Did anyone watch this show?
Space Force canceled

I did watch this
youtube.com
Of course not. I don't know why the expected this to be relevant once Trump left office.
I watched season one and it was fucking garbage. Even brushing aside all of the pozzed shit, no one in the writers room even willing to say out loud that "this doesn't even make fucking sense". EG the stupid BB gun exercise episode trying to rip off Community.
I know i watched S01 but couldn't tell you to save my life what's the plot.
Something something... China being better at space than USA... something something... moon training...
It has Steve Carell tring his usual schtick but failing to get a laugh out of me, maybe John Malkovitch too?
I had no idea they actually started shooting this.
No. That's why it was cancelled.
I watched like most of the first episode when it came out.
It wasn't very good.
>Did anyone watch this show?
I watched it, but it was bad. It failed to be funny or interesting.
i watched it. pretty good too
It’s a good Trump era time capsule, also it’s loosely based on a real event. (The female astronaut who shit all over the space station to spite Trump and Russia)
>make a show just to mock Blumpf's space military program
>gets cancelled because nobody watched and Blumpf is not in the Oval Office anymore
saw a little bit of the first episode and it's typical lefty garbage about how USA le bad, everywhere else le good
It's pretty amazing it got 2 seasons. They never managed to make the humor work. It might be because the idea of a Space Force turned into actually making sense in the real world instead of becoming the joke liberals at first saw it as.
Season 1 ended with chinese and american astronauts stranded after sabotaging each others shelters. season 2 begins with everyone back home without explaining how they got there, and pretty much exclusively deals with character drama and nothing at all about space.
I knew the end of the Trump admin and beginning of Space Force as a branch of service would ruin the premise of the show, but I thought maybe they could find a way forward to at least still be funny. I was wrong. Season 2 was absolute boring garbage.
I'm positive it was already cancelled and held no hopes for a season 2... It's all hype, mine brutha... season 3 next fall probably... just sold to another network probably
It was mindless crap for sure... steve carrell always wanted to be musical with his roles didnt you know? im sure it'll get a 3 somehow
I watched the first episode, where they had Trump just give information to the Russians. Will that brainworm ever die?
Actually this. People make fun of the absurdity of it but shortly after it was formed commercial space flight started. Kinda funny how that times out but hey, I'm a schizo for seeing patterns. The fact is now there is a reason to have a branch of military to push for supremacy in this now developing frontier.
lol there was a second season? The first was shilled pretty hard here but I guess their shill budget got slashed for the second season.
What i don't understand is why every “joke” in the shoe never had a punchline.
Many lines felt like a joke but the punchline never comes
i tried to watch it. got through the first few episodes. its so luke warm. like some family sitcom from the 80s or 90s. the jokes, which few there are, were very soft and flacid, like floppy cocks. they either should have gone really really whacky with the show or gone really really cynical with it and made fun of it more. but they took some middle ground where its just boring as fuck, not funny, and not cynical. so its just nothing.
it also doesnt help that trump lost the election and the real space force, the inspiration for the show, is also basically dead.
No, no one watched that shit, but Netflix propped it up because they were in full Quantity over Quality mode. They've since learned that making a bunch of shitty shows with semi-popular TV actors doesn't help increase subscriber count, so they're cleaning house and preparing for a rebrand that reflects their new focus of making shit people actually want to see, which apparently is true crime and serial killer documentaries.
Maybe don't commission a series with the entire motivation being to "own" a certain man with orange skin.
Especially as it wasn't even a bad idea in the first place.
Will the inconvenient truth that Trump is in Putin's pocket ever go away? Probably not but you can keep crying about it.
One (1) term.
A bunch of millionaires flexing their wealth by going into low orbit is hardly indicative of humanity is venturing into a new frontier.
You'd think Trump would be running interference for putin rn if he was... Enjoy your fantasy realm.
Do they ever make shows like this when Democrats are in charge poking fun at Democrats?
South Park
He is. You just don't hear as much about it because he's been successfully deplatformed.
South Park is a show that poked fun of everything. I am talking about a comedy sitcom like show specifically created to mock Democrats like this?
>A bunch of millionaires flexing their wealth by going into low orbit is hardly indicative of humanity is venturing into a new frontier.
Elon Musk's SpaceX provides 80% of the payloads to the international space station, owns more satellites than every other company combined, and over launches over 1/4 of all payloads from earth into space. if you think private space flight is solely about sending up rich people on a holiday you're dumb as fuck. elon musk will be colonizing mars and mining asteroids within a couple decades.
>Trump is a Putin shill
>invades Ukraine the moment Trump leaves office
>>Trump is a Putin shill
>>invades Ukraine the moment Trump leaves office
everyone knows the best time to start a war is when your puppet politician in the opposing super power country is kicked out of office.
Everyone's impression of the first season was enough to wane interest or discussion in the show. I mean this shit was NEVER talked about here. Didn't the first season misfire by not having enough humor so people tuned out so they course corrected or some shit? Either way this wasn't "The Office: In Space" so no one gave a shit about it. I assumed it either had orange man bad-tier jokes or was another vain "Steve Carell tries to prove he has more depth than the clown he is" entry.
>Did anyone watch this show?
I watched the first episode a week ago or so and completely forgot about it till just now.
i did, it was shit, like really shit.
