holy fUUUUUUUUccckkk man backrooms deadass scary bruh... imagine siren head in there fr
deadass?
Well, in case you dont know, the guy that directed the last Tron film gor shortlisted to direct a feature because of his storytelling (architectural) renders on a forum and youtube, and now is this guy and these short films which will have the same deal. Lets hope.
a-are those inverted roadsigns? AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
The back rooms does have context and kind of lore behind it. I will explain the basics. Basically it is a place between nothing and reality. The way you get there is by randomly no clipping out of reality. No really, you actually have to no-clip out of reality. There are many floors to the back rooms starting with the most iconic one, floor zero. Floor zero is the one with the yellow wallpaper and buzzing lights. The floors usually look different and have different chances of likeliness for entity’s to spawn. There are many entity’s in the back rooms such as the ones Kane Pixels showed in this vid. But yeah that’s the main gist. Oh and if you go there and someone else goes there it’s not like you will see eachother
Stop posting this.
i think this is pretty cool, dont know why it's trendy to hate it
I don't like the levels idea. It becomes more like an SCP than a true mystery. I just like the idea of a place that is like the infinite lobby of our server, and when you glitch out, you end up there. No further explanation.
Undoubtedly, this is the most amazing depiction of The Backrooms. These nine minutes of video manage to capture that fear of liminal spaces and the unknown so well and create an astonishing sense of dread - all without cheap cliches, poorly executed jump scares and overly dramatic music. Rarely have I experienced such sensations from big companies and productions in my day; instead, the small and independent creations are always the ones that deliver, the ones that understand the true essence of horror. Of course, this one is by no means the first project to depict The Backrooms in some way or other, but it is certainly the most nerve-wrecking I have witnessed thus far. I would rather pay full price for nine minutes of such quality than an hour or two of absolute rubbish.
This was breathtaking. The most realistic one yet, the humans out of their suits probably helped. Also for those saying that that was a different creature than the bacteria… no. There’s too many similarities, and this takes place only a year before the original Found Footage, so it might have changed a bit. We have learned though, that the creature CAN copy the noises of its victims, and it also wasn’t really moving around until the cameraman made a subtle movement and loud noise, further adding to the theory that a bacteria could be possessing the cameras. All in all amazing episode, I have so many more theories! Amazing that this felt almost like a short film, would love to see more long videos as they’re well worth the wait time!
Just lets hope that this time the creator of this content gets it somehow protected so it wont end as the shitfest of the Slenderman movie.
Pure shit. /x/'s worst mistake
Worst one yet
no recall or intervention can work in that place, there is no escape
so, its some kind of bacteria that makes the rooms, but has no idea of how the places should look, and just randomly repeat patterns over and over?
Sounds like horror midichlorians.
where are people getting this bacteria theory from?
The creatures or S-38s [I call em that] have different types level one has S-38-1 while for this level the S-38 is kinda dangerous because it can mimic things meaning this is a S-38-4 anything higher than 3 is dangerous if there's already a creature with the same danger level like S-38-6 you can add another number to it after the danger level like this S-38-6-1there are more S creatures than you think we are only seeing the first type of creatures thank you for your time.
I remember discussing this concept on /x/ in 2014. where the fuck did we go so wrong?
Zoomers
>its bad because...it just is, okay?
What's the hate for, really well done videos on what I assume to be a very small budget.
>zoomer faggot shilling his garbage everywhere and bankrolled by his parents
Probably jewish too. Fuck off
the cgi is really fucking terrible for 2022
>What's the hate for
Contrarians
lets see your short film
Leave him, he's gone.
Yaaaaaaawn
It's because you're shilling your videos with the subtlety of a baboon. No one cares you're a kid. At this point it's becoming obvious.
deadass just shows liminal space uncanny fr fr :skullemoji: :cryingemoji: he ate that no cap
cringe
you can make backroom videos in 30mins once you know how to use blender (program), it does everything for you. look up how theyre done. you create one wall and just copy paste or edit it. its really souless desu.
wouldn't call it shit, Kanes videos have been the only thing that isn't autistic low effect zoomer meme horror. The dude probably single-handedly revived the 'backrooms' from being killed off by zoomers at the time.
>/x/'s worst mistake
pretty much, the threads were just littered with low effort pictures like the following link youtube.com
seethe and cope
OP here, i'm not the guy who made this, i just saw it on /x/ and posted it here because i know it makes you guys seethe for some reason.
youtube link to those renders?
can't really create mystery if that's all it is.
>Omg empty rooms and corridors! Where are all the people on their IPhones?! I literally can't even!
Zoomer horror is so cringe
No one believes you.
t. zoomer
You know, for a place thats supposed to be literally hell, there sure are a lot of things to do.
the guy with the briefcase is the GMan from half life
I wonder if there'll ever be a killing associated with the backrooms like those slenderman girls. Maybe some zoomer will find an empty office building and kill himself in there trying to noclip
The moment it gets explained it will lose the 'magic'. That is why is scary.
there is wifi in the backrooms according to lore
If it's Hell then where is the devil
oh boy i can't wait to hear Game Theorys video on this
>the backrooms
>liminal spaces
Name me three things actually wrong with either the backrooms or liminal spaces as a horror concept
Are the backrooms just the cube without the deadly traps
Speak for yourself tryhard
This concept works in something like House of Leaves because the labyrinth is just a way to explore a deeper issue with the character or a symbolic representation of real world problems. These zoomer back rooms and other teen/college kid created internet spoopy stuff are garbage because they don't represent anything, they're just spook house nonsense with no rhyme reason or logic, all style no substance. It's big mouth screaming ghost tier garbage in a different package, instead of the abandoned house, you have backrooms, instead of the big mouthed ghost, you have a monster.
