Horror

Does Yea Forums even care for horror movies anymore?

Those recs aren't for you eyes.

i do

not really anymore.
the slow burn bone chilling etc shit has really dampened my love for horror movies.
now in every fucking movie mental illness or getting sick is the real horror.

i watch /hor/ for she

nu-horror sucks

Well, I will supply fresh webms to keep /hor/'s rotten, blasphemous corpse going until October.

whoa what was his problem?

based Kung Fu poster

name of movie?

I've been watching classic pre-60s horror films, but nobody gives a shit about those.

movies from the 80s or 70s are classics, movies from the 50s are relics at this point.

/hor/ is an annual thing because it's more special that way. We all hide under the floorboards until September/October.

whats this?

Perhaps I would care for horror movies made past the early 2000s if the top minds in charge still greenlit horror movies worth caring for.

I never did. I like the dedicated horror threads though. Clearly, there's an audience and a passion for it.

get fucked retard, your d list slasher shit will always pale in comparison to actual horror.

The genre has also been dumbed down by ESG bullshit that currently makes American cinema and tv utterly mediocre and negligible.
I'll still watch X at some point, but the comments about how it forces interracial/cuckold scenes has made me less interested in it, so it won't see my money.

the movie is about porn sluts, how is this actually an issue for you sensitive retards? according to your same logic, the coalburners end up paying the toll, isn't that based and redpilled? someone please explain the logic of the retardation around this movie.

If you're only looking to get frightened then I guess you're setting yourself up for disappointment with older films, but there's more to horror than just that.

He was legit the only character who didn't want to deal with the horror shit in the movie as opposed to the other naive retards but was "forced" to help as a sense of duty to the community

For me, it's Red Horror

Horror is too scary for me...

I haven't watched much horror since my kids were born. Son is older now so Halloween week we watch the classics. I personally don't care for the modern gorefests. Old school creepy practical effects are cool.

>watch hellraiser
>less scary than trying to buy a gallon of milk in Fresno

That scene with the kid that crawled out of his grave, sealed the deal for me.

For me it was realizing the horror was actually from malevolent eldritch entities from the beyond controlling the corpses than just normal ghostshit

Hellraiser was never scary unless you were a teen girl.
It has always been about the themes, imagery and atmosphere as with lots of horror

Don't worry user, just get a bf/gf and watch it with them!
or a dog actually

that was the only vhs movie that i really liked.

Hellraiser 2 is the sickest most demonic movie ever made. No seriously go back and watch it. It disturbed the shit out of me and I’m a 30 year old liveleak scholar

indeed.
the scene with the crazy guy killing himself on the mattress, the doctor having flashbacks to his borderline serial killer youth, the doctor in fucking general as he gets turned into a cenobite.

also the atmosphere is great when hell starts seeping into the sanatorium.

The story gets messy and barely comprehensible towards to the end because of last minute script rewrites and budget cuts but it has some of the most striking imagery you'll ever see in a horror movie, it's just non-stop crazy shit after crazy shit.

wtf why is this stickied?

You probably like black penis, but the interracial aspect is said to be forced-- it isn't inherently unacceptable, it's just burdensome. Again: I haven't seen the movie, but the word of mouth it got led it to being overlooked by many.

>the scene with the crazy guy killing himself on the mattress
Man movies used to be on another level. I’ve seen cartel videos less upsetting

Of course, I just watched Dead and Buried this past weekend. Loved the opening scene that luls you into thinking it's going to be a cornball movie, but suddenly the townsfolk entrap the guy and set him on fire.

they stopped making them
it's hard to make woke horror movies

I wish the Lab/Hell looked more like some scenes in Hellraiser 1 though, see webm

Not until october lol I'm gonna start /hor/ in September for the third year in a row

I like horror and watch it plenty in my free time but the /hor/ threads are only ever good during the halloween season

Can't wait, user.

this one was made by /hor/ last halloween

thanks user, added to the collection.

I watched The Exorcist recently and it was some of the funniest shit i've ever watched. Was it supposed to be a comedy?

It's a movie made in the early 70s back when religion was far stronger and people legit were deathly scared of demons and demonic possession, user.
It's like watching a horror movie from the 50s and thinking it's silly or nowhere near as scary as post 90s horror.

Honestly, despite the pozzed looking cast the movie was actually quite decent for Texas Chainsaw.
Had nice pacing, lots of gore and some great shots too.

bottom right guy looks like one of the stains in my toilet after I go for a massive shit

Yeah, I liked how it subverted some woke tropes too, it was pleasantly surprising for a modern flick. The bus scene where they try to cancel Leatherface in particular was funny.

i enjoyed Nu Texas way more than A24's X

What is this from

That's a hot take, but I'll allow it.

the pizza box you opened it i came

Attached: pinhead fat.jpg (1280x720, 78.6K)

I didn’t know Jim Norton played Pinhead.

Any fun monster movies released recently

Attached: critter fun.webm (1920x1024, 2.95M)

Apparently theres a new Hellraiser coming out by the guy who made the Ritual which was absolute KINO. I’m praying its good

your box, you opened it, I came

This is like the millionth time I’ve seen a zoomennial say this

It's posted by the same user trying to be funny

This was made for people like me to enjoy watching woke zoomer fags get chainsawed.

wouldn't "cockraiser" make more sense if the sexes were swapped in this image? as it is, it seems to imply that the dickobite makes men erect

cool

The Sadness is playing at my local theatre for one weekend randomly so I’m going Friday. What am I in for ?

you're putting way too much thought into, way more than they ever did
they probably thought
>pinhead but instead of pins he has cocks on his face
>brilliant, what do we call it
>idk, cockraiser?
>brilliant, fund it

Resident Evil 7 made horror movies obsolete