>I assumed it either had orange man bad-tier jokes
i didnt watch the whole thing, only a few episodes and even their ORANGE MAN BAD jokes were so luke warm and tepid and because they really really really didnt want to mention him by name because hes like voldermort or some shit it was really cringe. they'd just vaguely allude to him and queue a laugh track. not even snarky or funny, just dumb allusions to him.
>Probably not but you can keep crying about it.
but you people cannot let go of drumpf, he lives rent-free in your head and you can accept the destruction of your own country to get rid of him.
Now that the Space Force exists and looks nothiing like that, it's not funny
I turned it off after it showed his daughter sleeping with the russian officer and he just gives in and lets his daughter take money from him and embarrass him
I saw the first season, i thought it was just boring as shit.
Don't get me wrong, I despise Trump, but I have to commend him for creating the Space Force. The only reason it's mocked is because the name sounds goofy, but it's a vital part of military operations for the future.
Will the inconvenient truth that you will never be a woman go away? Probably not but you can keep crying about it.
One (1) X-chromosome.
it wasn't funny
>I had no idea they actually started shooting this.
Same. No idea that it lasted 2 seasons. Netflix is likely in a panic death spiral and cancelling all their unppular trash.
No it was made to own Trump
Watched first few episodes and just wasn't impressed.
They tried a little too hard to be a wacky comedy while still trying to keep it too toned down, so there was just far too many clashes between reality and cartoonish characters.
He's supposed to launch his own Twatter, soon.
>only the left thought the space force was a joke
Come the fuck on user. Everyone laughs at them. They still laugh at them.
Its fucking hilarious.
I mean, most of their shows — with the exception of the insanely popular ones like Stranger Things or their "Netflix Originals" (which are just shows created by another company that Netflix has the rights to show in other countries) — only really last 2 seasons or less.
>Will that brainworm ever die?
Unlikely. My boomer mother the other day was shrieking about him being Putin's stooge, Putin masterminded his election (and Brexit), etc. and was going on about how the Mueller probe was soft on him. They shut down and get angry the 2nd you contradict them. I need to do more research into what I've heard about Obama sanctioning media propaganda to use as a point when dealing with naive MSM-consuming boomers. The fact that as soon as I was looking into the Obama thing the top results were about fact checkers deboonking Obama sanctioning propaganda is a positive indicator he did and they're obfuscating and hairsplitting as they always do
>it's a vital part of military operations for the future
Love how trumptards repeat this ad nauseum and never point to any specifics of muh space warfare.
I can't think in particular a specific anti-democrat show, but there's been plenty of fun poked at various bits and pieces of democrats platform.
The boys for example has some very shoe horned in criticism of both political sides, its why I dislike the show desu. But it made fun of the whole "strong womenz!" Thing for a few episode (before backtracking later on)
In political shows you'll usually get some leftist mocking too because everyone knows all politicians are equally shut.
>the office is leaving your service
>in a moment of panic you give greg and steve a blank check to produce a replacement
>8 months later they deliver this
>initial numbers are ok because people think is the office but in space
>you renew the show based on those numbers
>by the time the second season is released you come to terms with your failure
>cancel
I watched both seasons. It wasn't very good, almost all of the humor didn't work, but it was good as background noise while I worked on other stuff
>guy says he hates trump yet you call him a trumptard
You don't seem particularly reasonable. Personally, I've never consider the Space Force much but shit, why wouldn't a nation try to explore space warfare and develop a new branch if they have the capabilities? Be silly not to try to get a head start in something like that.
Space was supposed to be a demilitarized zone so we don't fuck up the orbit with a bunch of space junk and it sets some bad precedence since up to a point space has been mostly a cooperative effort between nations.
Making it militarized could have more impact on future efforts.
I had it on my netflix list but always procrastinated
thanks for proving my point brainlet
Like I said, I despise Trump, he should be locked up the treasonous bastard. But...
Satellites are a vital part of modern day warfare, and other nations have shown they're developing weapons that can destroy them.
Having a dedicated branch of the military to handle space related operations is vital. It's just the modern equivalent of how the US eventually spun the US Army Air Corps into the Air Force.
They're not actually going to be putting people into space, that's just a meme, it's mostly an intelligence and logistics branch.
You're an absolute retard if you think that's all that will come of routine space travel being developed in earnest.
Every branch has a component dedicated to space. Space force just consolidates them.
I tried, but it was shit.
first season started off well but lost steam and jumped the shark halfway through
I was surprised it even got a second season
It's amazing to me how much shit netflix produces, if they only applied themselves somewhat, imagine what great tv shows and movies they could make on their fucking budget
They could have just tied it in with the airforce considering how similar the 2 overlap. It's not a huge mission set that warrants and entirely new branch.
You're the faggot who keeps tithing to him while he begs for donations.
I'm a proud straight man actually. You will never breed.
They still massively embarrassed Trump and go great clout on social media. 2 seasons isn't even that bad for a comedy show.
That's a weird event to make up in your head. Noone went on a shitting spree up there
The space force is a joke and everyone thinks so
Commercial shit was already going on zoomer get your dates in order
not american, go think about drumpf some more.
Interestingly enough, Mike Pence is pretty much the only guy under the Trump administration to escape literally everything. Nobody has anything bad to say about him. That whole "never be alone in a room with a woman" thing worked out spectacularly.
I watched for two minutes until he drove into the secret base in a crater or whatever then turned it off
Shouldn't you be on the frontline getting killed by Ukrainians?
>entire show based on a shit joke by ignorant morons
