absolutely kino. and I love Colin Farrell. no homo.
they filmed it in a film booth
Kino asf, saw it recently
Any other thrillers that scratch a similar itch? Minimal setpieces, all about the tension?
Kino flick
>whole movie is set in a coffin
How did they do it?
Locke
I wouldn't call that a thriller, it's really boring
All of S. Craig Zahler movies I guess. They don't take place in one single location entirely, but they do have tension and long drawn out scenes that take place in some sort of confined location in the end of every of his films. Definitely fits the bill of thriller, and they're low budget movies too.
I just remembered
>Circle (2015)
>people in a room have to vote on who dies next repeatedly
it was pretty kino for a low budget movie iirc
Huis clos is the most kino film genre. Simple as.
Yeah it's really good, definitely better that what you'd expect
Soldier guy and Asian guy with hat were my favorite
The obligatory r*ddit response.
It sucked though, boring with shit ending
Props to Hardy for doing the best he could though
it's a movie about manning the fuck up and taking responsibility
not surprised you guys would hate it
Not a thriller but, The Man from Earth is set entirely in the living room of a house and it's kino
based
I've always wanted to watch this but I thought it might suck. I'll watch it tonight.
>whole movie is set on a phone booth
>name it "phone booth"
bravo nolan
The Guilty (Original Danish version)
The Man from Earth (this answer will filter redditors)
...
Hateful Eight unironically.
>>whole movie is set on a phone booth
>How did they do it?
They filmed a dude in a phone booth
Coherence (2013) - absolut Kino you fags.
I relate Man from Earth with Coherence.
Someone already made that joke.
I don't know what you mean by this, but The Man from Earth and Coherence are solid picks for single setpiece movies
This movie is kind of retarded though
>person ostensibly trying to not be killed goes on racist/sexist/homophobic tirade that will obviously get them killed
>the next round everyone votes for the target the racist/sexist/homohobic guy wanted them to vote for anyway
WOW THIS REALLY SAYS A LOT ABOUT LIVING IN A SOCIETY....
>Coherence
that opening scene is the most swipple thing ever put to film
>swipple
what
12 Angry Men
The Sunset Limited
The kind of people an old blog called "stuff white people like" (swpl) used to talk about
basically urbanite white millennials
I wouldn't be surprised.
>mostly white urbunite cast
>their only other friend Amir/Emir, they don't really like and order around
I think it makes sense. Everybody who lived rent-free in the other people's heads had a high chance of dying.
That includes the people who were obnoxious but also the people that they were talking about.
That's why the old guy who didn't talk came that far.
Cube.
Based. Great movie. I skipped the sequel because it looked like shit.
Same. There was nothing to resolve anyway, the first movie does everything it needs to.
Fun fact the man who wrote it was on his deathbed at the time
please watch The Night Eats the World
>le subverted you expectations horror comedy
l..
>whole movie is set on a phone booth
it's not
Coherence is ultra low budget kino.
I actually liked this.
The 2018 version is Swedish, if that's the one you're thinking of.
What the fuck is a phone booth?
lost technology of the ancient boomers
boomerbros... not like this...
YOURE A FUCKING LIAR AND A FAGGOT AND I BE YOUR GAY TOO. THERE'S A SCENE WHERE THEYRE IN THE DRIVEWAY OF THE HOUSE SO THEYRE OUTSIDE OF THE LIVING ROOM YOUR WRONG. YOU LOSE. YOURE A FUCKING PHONEY. LOSER FUCK. WHY DO YOU WHEN LOST HERE IF YOU DONT EVEN WATCH THE MOVIE? LYING PHONEY FUCK

Vivarium.
no, the voice of the bad guy will stay with you for days
absolutely kino acting
Panic Room might count.
just watched this earlier after seeing your post, was a decent flick could have easily become a cult classic if they put just a bit more work into the ending, was still decent I will say
younger generations will never understand the shear terror of getting trapped in a phone booth
Ending was kinda shit, but the movie was great
Black dude was a total bro
Is this any good might watch it
Buried
127 hours I guess?
That new movie The outfitter or whatever I think takes place only in a shop
