gay general for literal manchildren. I hope you all get killed
Feeling's mutual, buddy.
But the eugenics war happened in the regular timeline. Is this whole season really hinged on the idea that if it happened a handful of years early it'd be this devastating? Or do the writers just not know the canon again?
spock understands that he/him pussy hits different
its time for bed user.
TP looks very expectant here.
TOS S3 is revolting, but I do find it funny that the one everyone hates because of the Indians (The Paradise Syndrome), has Shatner's best acting in the TOS bar none.
for a lovely night of snuggling in to watch trek with a lot of tasty snacks
>Did They Fuck?
yes
Fucking hell, the Picard season is an absolute mess structurally, what were they thinking?
Like episode 9 "reveals" things that were already revealed in the last episode.
They killed Elnor so they bring him back as a holograph? I don't... Doctor Soong's daughter is mad that Doctor Soong didn't tell her that she was an artificial human? And has teamed up with the Borg Queen to fix their relationship? Borg Queen hasn't assimilated Soong because... And Q is barely in, despite all posters heavily featuring him.
This is somehow worse than the first season.
He shouldn't have all that junk food. Bad parenting on Geordis part.
we know who was really behind this.
You have to love it.
how exactly does a hologram have the memories of Eleanor before he died?
so fucking dumb.
Final Frontier Klangs are different. Foreheads are different all around, and there's that female Klingon.
Search for Spock Klangs are pretty much the same, but they change so much during the TOS movies that they're more associated with TNG.
It's indefensible how bad it is. Legit one of the worst things I've ever watched.
they're mates
hnnng dat bicep
At this point only goods thing are:
>that one scene where Picard gave an inspirational speech to her great-grandmother
>Rios hanging around with the doctoress
I guess Rios will be staying in the past with his waifu
>Borg Queen hasn't assimilated Soong because...
He needs to create the Confederation.
Is that Maddox with his back turned?
I mean, at least the first season had budged for some visually interesting action scenes.
Why does she want him to create a state that will vanquish the Borg?
Good morning /trek/! Just 5 more days until the premiere of Star Trek: Strange New Worlds on Paramount+:
The IRL World Premiere is in NYC later today. Can't wait for the Trekkie reax.
AND THE FANS
In more Trek News, next Thursday is also the S02 finale of Picard, also on The Plus. Here's a trailer:
the fact this is the last episode and there's so much to cover means its going to be shit.
PIC S02 has been great, and Episode 10 is going to bring the season to a fantastic close.
As an organic poster, I have to say this is great news!
This is so bad. Couldn't the actress even try mimicking the mannerisms of the Borg Queen?
It's Riker?
>PIC S02 has been great,
no
That's not how acting works now.
>her tits out in red dress the entire time
>become borg
>suddenly boobs are so small they barely fit into the bust of the queen's body.
fucking shit.
CBS shill department, can get AMA?
Indeed. The borg swat scenes in the latest ep were all laughably cheap, they clearly have budget issues when you think about the amount of locations we've actually seen.
And the bit with Soong outside? Jesus Christ it was like something from and Asylum movie.
>As an organic poster
Why even try?
>borg
>still has hair
yep confirmed shit
>Couldn't the actress even try mimicking the mannerisms of the Borg Queen?
it's more based on Chloe in Smallville when she became Brainiac.
Just think how better off Star Trek would be as a franchise if Patrick Stewart had never come back.
Or better yet if he'd died.
>be borg queen
>cant assimilate ship
>feeling sad defeats you
>become good guy friendos
or if Kurtzman had been shot about 5 years ago
Real Trekkies love S02 of Picard. Guess you just don't fit in here.
There is a good show somewhere in Picard. If it was about Captain Rios and his crew then it would have been better.
Picard is the biggest case of a character I like being played by a retard that I've ever seen. Patrick Stewart certainly helped set up the sandy foundation for nuTrek with his pseud needs to be an action star that punches people and fucks women and drives buggies.
Why must they taunt us so...
>Real Trekkies
i guess Trekkies and Trekkers will always be different and Trekkies' taste is apparently gotten even worse.
Trekkers hate nu trek fucking die
I mean maybe that would even be ok. I Just don't like the pacing of the series they could be where they are now 5 episodes ago and still have 5 Episodes for more interesting stories and development but they keep hamfisting the whole thing.
>le bad ass McCoolguy who smokes on the bridge
Shitty character made to appeal to 13 year olds. He'd never be given his own command in real ST.
>the actress even try mimicking the mannerisms
Every Trek product seems to have less money than the previous season. STD season 1 had a huge budget compared to season 3.
It isn't just the lack of funds, but how poorly they utilize them. I don't understand what they thought was gonna happen:
>let's take sci-fi drama, and turn it into action slouch tv-show
>oh, no this is getting expensive and views are dropping, we better cut the budget
As the result, we have horribly written action-slouch with low-budged action scenes.
I just don't understand, TNG is universally loved for its writing and acting, it barely had any action scenes or budged for them.
It is like they don't even know how to stretch a penny:
>duh, all these future settings are expensive, we better do a time-travel season to modern-day
Sometimes I wonder what Nimoy was like in person. He and Shatner had a lot of fun behind the scenes, e.g. the stolen bicycle prank.
When DID it happen?
>1990s? Future's End doesn't look like that
>WW3?
Covid has put a dampener on things too, there's hardly more than 2 or 3 people in a scene and most of the time they're standing around talking to each other with 2 meters of space.
This is sort of hard to explain and I don't really have my thoughts together but I find the differences between the unstated assumptions in Trek vs nuTrek utterly fascinating from a political perspective. Especially TOS/TNG. TNG is like a near-perfect extrapolation of the sort of muscular, end-of-history liberalism that laid a heavy stress on self-improvement and strict rationalism. Sort of the extreme end point of Anglo-Saxon/Western liberalism.
For example something like Geordi's blindness couldn't be approached the same way it would today under Kurtzman. In Roddenberry Trek a disability would be acknowledged and ameliorated. In Kurtzman Trek that attitude would be seen as offensive and Geordi would be treated as a morally superior being by way of his condition. There is no society free of prejudice in nuTrek because that would vindicate Western liberalism and strip the characters of their one-note revengist personalities
she just needed someone to talk to.
lets be frens
Okay I believe this now.
Non-whites and invalids = morally superior
Whites = the devil