We're never going to have actually scary movies/television ever again because nonsense like this gets popular and takes over.
what was going on towards the end where the voices seemed to be desynced?
Its Basically yuo get when you're trapped in there for several stages, and each stage gets worse and more terrifying. Yzou noclip and Basically you're in the backrooms now.
>with no rhyme reason or logic
Isn't that whats supposed to make the backrooms scary fundamentally? Some really weird spooky shit happening to you that you can't possibly understand how or why
It is super old, like from the 2000s. Kosinski used to have an user in a forum where he posted his rendered things, like the giant combine harvester or the pov videos, or his gigs.
I got this one from memory: "Desert H2Ouse"
ummmm...i hate that people like it?
A shitty short movie concept
its one guy whos like 16 lol and no its really good
DAILY REMINDER THAT THERE'S NOTHING NEW OR INNOVATIVE ABOUT FOUND FOOTAGE
STOP GETTING MAD AT YOUTUBE VIDEOS
t. 30 year old boomer
sheeeesh had me bussin fr
Yea Forums is a place that hates people doing anything. You have to convey a sense of superiority, and not caring, while putting JUST the right amount of effort into your OC. This goes back to the old days of MS paint comics, where you could tell the person behind them has some skill, or ability, but they didn't put THAT much time into it. That'd imply caring, or trying. The ultimate distillation of this are Pepe and Wojak edits.
Its similar to when you go cave exploring in minecraft far away the level seed origin, or when forcing out of bounds of another games levels.
SCP ripoff #3424324 is basically the same level of creativity as pepe, yeah
lets see your creative work
>BRUH ROOMS WITH NO FURNITURE!!! SCARY AS SHIT FR!!!
Are you confused? Are you under the impression that I'm spamming some shitty art project on Yea Forums? You retarded fucking plasticbrained zoomfaggot
daily reminder that people responding negatively to this are literal npc conformists and cant even come up with an original way to shit on it
It's an over-arching issue with many collaborative internet scary stories, they don't have longevity because they're supposed to be a freaky, possibly real concept that gets expanded upon on an imageboard or a forum, but little else.
There are several people doing rehashes of the backrooms creepypasta, but less of a handful doing competent storytelling and direction.
i'm guessing you have none?
maybe watch more porn, i'm sure that'll help you do something with your life
It's not scary
No. We already have that with the universe we're actually living in. Liminal/dream logic spaces are inherently interesting for about 5 minutes which is why they always have to add a monster in there because after a few minutes of discordant architecture and senseless exploring the creeping notion of "so what" begins to creep in. Okay, there are these video game no logic rooms around the borders of reality with nothing in them and sometimes people glitch into them. So what? They walk around for a few days and starve to death. So what? That's why people have to add monsters to it because the concept itself is uninteresting and people rapidly become bored with even the most fantastical situations.
It's like your grandpa dies and while cleaning out his house you find a hidden box full of hundreds of pictures, and looking at the first few you realize they're all photos of mutilated dead people. For the first dozen or so you might be horrified or revolted, but at around 40 or 50 or 100 you just start getting bored.
You're a dullard if a bunch of empty badly designed video game rooms that might contain a spoopy monster is enough to interest you. Unfortunately statistically speaking most people are dullards which is why shit like this gets so popular.
Fucking Hell is this shit. I weep knowing this is all """"smart""" horror will become, soon. Pure garbage.
There is nothing “horror” about the backrooms. This is coming from a fellow zoomer. Go back to Twitter, dweeb
NPC conformist opinion
>We already have that with the universe we're actually living in
>He doesn't understand every single aspect of our universe
check out this brainlet
My films are long, ask your mom
i'm 31 years old and i think it's scary. maybe one day i'll be a big boy like you and not need a nightlight.
interesting how no one shits as hard on hollywood trash as they do on someone's indie project
i really dont get it
is it jealousy?
Quick rundown.
Some autistic sperg on /x/ came up with a 1-2 sentence horror story that basically says ''guys what if when you are noclipping you accidentally end up in empty rooms and maybe there's a monster there.''
This dogshit story about noclipping went viral and spawned dozens of communities, games and youtube channels. There are people who have become millionaires talking about the stupid /x/ post.
This is one of the youtube channels and it's massively popular. All steming from some retarded faggot from /x/ who talks about noclipping through walls because in his autistic manchild brain he can't make a distinction between real life and video games.
How is it scary? What, are you afraid of shadows too????
Tell me what's scary about it.
>ON GOD BRUH THST SHIT SUS FR FR
It's not supposed to be scary, you single digit iq nigger.
you dont know how to get out, or what could be in there. simple as. have you never been in a large empty unfamiliar building alone? i have, it's spooky. the paranormal element of being stuck there and it going on forever is extra spooky
