>The people of a galaxy send a young woman to seek out warriors from other planets to help them from the tyrannical armies that are terrorizing their peaceful colony. ... >Originally developed to be a Star Wars stand-alone movie, Rebel Moon will now be a completely original movie in a universe created by Zack Snyder. >Rebel Moon would be a two part film, with both parts being shot back-to-back
How bad is it going to be? The premise sounds retarded, the connection to Star Wars doesn't do it any good. A And the name is misleading. When i heard the name "Rebel Moon" my immediate thought was: Are they making a movie based on "The Moon Is A Harsh Mistress" novel? So cool!", but nope, it seems like its just another schlock plot about galactic heroes. How will Snyderfaggs ever recover when this turd inevitably flops
Snyder does well on streaming. So its a win for Snyder cultists
Nathan Sullivan
>How kino is it going to be? ftfy And too kino
Mason Mitchell
are black people gonna be the rebels? Will their leader be some black or latino woman with dreads on her head? Will enemies be evil zombie-nazis who die easily to black rebel fighters?
Zachary Jenkins
>realizes Star Wars was inspired by samurai movies >comes up with the genius idea of Seven Samurai meets Star Wars >gets rejected because it's low imagination shit >just does a generic sci-fi version himself Snyder might be the biggest hack in cinema history.
Noah Bailey
>Seven Samurai in space that would be cool, but i doubt Snyder and these writers can make the caracters and dialogies believable. Snyder made Army of the Dead. Do you remember any character from that movie? (if you watched it) Test yourself, but don't be too harsh on yourself. Its not your fault if your memory reads zero. Its the fault of Zack Snyder and how shitty he writes characters, non of them have any personality or ark or intresting enough that you start to wonder.
Now imagine Army of the Dead - but in space! Just change of scenery, more CGI unrealistic giant planets in the sky background, yet everything on set is boring and the color of shit. Different setting, but if the hack is involved, its going to be shit.
But redoing the original movie plots with new cast is brilliant imagination?
Jackson Gomez
>Snyder might be the biggest hack in cinema history. BASED SNYDER remaking BATTLE BEYOND THE STARS like a FUCKING KING
Angel Miller
His zombie movie sucked
Zachary Barnes
>>The people of a galaxy send a young woman OH NO NO NO NO NO NO NO SNYDERSISTERS
Jonathan Wilson
the first one is just Hidden Fortress meets space lasers, it´s not like Star Wars ever was some shining example of storytelling, just had good worldbuilding and likeable characters in established stories.
Isaiah Green
depends how diverse the cast is
Noah Thomas
it's gonna suck. bad. zack is shit at writing.
Leo Hughes
it feels like I've watched ten animes with this plot
It's premise seemed like it'd be fun but everything I saw of it looked awful
Jeremiah Perry
hes pretty good, also in constantine other than the lady from the new mummy movie I dont recognise anyone might be decent
Michael Walker
Sofia Boutella is the young man that will go from planet to planet seek brave warriors and apparently she'll be fucking the white guy in the cast, Charlie Hunnam.
If you havent seen it, i promise you it's much worse, it looks like a 10 mil B movie from a first time woman student director.
(I love his JL movies btw)
I for one have zero hope for this Moon movie, netflix and big budgets = crap.
Noah Reyes
Zack Snyder is playing with the idea that each planet will house a different race, which is a pretty racist because you're basically setting up the galaxy to be segregated into different planet colonies - one planet of only Asians, one planet of only Africans, and so on.
Imagine he pulls a Black Panther with the African planet, making it a planet with people still living in huts.
Jonathan Jones
OK, Sofía Nutella and Mbappe are in.
Cooper Walker
So it´s Seven Samurai Jacks?
James Ross
It was terrible. I think he just made it to try out some niche camera lenses he wanted to experiment with and show he could bring in a project on time and under budget after the Justice League fiasco.
Army Of Thieves was actually ok, though he did not direct it.
Isaac Walker
That's almost Guy Ritchie's King Arthur movie's cast.
The whole Snydercut nonsense is what restored his career. Netflix paid big, BIG MONEY for a 2 year exclusive contract and apparently studios are fighting over him.
Gabriel Cook
>Zack Snyder is playing with the idea that each planet will house a different race, which is a pretty racist Lmfao do you really think the rest of earth will tollerate Indians much longer? Do you really think China won't annex Africa?
Isaac Clark
Actually, the black guys are mostly villains. Djimon is playing a ruthless and cruel general.
William Russell
>How bad is it going to be?
"directed by Zack Snyder"
Cooper Morales
>"directed by Zack Snyder" So pretty fucking awesome, you are saying?
Colton Thompson
lmao
Gabriel Brown
anyone remembers Sucker Punch and how it sucked? it had some short segments, never developed pieces of stories just for the background for meaningless fights Imagine this Rebel Moon is going to be the same. Nothing is going to be developed, just lots of shit for you to fill in with your imagination
not him, but this seems more like a classic western/samurai picture anime seems to focus more an the struggle and growth of one (main) characters, or at least the ones I watched or they are sprawling epics disconnected from small scale involvements
Jaxson White
Why do amerigoids hate Snyder so much?
Isaac Torres
I feel like Zack Snyder could be a decent director if he didn't insist on also being his own screenwriter.
Gabriel Sanchez
so, a anti-Lucas? imagine that pairing
Levi Gonzalez
I'd pillage and kill to get something remotely close to Sucker punch in 2020s
More like >Gets rejected because cartoons already did it.
Carson Gomez
Snyder movies have some of the worst looking visual I can think of. It is not just bad cgi, his taste in art direction is terrible.
Noah Torres
Someone post the Bautista webm from his army of the dead movie, you know which one I’m taking about
Jaxson Martinez
Who says it was rejected?
Rebel Moon script was almost a go. This was back when George Lucas still owned Lucasfilm. Lucas and Snyder were going to create together the new Star Wars trilogy, but at the time Snyder had just accepted working on Man of Steel for Christopher Nolan. That eventually lead to BvS and JL. It took too much time. Lucas couldn't sit on his ass and just wait.
Why people post about shit they have no knowledge about with so much certainty and disdain?
Asher Gutierrez
>Snyder movies have some of the worst looking visual I can think of You'd be alone in thinking that.
Wyatt Myers
she isnt mulatto she's Algerian. the beauty is she's mannish enough to look Latinx or mulatto, maybe even a biracial tranny.
Daniel Wilson
while Army of the Dead was bad, Snyder's on the nose music choices are not a bad thing, there is no reason to hide your intent behind music whose meaning is ambigious, especially in relation to what you are seeing on screen. One of the things I love about Snyder is his earnestness and how he will use every element (framing, story allusion or callback, color grading, music choice, etc.) to help tell the story.
This idea that obscure and obtuse = good (or even better) is cancer. Some directors can make it worrk, but it is not a universal truth.
Ian Lewis
>never developed pieces of stories just for the background for meaningless fights
ESL niggers need to be shot, just learn English you fucking idiot
Noah White
All I know is that Sofia Boutella is in. And that's all I care.
