Will a fight between Obi Wan and Darth Vader before a New Hope break the canon? how it could work? why Obi Wan let himself get killed on the Deathstar if he fight Vader three times?

>break the canon
>implying canon still has any meaning in 2022

Everything I like is canon. Everythingt I don't like isn't canon. Simple as.

Yes it would but I seriously doubt Disney cares

>Will a fight between Obi Wan and Darth Vader before a New Hope break the canon?

Yes

>how it could work?

It wouldn't. They'll do it anyway.

>why Obi Wan let himself get killed on the Deathstar if he fight Vader three times?

He wouldn't. But who gives a shit at this point?

Nu Wars canon has been already broken multiple times.

the whole reason disney bought star wars is so they can shit on the fanbase. there are still a couple of die hards left for them to piss off, i guess. i'm surprised they haven't talked about turning obi-wan into a tranny or something.

>obi is about to lose
>black inquisitor picks up his sword and defeats darth
>lol u still have a lot to learn darth
>yes indeed apparently I am still the learner for this particular fight

>Will a fight between Obi Wan and Darth Vader before a New Hope break the canon
like they give a fuck

Based. Sequels never happened.

FPBP

They really shouldn't. Simply because a new hope "a presence I've not felt since" shouldn't be taken as "well technically they could've fought after mustafar
But as others have said I wouldn't be surprised

This desu

>Will a fight between Obi Wan and Darth Vader before a New Hope break the canon?
Yes
>how it could work?
It won't
>why Obi Wan let himself get killed on the Deathstar if he fight Vader three times?
Because the Disney doesn't care

Why don't they let Obi Wan fight Maul?

a good question, for another time

he already did and kill maul for a second time

He could kill him again though.

Not a fan of Disney, but no, it won't break the lore as long as it doesn't happen on Tatooine. There's nothing in the dialogue in ANH that contradicts this, and it takes place 10 years prior, so whatever.

That said, it should have been Obi-Wan vs Maul. The fact that they wasted that on a cartoon tells me how little planning they did.

Oh, have you not heard? I thought everyone had heard.

>why Obi Wan let himself get killed on the Deathstar if he fight Vader three times?
i don't see a problem with this. he needed to be alive for luke until luke got to a certain power level he can see him as a ghost

He could force resurrect Maul, because he needs his help to find the great broom of the dark side, and they team up and fight negros together, until Maul betrays him and obi has to kill him with the broom.

I want all the villains to just keep coming back over and over. I even want Vader to come back and he's evil again and Luke has to beat him again but this time he's not redeemable. And that's why Luke became so jaded.

>no one's ever really gone

>I want all the villains to just keep coming back over and over.
sounds perfect

THIS. I want General Grievous back but this time he has 8 arms (Because we already had six in Boba) and after Obi Wan says "Hello There" he answers "General Kenobi! You are an old one.

It could be like loony tunes, each episode everything starts over anew with no continuity as to who got blown up or shot in the face with cannon last time.

Time to abandon thread

what the hell is that bracket, a hand grip? Mount for a grenade launcher?

>I want all the villains to just keep coming back over and over
Even Ventress?

I mean I would have been okay with 1 fight if it ended with Vader believing he killed Obi Wan. But now I hear they're doing 2, and one of them isn't even a dream sequence, and the fights end because they get broken up by stronk black wamen

>Some will say it’s shit no matter what
>Others will eat it up even if it’s shit
>A few will decide after viewing
Why do we even bother discussing this here if it’s always a handful of people shitting on something we haven’t seen? The ST is ass, but everything else has had some merit. It’s fiction. Canon is what you decide it is.

Dr Strange will break the multiverse which will affect Star Wars canon too.
Screencap this.

Not relevant as we are getting Obi-wan vs Anakin

SOVL
Soulless

This. Everything past 2008 doesn't exist to me, except for Plagueis.

>only a master of aids, queer.
What did he mean by this?

Very based. Fuck the Maultism this caused, though. He should have stayed dead.

Star Wars “canon” has been raped to death by so many authors at this point that it’s pretty much just a Greek myth where nothing is canon.

Kid, lemme tell you a secret. The Prequels broke the "canon" before Disney ever did.

Let's not kid ourselves, EU/Legends broke canon every other day. When you had to invented multiple tiers and change their rules once a year, you've gotten to comic levels of retardation.

A third of those were caused by TCW.

>forgetting about AOTC
>forgetting about TPM
>forgetting about Bounty Hunter
>forgetting about LOE
>forgetting about the games
Nah, majority was caused by EU writers trying to 1UP Lucas when he specially told them not to fuck with characters.

You're also forgetting about all the drama caused by Lucas explaining the function of the Sith.

Maybe the fight between them will be in some vision or in nightmare

It wouldn't damage anything either since Maul was very convinced that Obi-Wan had died before the vision in Rebels but there was no reason for him to believe that Obi-Wan had died in the first place, especially since Vader and the Empire were constantly looking for Obi-Wan.
Them having a fight and Obi-Wan seemingly dying in a fall or explosion, probably in a similar vein to how Maul went out in their first clash would've made sense.

Reminder that in RotJ Vader says to Luke "Obi Wan once thought as you do" in regards to Luke trying to turn him. Obi Wan does nothing but taunt and chastise Anakin on Mustafar. So there is actually a reason for Obi Wan and Vader to have this unseen interaction take place that ends in a duel. In order to match up with "when I left you I was but the learner now I am the master" it would have to take place relatively soon after Vader got the suit so he's still not the seasoned Vader by ANH. It would also help explain why Obi Wan still calls Anakin on Mustafar but then calls him Vader in ANH, he personally saw him reject his help to bring him back and possibly saw him do something evil in person. However this is NuLucasfilm and they're going to fuck it up somehow.

I like how UC Gundam does canon because its similar and you have more people who tell retards to fuck off when they try to say that some novel is more canon than the anime because of some details some chink made up about how amuro wasn't really the top ace of the one year war

Show is going to be trash either way.

Dangerously based and as a result only pre-2008 Star Wars is canon

He's probably just refering to Obi Wan's philosophy in general, that even though they never had the discussion, he knew how he felt about redemption in general.

Rey Skywalker is canon chud

the EU/legends stuff still felt consistent without pandering to social politics and agendas. theres a reason the multimedia stuff other than the movies helped the franchise become the top selling media empire before shitsney took over

Attached: jjj.png (878x142, 22.43K)

It's canon that her family helped murder all of the Skywalkers then steal their name. Also, she's now inhabited by her evil grandfather's spirit since he wanted her to strike him down and she did.

its rey skywalker palpatine solo to you

Ewan and Hayden are in it so I'm happy even if it's utter shit

>he wouldn’t…
Sure he would, if he knows it would fuel Luke, Vader’s son, to cement his position against the Empire fully.

Function?

>There's nothing in the dialogue in ANH that contradicts this
Fuck off fag.
>We meet again at last. When I left you, I was but the learner. Now I am the master.

star wars is a single stand alone film released in 1977
