no, they were cyborgs
Communist cyborgs.
they were the concept of Machines dominating man rather than machines as tool used by man. they we'rent political. computer aren't political.
Ye
>wandered around aimlessly
>killed people for lulz
>took what they wanted
>slow
>lumbering
>utterly useless without someone to tell them what to do
>easily defeated by putting alternative ideas in their heads (the weird picture from I Borg, the drummer from Scott Pilgrim)
>ultimately became a horrible joke
>millions of idiots think they're cool
I can see the parallels.
>everyone is equal
>no individuality or personal expression
>ugly utilitarian architecture
They were communists.
No, not at all. They all loved and cared about the collective. They weren't just going along to avoid getting shot in the head
kek
They were collectivists.
The Federation is a communist utopia, if anything BORG are a literal blueprint for fascism. is probably what i go with, not everything has to be /pol/acked.
Better question, is The Federation space communists? Or is it just a dumb meme spouted by the leftists?
Communism is collectivist.
I know.
thats because machines dont think like humans. they used humans as a tool. as part of the machine and machines are boring, they would just make cubes.
you're transposing human ideals onto machines when its the other way around. Like what if I got a car and then just transplted your head into the car and made it so your eyes touch were connected to the car to make it move and that seemed like a fair thing to do because as a machine it makes sense to connect the moving parts to the other moving parts to make the thing move.
The Federation is just post-scarcity, under the federation you could still own things and have private property. Examples like:
>Sisko's dad owning a restaurant
>Kirk owning his own house
>Picard's family owning a vineyard
The point of communism is to take the being out of human being.
Absolutely.
It’s a dumb meme spouted by leftists. Roddenberry was focused on making science fiction. Now that’s its corpse has been dug up for new writers to rape and piss on you have a whole new fandom of normally not happy people who like the power of crying like a baby. The laziest, ugliest, dumbest, most selfish types who rightly got their nasty little asses beat and ostracized for being miserable Debbie-downer ME ME ME shits in middle school are now in the spotlight, and nobody likes it.
That's not the point of communism. And I'm not going to debate communism here this is Yea Forums and /trek/ not /pol/ go there if you want to do that. communism is a purely human ideal that some humans benefit from.
I do like the concept of ''taking the being out of human being''' and that is a good analogy for what the BORG do.
However, what I will say again, is that The Machines that dominated the BORG collective are basically just Corrupted AI. a Cancer that eats away at Humanity and replaces it with metal.
Definitely not.
Space Muslims worship cube. You ever seen a Muslim glitch out when they lose direction and don’t know which way Mecca is?
>thats because machines dont think like humans. they used humans as a tool. as part of the machine and machines are boring, they would just make cubes.
The living machines that took the Voyager probe and turned it into V'Ger in TMP didn't wrap it around cubes and opted for starfish and other organic-mechanical designs instead. And the Borg are by all means much more primitive than those living machines as V'Ger could destroy 3 Klingon warships without breaking a sweat and the Earth and perform other miracles the Borg could never do.
They’re more like the Federation gone wrong.
Were their origins ever revealed?
Ah yes the famously anti communist star trek
That's one thing I never quite understood, is there still money? Who decides how big your house/apartment is? How is it decided where you live?
>The living machines that took the Voyager probe and turned it into V'Ger
maybe, but there's a lot of theories about that.
It’s more likely than you think.
or the origins of the Q
In DS9 they had transporter credits and latinum, it could be something like that. Sisko's dad said something like "I don't like peeling potatoes all day" surely he's not just doing it for "self-improvement."
are andorian lezzies communists?
I hate talking about this shit with you guys because a lot of you don't even know what surplus value is, and then you think you know everything about Communism and Marxism. Like if the Borg are Communists then who is the bourgeoisie in this situation? What kind of labor is being performed in Star Trek that leads to people needing the Borg to be free them from being exploitation?
Donald Trump is now Star Trek canon thanks to Strange New Worlds.
>Goldsman also wants the viewer to know that he’s doing political allegory, with an explanation point. It’s initially quite unsubtle, using actual January 6th footage to make a point about societal divisions.

>What kind of labor is being performed in Star Trek that leads to people needing the Borg to free them from being exploited?
I need an editor.
Elaborate please.
The bourgeoisie is everyone else, obviously.
that the final form of the BORG the perfection is that they exist across all universe and dimensions and the entirety of all the universe and that at that point when they've assimilated literally everything in every universe they became the Q . And that's what the Q are.
Why do trannies support socialism when in all the cases they were to first to be killed?
Wow, his hair use to not be grey. He looks like a villain there.
The Q are not a hive mind, are they?
sounds like asians to me
Asian communists.
>Were they space communists?
No space zombies
Do you have a better idea?
is there any other kind?
Japs
Honorary whites.
Are they? Q even says they are all Q and not the same, but also all Q.
The point is that the idea that the perfection the BORG seek is that homogeneous of mind and body which the Q is. The Q are separate but they are also one. Which they go into in VOY when Q tries to kill himself. And when they procreate for the first time.
The Q exist across all of space and time and dimension. And seemingly so do the BORG, the Queen in Picard is aware of multiple realities and dimensions and universes. shes a baby Q or more accurate shes is the evolutionary step the Q finally make to become whole as a species.
can you imagine how hard they had to hide all their pedophilia to get that title from hitler
Interesting.
are the murf commies?
Totally not a strawman
It's true.
I meant are there any communists that arent asians: russians chinese viets koreans etc
Fair enough.
uh, no that would be earth
WHAT'S WRONG WITH YOUR FAAAACEEEE
Yes
Stay in your containment thread.
make me geezer scum
Do you know what the definition of crazy is? Doing something over and over again and expecting a different result.

More like Anarcho-collectivists
>anarcho
How? They have a clear hierarchy.
Reminder that Russia was the last place Communism was supposed to happen. If you look at Marx's outline of dialectical materialism you need a developed capitalist country first for communism to actually succeed. Marx expected the first Communist revolution to happen in his adopted home of England where workers were being beaten and arrested for breaking looms.
Is there any place I can talk about this stuff with people who are actually knowledgeable about the subject?
>Star Trek: political bait
>/trek/: tripfag worship
It’s hard to tell which is worse.
I was going to tell you that no one cares about that kike faggot but you seem to already know that, try leftypol or wherever those mentally deficient retards have infested these days
Cartroon wars
After they brought in the Borg Queen maybe. Then they became mindless zombies controlled by the vampire queen. But the Borg collective is the shared collective thought of all Borg. No one tells them what to do except all Borg themselves.
kys
You’re doing this every day. Doesn’t it get tiresome?
>In a thread asking if the Borg are Communists
>stop talking about Marx nobody cares
Wow, wtf is your problem mate?
If the Borg are space commies does that make the Federation space fascists? Yes it does. Starfleet at the very least is.
