It's not just that but also Linda Hamilton's bone and facial structure. She's very beautiful, but you could describe her as handsome. Strong jawline, square and angular, and when she gets shredded like she did for T2 she looks dangerous and fearsome.
Emilia Clarke is baby faced, round and soft and just comes off looking soft especially because it doesn't seem like she worked out at all for the role, or at least not like the way Linda did to get clear visible muscles to enforce she's gotten strong and powerful in preparation for Judgement day.

But shouldn't that at least be pretty standard. I mean, they make sure that Chris Pratt can go from chubby shulb to six pack for GOTG you think they can try to do something similar to make sure girls have six pack and ripped thighs if they're going to do something like Wonder Woman and/or Sarah Conner.
