Looks like shit
Krasinskibros?
cameo like cruise made sense because hes the one supposed to be ironman before rdj but why john krasinski and not ioan gruffudd
>why john krasinski
He's been eternally fan cast and yapped on about himself, much like how Cumberbatch was before being officially cast as Strange. I suppose no Gruffudd cause they figure Patrick Stewart is enough and don't want to blow their load as the multiverse thing is their new hook. Their next EG-tier even movie will basically be the MCU lot teaming up with all the pre-Iron Man continuities from different universes, so Fox Men, the old Fantastic Four with Gruffudd, etc., Bana's Hulk, and so on.
He will die lol, Wanda will kill him
why are so many replies in this thread the exact same as the replies in another thread about the same subject?
>this is just the start of this shit
Fuck man. I genuinely think audiences will burn out on this appealing to old film angle.
yeah what the fuck, some replies are word for word in the other tv thread and the co thread
No one asked for this motherfucka in the first place
feels like the kind of guy to push his way into places uninvited
so were really never gonna hit capeshit exhaustion are we?
im a 30 year old boomer who red marvel and image comics, collected marvel trading cards, consoomed all of their stuff and even I was over it after avengers 2
i just dont fucking get it
It's called shills they make these threads for marketing.
theyve drowned out the market so the only films we get are capeshit, franchiseshit and rebootshit. I hope the industry responds with regular comedies, dramas, thrillers etc. without even the slightest hint of anything supernatural in them.
Who is the black dude on the background?
It's too broad of a category. You can make basically any genre of film and turn it into capeshit. It's not like westerns where the themes and settings and characters are basically always the same.
Batman
>regular comedies, dramas, thrillers etc. without even the slightest hint of anything supernatural in them
they make these but exclusively about blacks and gays
>i just dont fucking get it
It's not that you don't get it, it's the end product that's honestly no good. These movies are crap and have no soul. They are pale imitations of older superhero films like 1978 Superman and 1989 Batman.
I don't know which is the worst for casting Kevin Feige or Zack Snyder
no one except millions of people on Reddit and Twitter lmao
yeah the "reddit" le quip style did get old after 2 films
>I hope the industry responds with regular comedies, dramas, thrillers etc. without even the slightest hint of anything supernatural in them.
They have been, for years.
What do you think all the straight to streaming movies are?
Regular comedies, dramas, thrilles, etc. relied on potential DVD sales to finance productions, and in the age of streaming where DVD sales are a fraction of what they were 20 years ago, all you're left with is said streaming services paying for the movies outright.
Cape/Franchise/Rebootshit isn't really the problem. It's just that those are the only ones that can actually make money anymore in the BO and anything else is incredibly risky. And in 2022, a lot of franchise/reboot shit is incredibly risky as well, hell even Capeshit is risky when it's not Marvel.
Guess all there is to do is watch foreignshit and oldshit, mabe arthouseshit and independentshit too
yeah I'm with you on the last two. I don't agree with the whole "blockbusters were better before they were genreshit" thing, most action movies were capeshit even if they had nothing to do with superheroes.
link?
There simply aren't that many of them though
youtube.com
Even if you dont wanna watch the vid all the references in the description explain it well
Netflix is dying now and prolly other streaming companies too
>we live in a timeline where fan renditions are now becoming a reality under the justification of multiverse bullshit
i'm not giving you a link, it was a widely known fancast since like 2015. is literally referencing it, just look up "John Krasinski as Reed Richards" into YT and filter out stuff from the past two years and you'll find videos of people asking for him to be cast and comment sections full of Pajeets and Mexicans cheering it on
>Netflix is dying now and prolly other streaming companies too
Netflix is literally the only streaming company out of the big 5 that is struggling.
D+ is thriving, HBOMax is thriving, Hulu is thriving, Amazon is thriving.
