All ships got remodelled for S2. The phaser strip no longer has that Discovery-esque blue glow, and the hull detail is completely different. The Eaglemoss model was based on the inferior S1 version.

but that's how it was designed, the whole concept was that one ship against a cube could easily be destroyed and several ships would be still too larger as targets to effectively fight. So he designed small ships which would work as a mini fleet to try to overwhelm the cube with numbers and fire power.

my tactic in Star trek Armada. Build 1 galaxy class, or sovereign ....or build 30 Defiants class. The BORG never stood a chance. but you needed a few sovereign ships to do the big damage though. A wing of Akiras and Defiants were basically killer.
