Adam Sandler
Uncut Dicks
Dane Cook in Mr Brooks
Jim Carry in Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind.
Bill Murray in Lost In Translation.
Robin Williams in Good Will Hunting.
Jamie Foxx in Collateral.
John C. Reilly in Magnolia.
Tom Hanks in anything.
Not sure if shows count, but Bryan Cranston went from Malcolm in the Middle to Breaking Bad.
>Adam Sandler in PDL, Uncut gems, and Myerwitz stories
>Bill Murray in Lost in Translation
>Jim Carrey in Truman snow and Eternal sunshine
>Bill Hader in Barry
>Adam Scott in Severance
Why is it so much easier for comedic actors to transition and do well in serious roles than the other way around?
Robin Williams in One Hour Photo
though in all honesty OP, it probably is Uncut Gems
Because being comedic often requires you to be able to have a broader set of emotions and playing them in a broad spectrum often to the extreme.
Guillermo Francella in The Secret In Their Eyes
What's the worst one? Probably some Steve Carell movie
Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind
a real uncut gem you've got
>Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind
meh
Vice maybe? He didn't seem to know what he was supposed to be doing so his Rumsfeld just came out has some kind of bizarro Michael Scott.
Not everyone likes Kaufman. Maybe you should go back to watching Marvel movies.
Bob Odenkirk and Michael McKean in Better Call Saul are both very good, especially against eachother
Comedic actors are both very intelligent and extremely depressed. You can only view the world in a funny way when you notice how shitty certain things are. They just turn off the coping defense mechanism of laughing at things and suddenly they’re incredibly serious and draw you in. Whereas pure serious actors are retards who buy 100% into society who are probably only depressed artificially to gain social points, so when they’re asked to be funny, they can’t make it seem genuine at all
Not that guy, but Kaufman is talented but its not like everything he touches is brilliant. Synecdoche is one of the most tedious things I've ever seen.
Nominating Beat Takeshi in Sonatine or one of his other films.
>if you don't like X you must like Y
Underrated, did a great job bringing across the obsession with making the film and to hell with peoples lives.
Forgot to attach an image.
Tropic Thunder Tom Cruise
Jumunji The Rock
Leslie Nelson
There are a ton more and you’re wrong
Yeah, I'm thinking the MCU is more your speed.
I legit did not recognize Cruise the first time I watched that
Absolute retard
robin williams was pretty good in one hour photo, too
Robin William's in Awakenings.
that's that
I heard this toy was from his personal collection?
lol, midwit. probably seethes over subtitles, too.
Subtitles are fine, user. Wouldn't want you to watch anime dubbed.
>Barry
>Serious role
I've never seen a single anime. Couldn't even name one offhand.
...
It can get serious when it wants to. Him killing Chris, Janice, and telling Gene about Korengal are good examples of Hader showing his acting chops
The 2022 Russian Invasion of Ukraine
also insomnia
Seems like more of the opposite, like RDJ hamming it up in Tropic Thunder.
Seth Rogan in people's Twitter DMs
Zelensky is a comedian though
Which comedic actor hasn’t convincingly pulled off a dramatic role?
Rob Schneider
john belushi, dan akroyd, chevy chase, eddie murphy, john candy
>john candy
Eat shit he was great in Cool Runnings.
I was thinking about the Russians.
Which is a comedy even if he plays the straight man
thats a comedy
I wasn't
Randy Quaid in Independence Day
His role is drama, he plays a serious character in a comedy movie and hes fantastic.

Being funny requires natural talent that can't be developed with practice alone, maybe.
but i liked puch drunch goyim
Kino
How has no one posted our boy Jonah Hill yet?
We have taste, user.
The John Candy scene in JFK is the highlight of the whole film
I liked War Dogs. Miles Teller is characteristically shit but Jonah Hill is great
Truman Show is better.
I hate Nu-SW, but damn, Bill showed some good acting prowess there.
Not only Top Cruise in Tropic Thunder but that might have been the hardest I laughed at a movie.
The way he says it as powerfully as anyone possibly could gets me.