Netflix is fucked specifically because they relied on non-original content for so long because less than 1% of their original content drives subscriptions. It was a joke for years that Netflix was the Office Streaming Network and that wasn't far off from the truth.
The scale of the MCU makes all the old blockbusters look so quaint and comfy in comparison even if they were huge in their day. Capeshit action was a thing back then, but there was more variety in what to watch. You'd get a franchise/sequel, action movie, horror movie and comedy running concurrently. What big comedies have we had in the past 5 years? I've grown so sick of big studio movies these past few years I've just been watching from those 4 categories I listed above
Krasinski paid journalists and youtubers to make content saying "fans want him as reed" when there's no origin point for anyone saying that stuff anywhere. Pattinson did the same thing to get the batman role. It's simply not real
Pattinson was not a popular fancast, he got the role because Reeves was familiar with his indie movie performances and envisioned him in it. Then people were like "Oh yeah actually that could work" after it was announced.
And idk what to tell you about Krasinski, the dude has had a massive fanbase ever since the Office, how the fuck do you think Some Good News became a mega-brand?
oh yeah, I 100000% agree with you there. Everything struggles to break even and meanwhile No Way Home gets 2 billion. It's tiresome.
Unbearable Weight, Everything Everywhere, and Northman are all fantastic movies that are bombing extremely hard right now. It's depressing.
because he exploited having some celebrity during a global pandemic while everyone's stuck at home. there's no massive fanbase. dude's a charisma black hole... let me guess you think jack ryan: debt collector has a real audience
booohoooo nigga, everything other than capeshit is bombing right now because after the pandemic no one wants to go back to the theaters.
and because they know all that shit will be on streaming in 2-3 months anyway, so why bother?
I'm old enough to remember when Christian Bale did this sort of thing on the internet before he was cast in American Psycho and relaunched his career.
You are completely out of touch with reality.
check out the video linked here (or references in the description). it's not the only one saying these things
>Dr Doom shows up and begins monologuing about McGuffin device
>Opens case containing device
>It's suspended in jello
>Mr Fantastic looks directly into the camera and smirks
At least Zach Snyder had Watchmen, which was a near perfect casting job.
Feige has never scouted a great cast
it's Krasinskian.
>Gruffudd
Perfect casting.
It was rumored that Feige wanted Gordon-Levitt at some point, Jack Quaid could work, Hollywood loves nepotism.
Really should’ve gone with Cathy and cheated on Pam
>jack ryan: debt collector has a real audience
you don't understand how fucking dumb boomers are, they love this shit
>pale imitations of older superhero films like 1978 Superman and 1989 Batman.
Ironman 1, Batman Begins, Winter Soldier, the nu Spiderman trilogy, and Infinity War all have way more soul than the movies you listed. They're also far more entertaining movies to watch in my opinion
>Feige has never scouted a great cast
Robert Downey as Iron Man?
Cumberbatch as Doctor Strange?
Holland as Spiderman?
Chris Evans as Captain America?
Josh Brolin as Thanos?
Chris Hemsworth as Thor?
He's had some fantastic picks bro...
Krasinski should've been Cap America of that universe.
If you think about it, it makes sense. He literally tried to get casted and Thor's actor literally laughed at him and he got turbomad. Google that shit, it happened and it's sad as fuck
Why indeed
He's the only white American actor left
Dwight for Doom then
KINO
looking good, man
You have got to be kidding me right?
>winter solider
lol
This shit loos like a bunch of cosplayers not a 200m movie
>nu Spiderman trilogy
homecoming was alright. no way home and far from home were just dogshit.
>Holland as Spiderman?
why do both people in this image look horribly out of shape
>bro . . .
If you use ellipses to end a sentence you are 100% an insufferable faggot online or off
i’m not convinced anyone truly likes tom holland’s spider-man. they like the idea of him and his potential, but the six movies he’s had, he’s never done what tugboat or even andrew did.
That's not alright
It's unironically Marvel's best movie
why did chris hemsworth laugh at him?
