>HEEEEEERRRRREE WE ARE
>BORN TO BE KINGS
Kino opening.

Did you really just forget about the theme song by Queen?

The series is better than the movies.
Cope, haters.

Haven't touched any of the series other than the first movie. Am I missing anything?

I didn't care for it.

I loved how it was nearly impossible to tell the difference between this show and Renegade if you just tuned in during the middle of an episode.

The first movie is way better than the series. I do prefer Duncan over Connor though.

Only because the second and third movies shit the bed, first movie is kino. Honestly, it feels better as an ongoing thing like a series than a one off movie, the concept is amazing for a TV show.

i like when he fight bull from night court

>The first movie is way better than the series
No it isn't.
How do you feel about the rest of the movies?

>No it isn't.
It literally is

Attached: highlander-laughing.gif (638x350, 2.23M)

It literally isn't.
The first movie isn't even that good.
The highlander series is amazing.

I remember watching this but can only recall the one episode with the immortal retard.

Yeah. See All you need to know is this:
youtube.com/watch?v=WgCFRwt050Y

That animated movie they made actually wasn’t that bad either

How can you recall one of the worst episodes in the series? 99% of them are great.

Man that opening is kino but the quality of that video is poor as fuck.

I remember watching this as a kid and having no idea that they were supposed to be different characters and then becoming really confused because they are literally the same character

Posted this before: my first time where I saw an important character die. Before HBO made it a trope. It's probably pretty cheesy. I remember Duncan going through books in his library and thinking of the good times with his wife while 'Dust in the wind' played. But it always stayed with me, I'd never been confronted with the possibility that good people could die on tv. I think she died off screen.

This is from yt. If you download the series the quality is better.

You keep saying that but you're wrong.

Peak Steven Seagal would have been the perfect Highlander.

lol true. Duncan is just better at speaking in a scottish accent.

The movie is good. The series is great.

Why did the 90's have so many comfy series?

Look man, i love the series, trust me, i used to watch it every week and I already admitted to Duncan being the better protagonist but no, the movie is way better.

Attached: kIw.gif (294x229, 995.02K)

It's not a good film but the Kurgan is still one of the most iconic villans of all time

Movies really fucked it up with that alien bullshit... that`s why we can`t have nice things. That said the recreations were low budget and combat choreography could have used some more work. The stories however were pretty great and the highlander concept is very appealing on itself (though they really should retcon that alien bullshit. Seriously, no explanation would have been better than that explanation)

The movie had 3 great actors but nothing else. The series explores better the notion of immortality, shows how immortals live today, how they managed to adjust (or not) from the past, it has the watchers, and many other things that compel you to watch 6 fucking seasons.

I like to wonder how well immortals would get on with fake IDs and shit in the 2010s onward. The series already explored some of the issues they were having, such as when Richie died on TV and so he was “dead for an entire generation” now according to Duncan because of how public it was.

Or the whole “my grandfather set up this bank account and I’m here to collect” deal. Most I think wouldn’t fly, or there would be governments who know about immortals now.

>SERIES SHOWS MORE STUFF

GEE MATE, WONDER WHY.

You know what you win. The series is better. There.

Uh I know that retard. I have the entire series.
My point was why couldn't you find a better quality youtube video.

Kek

>By August 1994, the ozone layer is fading and will be completely gone in a matter of months. Millions perish from unfiltered solar radiation, including Brenda Wyatt MacLeod. Before dying, Brenda asks Connor to promise he will solve the problem of the ozone layer. By 1999, Connor MacLeod is the supervisor of a scientific team headed by Dr. Allan Neyman that creates an electromagnetic shield to protect Earth from radiation.
Ozone layer scam, prior to the rebranding into Global Warming then Climate Change, then Climate Emergency.

And that's not even the worst Highlander movie.

All the iceberg should have melted like 10 years ago, how come the science have been wrong over and over again concerning the environment?

>the movies turned the Highlanders into ayylmaos
lmao

Anyone else here try to carry conceal a katana underneath a raincoat?

Nah only one movie did that. The rest of the movies did other things.

Because even the though the narrative is always changing the science is always settled

No shit. It is impossible to be anonymous today in the western world. Maybe today most immortals would go to Africa or some other no-tech country to disappear for a generation. However, with immigration being what it is today, i have no idea how they could come back to the western world and create a new identity.

They learn to become good hackers.

Why were Connor and Ramirez brothers?

>when you live long enough to be the only white people left on the planet

They weren't.

I wish Yea Forums allowed webms with sound so i could post highlander moments. Maybe next time i will create a thread at /gif/...

>he thinks the jews will win

Today they would just call themselves "undocumented migrants" and democrat governments will give them a driver's license, no questions asked. Juan Duncan McLeod Rodriguez.

Just go to /wsg/ and the "webms for other boards" thread.
/gif/ is for porn.

My boomer brother loved this show.
He called him the hindgrinder because he fucked so many bitches.

Top fucking kek

Could that be The Source?

Tessa was the only qt tho

was it kino?

>Mohamed Maculaud
ftfy

So why was Ramirez helping Connor, what was his deal?

That's my personal worst.
But I don't remember the plot for Highlander 3.
Endgame wasn't that bad.

No.

Watch the movie retard.

With the ozone layer, they phased out the CFCs causing it to fade.

Unironically would be Kino. To see how immortals cope with new tech.

Not only was it a terrible part of the franchise but the animation was shit-tier and the voice acting god awful.

Immortal custom is usually to help a new immortal figure shit out.

Kek

Some good immortals help newly created immortals in order to survive. This doesn't happen all the time as the series shows and some new immortals just get decapitated.

He saw himself in him. Immortals can't have children, so he took him under his wing and treated him like his son.

Highlander 3 was basically the first movie but with magic.
Endgame was kind of nice at the time it came out, it was really nice to see Duncan again but Connor looked terrible, it made me cringe a bit.

Or with 3-letter agencies. I don't see how they would escape the notice of such large organizations.

Me too but because I didn't watch episode one where Connor shows up.

I liked Highlander 3 in it's own way.
I think Mario Van Peebles was self aware of how bad it was in his acting and his jokes were pretty good.

Another reason the series is better than the movies is that Andrian Paul was actually fit and practiced martial arts for real.

In the show, the Watchers covered up their messes.

they filmed a scene from this show at the park near my house, stunt man gets dragged behind a convertible or something outside a chapel

For me, it was 'Renegade'
