So the way I see it is that most of the active internet users from that age got older and more cynical as time went on and the rage comics worked less as a reflection of the group than the wojak, which not only reflected the general alienation and nerdiness but also could be warped in ways that the rage comics couldn't be cause they were stuck in the lolsorandum late 2000s-2012 mindset that doesn't exist anymore
