Is this show worth watching?
Is it the Sopranos of China?
Is this show worth watching?
Is it the Sopranos of China?
It's shit
>character who is literally you
It's kino, but it helps a lot if you know who the characters are?
>modern chinks still think they're descendants of these people and not mongol rape babies
I watched it as a meme and didn't know anything and I marathoned through 90+ episodes in 1 week
you watched this show for over ten hours a day?
where can i watch the show?
All of it is on youtube
How many mongols do you think there were compared to chinese people?
A shame there is no torrent for the bluray around.
Enough that they conquered and ruled China more than twice, one time forcing all the men in the country to cut their hair into a queue.
Kinda went to shit after cao cao died
Liu Bei is a fag
yes, no
Shu should have won.
Fucking same. Started watching after seeing all the cao cao memes, wound up really enjoying the show.
more like the mongols turned into Chinese people. Learn history.
>Master Pavel, I'm Cao Cao
Cao Cao the only non bugman chink
>mongols
>queue
Americans were a mistake
MY LAND..MY BEAUTIFUL LAND..
Liu Bei had his moments
I watched the first episode and the part when one character used the epic legendary dagger to cut a stone in half made me reconsider.
Isn’t this supposed to be a realistic historic show? Why is that anime bullshit happening in the first episode?
it's kino
Anime is based off real life
>Isn’t this supposed to be a realistic historic show?
no lol
you must be fun at parties
It's mythologized version of history in line with King Arthur and Beowulf.
It's a million times better than anything the West has produced in the last two decades.
>mfw labor is so cheap in china the studio simpy hired tens of thousands of extras instead of using CGI.
It's unique
>defeats you in battle and takes your commandery
>lets you live but fucks your wife
Mengde you scoundrel!
>The sopranos of China
LMAO
wasn't there one guy who played several different minor characters? I don't want to sound racist but I swear it's the same guy.
BBAAAAAAAOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
Damn. I thought it was Rome: China edition.
There goes my interest.
Yes, I didn't save that meme but there's several guys who are rotated around as minor characters. But I think that's a GoT thing as well.
Nolan hack confirmed?
Its pretty KINO, I prefer the early parts before the actual Three Kingdoms come about but its all pretty good and well acted/cast. I highly recommend the book too, Moss Roberts translation is the best and real men read unabridged. The series is also easier to follow if you read the book or already know the history and geography of late Han China.
hey not all of us takes the time to learn about the fucking Manchu of all people
>he doesnt know about the draconic blood of manchurians
Ngmi
They pray to old government officials so pretty much all their history is a blend of mythology really wierd culture but very interesting
I mean I do I was just covering for user btw what's this show called I just came to shoot the shit about history it looks really good though
It pretty much is, I guess. There isn't much super natural stuff in it. It's all politics and war.
Romance of the three kingdoms 90s edition. 100+ political opera with dozens of main characters and character arcs. Based on the historical novella of the same name, written some 2000 years ago. Its top tier kino with some levity and good action scenes
Three Kingdoms (2010)
Thanks I hope they do water margin next or maybe something more fantasy like some of the old god and demon books
Its as "realistic" as King Arthur legends, or battle of Troy with invincible Achilles.
+ Ends a bit too early, to the death of Sima Yi, we don't get to see how his descendants take over entire China.
+ Lot of actors spitting blood and doing neat physical stunts like falling off buildings, being set in flames and falling down with horses in battle scenes.
+ Plenty of juicy backstab court politics and scheming chancellors and lords.
+ You get some pretty chinese women in pretty dresses.
+ Impressive number of episodes given how low the budget was. Hong Kong really knows how to stretch the show/film budgets.
+Cao Cao and Sima Yi are both well acted and great characters.
+Liu Bei throws a baby to the ground.
- Lu Bu/Diaochan subplot drags just a little bit too long.
- The editing in fight scenes can be really crappy sometimes, almost as bad as Gladiator.
- Some of the old people makeup is hilariously bad. Xu Shu's mother especially.
7/10 show overall, editor having a stroke in fight scenes is the only real major complaint.
The one from 2000+ years ago is not a novel. They're historical records.
How many times this nigga gotta repeat himself before that fool gets it?
The fight choreography saved those scenes, they were awesome despite the mediocre directorial work.
I mean im not gonna argue with you but you gotta admit that some of a 2000 year old story is anachronized
Thats the guy who has like 20 different support roles. I just pretended he's always the same guy when watching the show, poor peasant dude who has to work multiple jobs at once.
Test
I haven’t seen this but I can already tell this is CCP chink propaganda. Mao already scrubbed most of China’s already fantastical “historic” documents and replaced them with embellished bullshit.
At least, The Northman serves as an actual grounded piece of historical kino.
Dude Romance of the Three Kingdoms was written in the 1300s ABOUT shit that happened 2000 years ago. That shit really happened but the 1300s novel romanticizes all of it.
Has anyone made a compilation of every time someone spits blood yet?
No it isnt chink shill. RoTK is just Chinese wish fulfillment fan fiction about their equally degenerate ancient culture.
I think you're confusing the 1300's novel with the historical text.
I enjoyed it more than I expected, but it's quite long, could be a chore for some.
>CCP propaganda.
The "villains" win in the end. The propaganda was already there in the original novel, because the author wouldn't dare to write an epic where usurpers of the empire would be depicted as heroes, he would've lost his head. So despite Liu Bei being depicted as the "good guy"-faction filled with heroes and Cao Cao being a magnificent bastard who fucks other people's wives, the end result still is that the bad guys and the schemers win.
>I haven’t seen this but I can already tell this is CCP chink propaganda.
I'm not exaggerating when I say that the red Chinese insectoids can make more heroic films than Hollywood. Hollywood has completely lost the plot and have backwards insane beliefs. The CCP propaganda in movies is obvious but doesn't make it unwatchable, unlike the insane deconstruction propaganda in Hollywood movies.
>I haven’t seen this but I can already tell this is CCP chink propaganda. Mao already scrubbed most of China’s already fantastical “historic” documents and replaced them with embellished bullshit.
Let's all listen to the amerifat scholar here.
The real historical texts aren't entirely accurate either, its more of a bits of pieces and the Romance of Three Kingdoms filling in the gaps. Thats why its comparable to King Arthur or Battle of Troy, because it got romanticized by later era historians, while in reality King Arthur probably wasn't a shining dude in armor but some hairy barbarian living in a hut and Battle of Troy was probably based on a real battle that took place during Bronze Age.
You're fucking retarded. Glorifying the past is the literal opposite of what the CCP wants. There's nothing to shill here
Have sex incel
