing genocide
>the 12 year old demigod, whose job it is to maintain balance in the world, defeats the emperor

Seems okay to me.

The sidecast of Korra is fucking awful compared to A:TLA.
And Korra sure got her shit pushed in but she never seems to grow for it, at least she is smoking hot.

Why didn't Aang just airbend the air out of Ozai's lungs until his lungs collapsed?

>The show is massively overrated

maybe, but still probably the least overrated IP to emerge in the last 20 years.

Korra's problems are all explained by how the showrunners thought they were only getting 1 season... and then that they were only getting 2 seasons.

if they'd thought they might get another 3-4 season of 20 episodes each they would have hired a writing staff and developed all the characters more instead of burning their best villain in the first 10 episodes.

I'd have hated Korra less if it only got 1 season.

Didnt have enough feet.

>>a bunch of 12 year olds takes down an entire empire

Aang is OP as fuck, that's the whole point of the avatar state

Yeah, you're completely right. I'm still iffy on the setting, it doesn't feel like a natural progression from A:TLA.
this

He didn't want to kill him but sucking air out of someone's lungs does happen in Korra

I think I forgot 90% of Korra and I'm all better for it.

I sort of liked the setting, not gonna lie.
That being said, it would make more sense if Avatar's world was a feudal-China-tier in regards to technology because of it being ruled by degenerate monarchies, and after topping of that being more open to technical progress.
Kinda like most of Russia was during the imperial times.

>a bunch of hippie manlets takes down an entire evil empire

>tfw no waterbender gf who can semenbend your cum to forcefully edge you for hours on end
One shot at life...

Not by any means.

37??

>I have a contrarian opinion BECAUSE I JUST DO OKAY???
Grow up.

zuko is made for azula

Not everyone loves the shoes that you watched when you were an impressionable kid. I bet you legitimately defend the shitty justice league cartoon. Catering to idiots like you ruined the animation industry.

3 teenagers taking down the fleet of airships is the only stretch, you'd think the genocide fleet would be a higher priority than liberating Ba Sing Se which didn't really accomplish anything anyway because Zuko would soon have control of all its forces anyway and they're not especially more loyal to Ozai than any other Fire Nation army.

iirc Aang was 116 years old when he fought against the fire nation

>Not everyone loves the shoes that you watched when you were an impressionable kid
And not everyone is gonna agree with you that it's overrated. It's a relative thing.

In star wars a 17 year old defeats the galactic empire, not much different. Both are shit mind you.

The fucking irony. People just ignore the massive flaws of the show out of nostalgia. It's good, just nowhere near well written enough to justify the praise it gets.

If they did it wouldn't be overrated would it.

>People just ignore the massive flaws of the show
Such as?

>Star Wars, Trek and Lord of the Rings
It's better actually. For one it has hot lolis and bitches.

Correct.

Attached: chadkorra.jpg (2518x1024, 1.57M)

>the massive flaws
list 3,039,712 of them

>3 teenagers taking down the fleet of airships is the only stretch
True. And it’s more reasonable that Toph, surrounded by metal, could take over a ship, but how the hell did Suki manage it?

>For one it has hot lolis and bitches.

Attached: 1462137250587.jpg (1024x576, 51.01K)

Star Wars is boomer shit, Trek is for giga autists. LOTR and ATLA are actually good though. But Avatar is superior because of Avatar has booba, feet, lolis, MILFs and all kinds of crazy bitches. The show might as well have been written by coomers. And that's a good thing.

this is boring, lets argue which nation had the hottest women

airbenders

>doesn't hesitate to kill anyone
Who does she kill? Only one I remember is Unalaq and she even saves Kuvira during their fight

Again? How are people still asking that question 20 years later while insisting it's not overrated?
How about the fact that the entire book 3 is extremely dramatic over Aang having to make compromises, which he ultimately never has to. If he wants to get the Avatar State back he needs to let go of Katara. He doesn't but he gets the Avatar State back in the final fight through sheer luck because it wouldn't be as cool if he didn't. And it's the same shit with the show stringing along "will Aang have to renounce his pacifism to stop Ozai" for like 3 episodes, only for him to get bailed out with no effort or sacrifice on his part by energy bending. That is some seriously bad writing, setting up dilemmas and bailing out to let the character have his cake and eat it too.
>inb4 copes for why these flaws should be ignored

In Legend of Korra, Zuko says reviving the Air Nation was Aang's biggest dream. Then why didn't he fuck the female air acolytes to literally give birth to the next generation of airbenders? He could pump out several airbenders a week

>Blocks your path
I'm sorry user but water tribe gf is simply unbeatable. ALL their women are pure sex.

Attached: 1481750502114.jpg (820x820, 223.5K)

>confirmed to have no arrow tattoo on penis

counterpoint: you gay as hell. what do you even like old man, shit wars?

Fire, thats not even up for discussion.

>Who does she kill? Only one I remember is Unalaq and she even saves Kuvira during their fight
She only saved Kuvira so she could join her dyke harem later.

The ending is shit in every perspective, even if we ignore the asspull, realistically taking down Ozai wouldn't change anything.
I mean, take a look at what happened to the countries where USA deposed the government and installed a "democratic" government, you get the Taliban and ISIS.

Overthrowing a government is only a temporary fix, which will just stem more extremism... The overthrow of the government must come from the inside, which is why Aang should have convinced Fire Nation to turn on Ozai (which is some episodes of season 3 hint) and let them overthrow Ozai themself. The avatar is supposed to be a mediator, not the world police.

Realistically, the Fire Nation would be full of Ozai-minded extreme nationalists, who hate Zuko and Aang. These people wouldn't stop, they would just assassinate Aang and Zuko, install Ozai's closest cousin, and continue where Ozai left off.

>He gets the deus ex machina power so he can solve his problem without hurting anyone
the ending was ebola

>star wars
well, thats not hard
>lotr
yeah you're strawmanning right there. never heard anyone say that. the series is great and theres nothing you can do about it.
8/10 bait, ngl

until you piss her off and she water bends the semen in your urethra and forces you to edge until she gets bored
