WHAT DO YOU GET WHEN YOU CROSS A MENTALLY ILL LONER WITH A SOCIETY THAT ABANDONS HIM AND TREATS HIM LIKE TRASH
WHAT DO YOU GET WHEN YOU CROSS A MENTALLY ILL LONER WITH A SOCIETY THAT ABANDONS HIM AND TREATS HIM LIKE TRASH
a 4channer
I wouldn't say a single word to him; I would listen to what he had to say, and that's what no one did
Kino.
Amazing how after this movie the whole world went insane. It feels like years ago I watched it on theaters.
A gamer
Justice. The answer’s Justice.
Jonah Hill
It literally was almost 3 years ago
There were soldiers during my screening. At one point they just sat down and kept watching the movie because they realized no one was going to shoot anything.
I watched this again last night, and it wasn't as good as I remembered. The Murray Talkshow scene is kino, though.
Havent watched that yet
I completely believe that if Joaquin Phoenix were a tall man none of the bloggers and "journalists" would have been talking about Joker being an "incel loner weirdo" movie. They would have been writing articles about how sympathetic Arthur was. That is honestly the truth.
Worse, a 4channeler
I love the riddler's riddles.
Define mentally ill
Literally me.
Batman is ruined fuck realistic batman shit
Actual mental illnesses exist but most of the so called "mental illnesses" that (((doctors))) describe are literally nothingburgers
At the same time it actually occured to me how easy it is to fake a mental illness which makes me think that maybe everyone's just full of shit
Like if I believe that I am a "sane" person and I decide to just act like some crazy to get normies to believe it than where do you draw the line
Jeffrey Dahmer literally pretended to have seizures in public but at the same time he became a cannibal
>cannibal
He was just pretending
I know how this movie became a huge meme and all and virtually impossible to discuss earnestly in 2022, but seeing this shit in theaters was one of the most emotionally intense theater going experiences I’ve had in years. I’m sure the social climate buzz of the whole ‘incel shooter’ thing subliminally contributed to it, but by the time we got to the Murray Franklin show segment, you could just feel the most palpable tension in the theater. After it ended it was literally all I could think about for days and weeks, and as someone who vocally loathes capeshit, you can imagine how embarrassed I was to admit how much this movie made me feel. I think the fact this film is still so regularly discussed and the phoenix joker look/dialogue is still ever present shows that this wasn’t the flash in the pan so many were hoping it would be.
my ass
I laughed when he slit that fat clown's neck while the migit cries in terror but people were looking like I was the crazy one
Doesn't that mean the normies are the one's with the problem?
>I know how this movie became a huge meme
Happens to every single movie that becomes popular. If it doesn't become a meme or referenced daily then it's over. Now that the parody genre is pretty much dead, memes are the closest thing to it. Remember how much parodies of Matrix they were with that bullet time scene?
If a movie doesn't have memes then it's pretty much dead and forgotten.
i lol'd
everyone laughed at that when I saw it
>pretended to have seizures
when i had a seizure, it was so violent that i dislocated my shoulder and broke my arm.
i wanna see someone pretend to do that.
The dwarf not being able to open the door was pure kino dark comedy.
It made Letterboxd and Twitter angry as fuck though.
>It made Letterboxd and Twitter angry as fuck though
Lefties have no soul and therefore can't into humor
>you're awful, tower
The Left can't meme either
The normies at your movie theatre literally were NPCs
They're literally just background characters
Perhaps I phrased my post incorrectly. I was more so speaking in regards to discussions of the film’s quality or merits. On the Yea Forums side of things you’ll usually just get the whole poor man’s taxi driver/king of comedy shtick, and on the Letterboxd troon side you get the whole ew yucky incel shooter movie shit. Nobody is willing to look at the movie for what it is, just the meme aura that surrounds it.
Lol gangweed rize up
we gaan
It's only Letterboxd and Film Twitter that hates the movie. Most of here did enjoy it or were indifferent to it, like most movies. But Film Twitter absolutely despised this movie even before it was released. Even years from now they still seethe about it.
Sexual deviants and pol.
People get so angry when you even imply that males shouldn't be treated like disposable objects.
Yeah
Me on the left
It was a good movie. Very unoriginal but still thrilling
How about another thousand Murray?
Real subtle dialogue
I don't remember any of that happening.
A full schizo having a mental breakdown in live tv would be like that. Can you imagine a /pol/cel having a rant in television? it would be pure cringe kino.
>what do you get when you cross a mentally ill incel with a jew society that controls him and treats him like a nigger?
The character is supposed to be a narcissistic crybaby
literally me
This movie sucks
Regardless the movie fucking sucks. I wish it didn't have the fake incel controversy, sensationalist journalists, capeshitters, and poltards all propping it up, because then it would have just been seen for what it was: a mediocre pretentious movie and a sad attempt at trying to emulate Scorsese.
Faggot, how about you stop using all buzzwords in your Yea Forums dictionary to defend an stupid argument?
>sad attempt at trying to emulate Scorsese.
Scorsese didn't invent 70s cinema for shit, retarded american. He didn't even invent that aesthetic, he just copied it for audiences in that country. Same with most artists from those times. 70s cinema was like that mostly because it was after USA lost to Vietnam, so all movies had that hopeless cynical feeling or revolution and men going against the system. Scorsese was part of it, not the creator at all. How about you learn something about that period instead of just repeating what your fellow trannies say?
>sound of impact (end of recording)
kek
So this is the typical "if this didn't happen everyone would agree with me" mindset of the classic zoomer that can't really elaborate any kind of thought for himself?
based
literally me
YOU GET WHAT YOU FUCKING DESERVE!!
Context for this master plan?
he's a good actor
Army Reserve here, I legitimately had to conduct security at the Century 16 theatre in Aurora, CO the night that this movie came out in full fucking kit
It was horseshit
the subway gunshots were some of the loudest sounds I've heard
I'd think shooting a gun in an empty tunnel would be pretty loud.
You get a Yea Forums poster !!!121211
