I think season 2 was overall better than the first one...but yeah, it still sucked. It got a little better towards the end when they got tired of all these bullshit filler episodes and tried to actually do something with the story. Props to Bill Burr for having the only thing resembling an actual character in the series so far. But other than that...yeah, fuck you disney, it was terrible. Stop trying.

I don't mind special-really-strong-space-metal being a thing, but the Darksaber is really dumb in a way that doesn't really fit with Star Wars (IMO). It's too fantasy-like. Sure, Star Wars has always had Jedi and Sith using space magic, but that's always had this super philosophical bent that was mostly limited to force users directly affecting their immediate surroundings. The entire Mandalorian culture revolving around a magic sword that has ownership rules like a Harry Potter wand and will magically doom their people if you ignore it is just dumb.

I agree that the darksaber is really stupid and a lame concept. It shit up the Mandalorian's history and made their leadership inexplicably tied to the Jedi in full, rather than the Jedi effectively ending their culture. I hate that it has a shaped blade as well.
Beskar is also sorta crap too. I would have preferred that Mandalorians are just extremely competent, skilled combatants who are armed to the teeth with every weapon they could conceivably need in the moment. Boba Fett's rampage in Mando S2 is a good example of what I always imagined a Mandalorian fighter to be.
I also agree the Star Wars universe is beyond repair. There's no way to save it at this point.
